• Android sending SOAP object over Https via ksoap2 2.5.8

  My first time posting a question here so please do not mind my mistakes here. I'm currently making an android application fetching and sending information from a .asmx web service. Everything goes well with the ksoap2 library and am using HttpTransportSE to call the web service. So now what I'm trying to do is to use the HttpsTransportSE to call the web service over Https. I got java.security.cert.certpathvalidatorexception trustanchor for certpath not found exception. I have the server certificate in .pfx , .jks and .bks format. My questions is what do i do with it to make my HttpsTransportSE call to be success? I've read around with articles using custom SSLSocketFactory but am still not sure how to implement it in my application. Thanks in advance for any suggestion/advices

• Table changes depending on dropdown list values with servlet

  What I want to realize is the following: In a JSP x I have a 3 dropdownlists and a button called edit when user click this button a table dynamically should be displayed. Now this table is modified correponding the values in those 3 dropdownlists. So it can be 3 cols or 4 cols or even 6 cols, it depends on the selected values. So what I tried is to use the servlet to getParameter doing the if clause construct the html and then forward the response. Have you any the suggestion of the structure that I can use in JSP? • Load all images from internal application

  I am trying to load all the .png files from an internal application folder into a list control and I am stuck on exactly how to do it. I have tried httpservice to get the folder and count how many images there are so I can loop through them but I just cant figure that out. File structure -src -(default package) -my application files -icons -all my .png files httpService i tried: <s:HTTPService id="loadAllImages" destination="/icons" result="gotImages(event)" fault="loadAllImagesFault(event)"/> This always results in directory not found. Am I going about this completely wrong? Anyone have a suggestion?

So my 1st question is about the difference between DG & DM. I'm confused. There're so many concepts around data management. Data quality, data security, data governance, data profiling, data integration, master data management, metadata management.... It seems like neither of them is EXACTLY separated, they're together. • Working with image pixels

  Hey Guys, I'm trying to do a project here, which I want to implement the following: I have a rotation matrix and translation matrix are estimated, now I have an image in a certain location and I want to multiply all the image pixel by the rotation matrix and add the results to the translation matrix..... My issue is how to work with the pixels? I mean how to extract the pixel from the image in order to do the operation that I mentioned above? it's ok to give me the suggestion in either opencv or c++ *I need to know how to do this operation new_p(x,y) = old(x,y)* rotation_matrix + translation_matrix. I'm defining the image like that IplImage(), 3 channel image. For now I need to do the geometrical transformation* Thank you.

• In your opinion what web technology would be best suited for building dropdown menus?

  What I need is a slide menu that is activated by one click. The menu then appears and doesn't disappear until user clicks any where else on the current page. I don't require any effects but need something reliable that I can style with ease, put a thumbnail of a photo inside change dimensions, add mouse over effects etc. I've done a several searches on google and quite a lot of options are coming up and I'm not too sure which would be best for me. I've seen some people suggestion html + css3 and others suggest jquery. Does any of these options have a benefit over the other? I would appreciate your opinions and maybe some links thanks.

• NUnit with an ASP.net web site

  Hi folks, I'm currently trying to upgrade our build server at work, going from having no build server to having one! I'm using JetBrains TeamCity (having used ReSharper for a couple of years I trust their stuff), and intend to use NUnit and MSBuild. However, I've come up with an issue: it appears that it is not possible to test an ASP.net Web Site with NUnit. I had assumed it would be possible to configure it to test App_Code after build, however it seems that the only way to do tests nicely is through converting the Web Site to a Web Application (which my boss does not like the idea of). Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I could go about this? Please bear in mind that the testing needs to be able to be fired automatically from TeamCity.

  I built many a website, and my own 'custom' framework is just a general box of scripts cobbled together with loose ideas. I would love to progress to a framework which allows me to pass it onto the client for freedom. Someone suggested using wordpress but I'm not sure how general this can be. A current site I need to build is a fancy kitchen company, price lists, flash gallery (with backend driven pics) and well designed home. How could I bend the the will of wordpress?   I am currently developing an Android Application for my Final Year Project. But to be honest I do not have any basic knowledges and everything started from scratch and referring to online tutorials a lot. Here is my question, I was trying to retrieve data from listview activity. There are two listview in my page using button. I was able to display the first listview but when it get data for the second listview, the data for first listview is disappeared because the page is refreshed, vice versa. • Active MQ showing more than one (ghost) consumer

  We have a system that uses ActiveMQ (Queues) - and have exactly one producer and one consumer (implemented as a Windows Service in .NET). Over the weekend, the infrastructure team had a reboot of the servers on the network, and from then on we noticed that there are more than one ghost consumer appearing that listens to the queue and we also suspect reads and deletes the messages. My questions are: is there any way from the Active MQ management console to find out what the consumers are (hostnames, etc). and Are there any scenarios in which inadvertent consumers get 'created'? For instance, there were suggestions about the active MQ journal folders getting corrupted after a reboot, or there is another suggestion that another machine with Active MQ broker automatically makes itself a consumer of all the queues on the main/live active mq server.

  Hi, I have a Tour object which has many Place objects. For the list of tours, I want to show some info of the tour, the number of places of the tour, and three Place's images. Right one my SQL queries are (i'm using Doctrine with Symfony on MySQL) get Tour get Tour 1 places get Tour 2 places get Tour 3 places ... get Tour n places If I have a three Tour list, it's not so bad; but I'm sure it can get bad if I do a 10-20 tour-list. So, thinking on how to improve the queries I've thought of several measures: Having a place count cache Storing the urls of three images on a new tour field. The problem with 2. is that if I change the image, I have to check all the tours to update that image for another one. What solution do you think is best to scale the system in a near future? Any other suggestion. thanks!

• Why are there two implementations of std::sort (with and without a comparator) rather than one implementation with a default template parameter?

  In my code I'm adopting a design strategy which is similar to some standard library algorithms in that the exact behavior can be customized by a function object. The simplest example is std::sort, where a function object can control how the comparison is made between objects. I notice that the Visual C++ provides two implementations of std::sort, which naturally involves code duplication. I would have imagined that it was instead possible to have only one implementation, and provide a default comparator (using operator< ) as a default template parameter. What is the rational behind two separate versions? Would my suggestion make the interface more complex in some way? Or result in confusing error messages when the object does not provide operator Thanks, David

• PHP: image size help me out

  Yes following from this: PHP: if more than ..px resize to.. As you can see it resizes if: if($width > 604 && $height > 453) { This works fine.. Although what if $width is over 604, and $height is under 453.. eg: 604x300, then this will skip the resize procedure..and same contrary(width is under, height is over). Also, if the dimensions on a picture is 500x900, and it gets resized, it gets really ugly resized. any great fix? Any good suggestion on how I should handle this please?

• Which event to catch for application shut down?

I don't know which phoneGap event to catch just before application shut-down so I can make sure data is saved before shutdown completes. • font from psd file for web page

  I recently took on a project to build a webpage. I am an experienced developer but never worked with coding a psd file into a webpage. Now, the psd file uses a specific font, which I do not have probably, as I can see it in grey and [ ] at the bottom of the fonts list. Sorry for the naive question, but what am I supposed to do from the client's point of view? Should I have that font? Should I buy it? Can I extract it from the psd file? • Couldn't assign 'top' from variable in jQuery Animate

  Hi, I am stuck here, i am trying to animate number of 'x' divs (the code below is just for one div) by selecting their original 'top' position & adding some 'newTop' pixel values to them. var dur = 1500; var origTop = $("#div_x").position().top; var newTop = parseInt(origTop) + 30; $("#div_x").animate({ top : newTop + "px" }, dur); I checked alerting the 'newTop' variable and it's showing correct values but the animation is not working. • How do I add a loading indicator to my page while my iframe loads?

  I am currently creating a page where upon clicking a link an iframe is inserted into a div and it's contents loaded. I do this using the following jQuery call: $('#mydiv').html('<iframe src="sourcelink.html" frameborder="0" width="760" height="2400" scrolling="no"></iframe>'); Sometimes the source content loads very slowly and, as a result, it looks like nothing is happening. I would like to have a simple loading animation while the content is loading while the iframe's content loads. When the iframe finishes loading it's content should pop in and the loading animation should go away. I've been considering a couple ways I could do this (e.g. having a separate loader div to simply swap the two in and out) but I'm not sure of what the 'best' approach to solving this problem is. Perhaps I shouldn't be using .html()? I'm open to suggestion if there is a more correct solution.
