  • compare password hashes between c# and coldfusion

    Hello, I have a password hash that is stored in a table and is put there by the following coldfusion script- #Hash(EnCrypt(UCase(GetPass.username),EnCode))# I am trying to add some outside functionality within a c# application. I would like to be able to take advantage of the data that already exists so that I can authenticate users. Does anyone know how I can replicate the above coldfusion code in c#?     I have a HTML node like so: <b>Bold text</b> A variable $el contains a DOMElement reference to the text of that HTML node ("Bold text"), got from the XPath expression //b/text() I want to change the element to <b><span>Bold Text</span></b> So I tried: $span = $doc->createElement('span', "Bold Text"); $el->parentNode->replaceChild($span,, $el) which fails because parentNode is null. So, as a test, I tried: $el-insertBefore($span, $el); which throws no errors but produces no change in the output. Any thoughts?

How can I view the text file in the android device emulator.( I heard android doesn’t come with Text Editor form stack overflow). I don’t want to open Text file I need to find if the text file is in the device or not. My file explore application list the available file in the sdcard. It lists the text file name also but in the device emulator how can I find the text file?????

  • Hiding text under an image for SEO purposes

    I am going to use a large image on my page with a bunch of text on it. The reason I am including body text on an image is because the text will be rotated, and there currently isn't any GREAT solution for rotating text seamlessly across all browsers. On this image, there is a lot of text, and I want it to be indexed by search engines. (but its a picture so it's content won't be indexed, obviously) If I was to include a div with all the text html and set the css to display:none, would Google still index the content that is hidden under the picture? Are their any other solid solutions here?

  • "Zoom" text to be as big as possible within constraints/box

    First problem: You have 400 pixels width to go on, and need to fit some text within that constraint as large as possible (thus, the text shall use that amount of space). Throw in a new constraint: If the text is just "A", then it shall not zoom this above 100 pixels (or some specific font size). Then, a final situation: Linebreaks. Fit some text in the largest possible way within e.g. 400 x 150 pixels. An obvious way is to simply start with point 1, and then increase until you can't fit it anymore. This would work for all three problems, but would be very crude. The fitting of a single line within bounds could be done by writing it with some fixed point size, check the resulting pixel bounds of the text, and then simply scale it with a transform (the text scales properly too then, check out TransformUI). Any ideas of other ways to attack this would be greatly appreciated!

  • How to store and compare time-zone sensitive times

    I have a data structure where an entity has times stored as an int (minutes into the day) for fast comparison. The entity also has a Foreign Key reference back to a TimeZone table which contains the .NET CLR ID Name and it's Standard Time/Daylight Time acronyms. Since this information is stored as time-zone insensitive - I was wondering how in LINQ to SQL I could convert this into a UTC DateTime for comparison against other times that will be in UTC. Just to be clear this conversion has to be done server-side so that I can execute filtering on the SQL Server and not the client. I am using .NET 3.5 SP1 and SQL Server 2008.

  • Steam not displaying text on wine 1.5 running on Ubuntu 12.04

    Hello fellow dwellers of askubuntu, as the title says I'm having difficulties with getting Steam to run properly. I think I have the solution but I am pretty incompetent with Ubuntu (just started using it the other day) so a step by step process would be unbelievably appreciated! The dwrite seems to be the issue in all this but I can't for the life of me figure out how to do anything about it. Any useful input is what I'm hoping for but for the brave soul who feels like typing a bit more, perhaps a step-by-step list of instructions starting from downloading Steam off the official website, would be my saving grace. If there is any more info you guys need let me know and I'll of course be happy to oblige!

  • Lotus view column compare to string/integer

    I have a lotus view that stores a number. I need to perform some math against the value, but I am having a lot of problems getting the types to match up. doc.numOfGold = numGold and CInt(doc.numOfGold) = numGold and CInt(doc.numOfGold) = CInt(numGold) and doc.numOfGold = CInt(numGold) all return type mismatch. I've tried changing the column properties to treat it as a decimal, with no better luck. Any thoughts? Thanks!

  • Text Link is Hiding my Image Link

    I have a image where text/link is overlayed on top. My problem is that sometimes the text in the foreground will hide the link in the image in the background. I assume this is because the text box forms an invisible rectangle around the text, thus creating a region that appears it should belong to the image but is actually being covered by the text. I am wondering if it is possible that when I mouse over this region, I will be linking to my image link as oppose to my text link (see illustration). http://jsfiddle.net/WHpMr/

    I'm writing a loganalysis application and wanted to grab apache log records between two certain dates. Assume that a date is formated as such: 22/Dec/2009:00:19 (day/month/year:hour:minute) Currently, I'm using a regular expression to replace the month name with its numeric value, remove the separators, so the above date is converted to: 221220090019 making a date comparison trivial.. but.. Running a regex on each record for large files, say, one containing a quarter million records, is extremely costly.. is there any other method not involving regex substitution?     I have an enumeration that I want to use in pattern matches in an actor. I'm not getting what i'd expect and, now, I'm suspecting I'm missing something simple. My enumeration, object Ops extends Enumeration { val Create = Value("create") val Delete = Value("delete") } Then, I create an Ops from a String: val op = Ops.valueOf("create") Inside my match, I have: case (Ops.Create, ...) But Ops.Create doesn't seem to equal ops.valueOf("create") The former is just an atom 'create' and the later is Some(create) Hopefully, this is enough info for someone to tell me what I'm missing...     Most of the time, I prefer to write this : if(isWelcome() == true){} if(isWelcome() == false){} instead of this if(isWelcome()){} if(!isWelcome()){} Because I feel that it is easier to read (but I do understand that it doesn't make sense). I would like to know if there is a common agreement about this practice. What most developer do? And I'm wondering if the compiler is doing the extra comparaison, or if it understand that it is useless.

    When a browser displays the HTML sent from a web server it parses the received markup into a Document Object Model, or DOM, which models the markup as a hierarchical structure.     I have a method for drawing strings in 3D that does the following: Set a render target Draw each character as a quadrangle using a orthographic projection to the render target Unset the render target Draw the render target texture using a perspective projection and a world transform My problem is how to deal with strings whose characters length exceeds that of the render target dimensions? For example if I have string "This is a reallllllllllly long string" and the render target can't accommodate it, it will only capture "This is a realllll". The render target (and its size) could be set each frame but wouldn't that be far too costly?

I wish to implement a plugin which, if enabled by the user, to read content on my website. Presumably my best option is a website plugin, however there might be some programming I've not come across which allows the likes of PHP to read content. I'm not entirely sure how this all works.

  • Database Schema Validation - deployable/compilable

    Looking for a tool that will allow building database schema validation that can be compiled into a standalong tool or as a module to be used in another application. The scenario is - a client/server application that is sold to customers, and maintained through service releases. The service releases include database scripts to updated the database with any schema changes etc. However, since this is a database and the customer could either run upgrade scripts incorrectly, or tinker around and mess up something in the DB I would like to have this tool available with each release so we can verify the struture, and possibly some data, is valid. Also to have it available for remote debugging when a customer has a service ticket. Schema compare tools I've researched work great for comparing local databases, but I haven't seen something that can generate something that is deployable with our application. Thanks!
