• Showing HTML comment strings (<!-- -->) in HTML files

  Hello all. I'm building a source code search engine, and I'm returning the results on a HTML page (aspx to be exact, but the view logic is in HTML). When someone searches a string, I also return the whole line of code where this string can be found in a file. However, some lines of code come from HTML/aspx files and these lines contain HTML specific comments (). When I try to print this line on the HTML page, it interprets it as a comment and does not show it on the screen....how should I go about solving this so that it actually shows up? • javascript date and loop check

  Hey all, this is the code i have to check for a day thats equal to the list of days in the comma seperated list: for(var i = 0; i < daysHidden.length; i++){ if (daysHidden[i] == d.getDate()); { alert(daysHidden[i] + '=' + d.getDate()); } } the daysHidden = 1 (its the only thing in the list April 1st is already gone and todays the 2nd so 1 is the only one in the list) and d.getDate() has 1-30 (for april) When i run the code, however, it keeps looping through the if code when it should only loop once (when it finds that 1=1 However, i keep getting the alert box that says: 1=1 1=2 1=3 etc.... 1=30 So i do not know what i am doing incorrect? I already tried putting them as strings: if (daysHidden[i].ToString == d.getDate().ToString); But that doesnt seem to work.... Any help would be great :) David

• Can't get websrvmng to run in Plesk SSH terminal.

  I am following this MediaTemple KB article and stuck at the last step. When I try to run the websrvmng (using the ssh terminal in Plesk) using the code the KB references: /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/websrvmng -v -a I receive a 'File or Directory not found' error. I am a n00b when it comes to this stuff and would really appreciate any advice/suggestions for how to get websrvmng to run. I have searched through tons of articles on it but found nothing more illuminating than the above code. I am sure I'm overlooking something simple (login as root to run? something I need to replace in the code like usr?). It is a MediaTemple DV server running CentOS 5 and as I said using Plesk. I desperately need to get this to work and I am pulling my hair out, so as I said any help would be greatly appreciated.

  I have some ASP code that I've "inherited" from my predecessor (no, it's not an option to update it at this time...It would take an act of not only Congress, but every other foreign country too) and I'm having an issue sending mail on one of the pages. It is an almost identical code snippet from the other page, but this one throws an error when I try to 'Send'. • asp.net ajax, change asp:image imageurl

  I have an update panel within which a sortable grid is present. While sorting, I have to change an image which shows the sort direction. The sort is an ajax operation initiated by a linkbutton for each column. Everything works fine except the image control. I am able to toggle visible property to show and hide it but, not able to change the ImageUrl property. imagesort.ImageUrl = "~/images/asc.jpg"; imagesort.Visible = true; The above code shows the image but the image is always the imageurl given in the markup not what is set in the code. If imageurl is not specified in the markup, no image(broken image) is shown irrespective of the above code.

• RPX API Call auth_info is returning "missing parameter" error

  I cannot get the RPX auth_info API call to work. It keeps returning the error: "Missing parameter: apiKey" I am using the C# RPX Helper Class provided on their Wiki:RPX Helper Class Below is my code in my Page_Load method. The RPX service works by sending a POST to a Url that I specify. My code gets the token from the post data shown below. Then I call the AuthInfo API method. string token = Request.Params["token"]; string apiKey = "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"; //my API key Rpx rpx = new Rpx(apiKey, "http://rpxnow.com"); XmlElement xmlElement = rpx.AuthInfo(token); Everything looks good. The token is populated. Within their code, the "apiKey" value pair is added to the post data written to the Request stream. Has anyone had luck with this? Any ideas why this is not working? Thanks.

• Monodevelop: `Waiting for debugger to connect...`

  I am trying to debug this Mono desktop software in Monodevelop. I imported the SLN file, ran Build all with success, but when I press the Debug button I get this popup that stays waiting forever saying Waiting for debugger to connect...: The output says: User assembly '/home/nico/src/SparkleShare/SparkleShare/bin/SparkleShare.exe' is missing. Debugger will now debug all code, not just user code. Am I doing something wrong? Monodevelop 2.8.6.3 on Ubuntu 2012.04. Nothing special appears on the console with monodevelop -v -v -v. When I press Run instead of Debug, the app crashes immediately saying The application exited with code: 255, but I need Debug to find where the problem is. Note: It is not the same problem as this question, which is about MonoTouch waiting for a phone simulator... the suggestions over there are about the simulator or updating XCode... no simulator nor XCode here.

• Custom UITableViewCell not properly hiding views

  I am using apple's custom table view cell code and modifying the drawRect code within the cell's view to look like I want it to. I've changed it to have some UILabels as well as a UIProgressView. If the data the cell is being built on doesn't have a certain field, I want the UIProgressView to be hidden. This works for a little while, but when a cell gets requeued, the progress view will start displaying again, even when I set it to hidden = YES. I've tried just not creating the ProgressView unless the data was there and that didn't work either. I thought the answer was in the [self setNeedsDisplay] but that doesn't seem to help.   I've made some experimental code that I would like to save in the repository, but I don't want it on the main branch. How would you commit this to a branch? Maybe I got this wrong, but of what I've understood about branching, all you actually do is copying already checked in code to another directory in the repository. I suppose one could copy the main branch to another location, and then change the working copy repository location pointer to point at that location, and then commit the experimental code. But that seems a bit long-winded. Is this really how you do it?

  In C#, I need to write T[] to a stream, ideally without any additional buffers. I have a dynamic code that converts T[] (where T is a no-objects struct) to a void* and fixes it in memory, and that works great. When the stream was a file, I could use native Windows API to pass the void * directly, but now I need to write to a generic Stream object that takes byte[]. Can anyone suggest a hack way to create a dummy array object which does not actually have any heap allocations, but rather points to an already existing (and fixed) heap location. Second application is a windows gui which open it by calling EventWaitHandle.OpenExisting() and try to Set the event. But I am getting an exception in OpenExisting. But from UI i'm not supposed to call the service methods directly. I need to call all service methods from a static class and from code behind file i need to invoke the static method. In this scenario what exactlly do i need to do?

  I understand that in Python a string is simply an expression and a string by itself would be garbage collected immediately upon return of control to a code's caller, but... Large class/method doc strings in your code: do they waste memory by building the string objects up? Module level doc strings: are they stored infinitely by the interpreter? Does this even matter? My only concern came from the idea that if I'm using a large framework like Django, or multiple large open source libraries, they tend to be very well documented with potentially multiple megabytes of text. In these cases are the doc strings loaded into memory for code that's used along the way, and then kept there, or is it collected immediately like normal strings?

  I have a problem with my code in Android. I am using this to moving a ball. If the degree is 90 it should move to the right, if the degree is 180 it should move down etc. This is the code I have done. int degrees=180; int bollspeed=4; bollX += bollspeed*Math.cos(Math.toRadians(degrees)); bollY += bollspeed*Math.sin(Math.toRadians(degrees)); The problem is that when the ball should move 90 degrees it moves 180, and when it should move 180 degrees it moves 270. I have tested all I could come to think... Can anyone see any error in my code or have a expanation I would be really glad. Thanks

  Within a method, I am using i and j as temporary variables while calculating other variables. What is an idiomatic way of getting rid of i and j once they are no longer needed? Another alternative would be to put the code into their own methods, but that may detract from readability.
