• How to set Delphi WebBrowser Base directory different that HTML location

  I have a Delphi program that creates HTML files. Later when a button is pressed a TWebBrowser is created and a WebBrowser.Navigate causes the html page to display. Is there anyway to set the WebBrowser "default directory" so it will always be the location of the Delphi executable not the HTML file? I do not want to set the Base value in the HTML to a hardcoded value because then when the HTML is ran from another Delphi exe they are not found. for example: if the exe is run from D:\data\delphi\pgm.exe then the base location D:\data\delphi\ and the jpgs are at D:\data\delphi\jpgs\ but if the exe is run from: C:\stuff\pgm.exe i want the base location to be C:\stuff\ and the jpgs to be at C:\stuff\jpgs\ So I cannot write a line in the HTML with the base location since when it is ran from another exe it would point to wrong location for that exe. So I either need to set the base location when I create the webbrowser and before I read the HTML or I need a way to pass into the webbrowser the location where I can then set the base location. Sorry for being so long-winded but I could not figure out how to saw what I needed.

  I've defined a view with the cck and view2 modules. I would like to quickly define a template specific to this view. Any tutorial or information on this ? What are the files I need to modify ? Here are my findings: (Edited) In fact there are two ways to theme a view : the "field" way and the "node" way. In "edit View", you can choose "Row style: Node", or "Row style: Fields". with the "Node" way, you can create a node-contentname.tpl.php wich will be called for each node in the view. You'll have access to your cck field values with $field_name[0]['value']. (edit2) You can use node-view-viewname.tpl.php wich will be only called for each node displayed from this view. with the "Field" way, you add a views-view-field--viewname--field-name-value.tpl.php for each field you want to theme individually. Thanks to previous responses, I've used the following tools : In the 'Basic Settings' block, the 'Theme: Information' to see all the different templates you can modify. The Devel module's "Theme developer" to quickly find the field variable names. View 2 documentation, especially the "Using Theme" page.

  I have two entities: A and B A has two properties from and to, both pointing to the B entity. B as a fetched property to A with predicate from == $FETCH_SOURCE or to = $FETCH_SOURCE -- (from) -> A -- (to) -> B <- (As) -- In my application I select a certain B instance, and then show all of its A instances. Now, in my table the columns are bound to an array controller containing the selected A instances. I want to 'merge' the from and to columns. I already know one of the columns will be equal to the selected B instance, so now I'm only interested in the second value. The options I see: create a custom class for the B entity and create a method that returns either value. It should somehow be able to retrieve which B instance is currently selected. create a custom DataSource. Most columns are still using bindings, so then we'd have to access the NSArrayController's array so we're sure we have the right object. create a custom DataSource, remove the NSArrayController and do all the Core Data stuff ourselves. Is there any 'right' way to solve this?

• Improving the performance of XSL

  I am using the below XSL 2.0 code to find the ids of the text nodes that contains the list of indices that i give as input. the code works perfectly but in terms for performance it is taking a long time for huge files. Even for huge files if the index values are small then the result is quick in few ms. I am using saxon9he Java processor to execute the XSL. <xsl:variable name="insert-data" as="element(data)*"> <xsl:for-each-group select="doc($insert-file)/insert-data/data" group-by="xsd:integer(@index)"> <xsl:sort select="current-grouping-key()"/> <data index="{current-grouping-key()}" text-id="{generate-id( $main-root/descendant::text()[ sum((preceding::text(), .)/string-length(.)) ge current-grouping-key() ][1] )}"> <xsl:copy-of select="current-group()/node()"/> </data> </xsl:for-each-group> </xsl:variable> In the above solution if the index value is too huge say 270962 then the time taken for the XSL to execute is 83427ms. In huge files if the index value is huge say 4605415, 4605431 it takes several minutes to execute. Seems the computation of the variable "insert-data" takes time though it is a global variable and computed only once. Should the XSL be addessed or the processor? How can i improve the performance of the XSL.

• Fill in word form field with more than 255 characters

  I am trying to programmaticly fill in a microsoft word form. I am successfully able to do so if the string is under 255 chars with the following code below, however it says the string is too long if i try and use a string over 255 chars... How do I get past this limitation? If I open the word doc in word I can type in more than 255 chars without a problem. • Zend_Date and Zend Locale; can't get it to work ><

  Loving Zend Framework, hating Zend_Date... I'm buidling an app where one of the functions is to track the time one spends on a certain task. This works great. My previous question was my incapability to get the sum of all the timestamps (time spent on each task). Well that works as a charm, but when I echo this value, it adds one hour. Using gmdate() (just for checking) and the value turns out exactly as it's supposed to. I thought to solve this problem easeliy with Zend_Local, but I can't get the damn thing to work! This is my bootstrap code: protected function _initLocale() { $locale = new Zend_Locale('nl_NL'); $locale->setLocale($locale); Zend_Registry::set('Zend_Locale', $locale); } This is the code in my view file: $date = new Zend_Date($this->timequery, null, $locale); echo $date->toString(Zend_Date::HOUR.':'.Zend_Date::MINUTE.':'.Zend_Date::SECOND); The timestamp I'm processing is: 2632 which equals 00:43:52. The output I get is: 01:43:52 I know the extra hour comes from the time difference, but I can seem to solve this with Zend_Local and Zend_Date.

  I am creating a product configurator with Jquery. My users can add custom text lines to their product. So you could create say... 4 text lines with custom text. I need to know what the best way to add and delete these lines would be. So when they click "Add Text Line" it finds out how many list elements are in the unordered list, adds a value of 1 to that and places a new list element with the id TextItem1 or TextItem2 or whatever number we're on. The problem i'm running into is that when you click delete item, it screws everything up because when you add an item again all the numbers aren't correct. I thought about writing some kind of logic that says all the numbers above the one you want deleted get 1 subtracted from their value and all the numbers below stay the same. But I think i'm just going about this the wrong way. Any suggestions on the easiest way to add and delete these text lines is appreciated.

• Ajaxcontrol toolkit ConfirmButtonExtender with radiobuttonlist control

  I have a Yes/No Radiobutton List, When the asp.net page is loaded, if there are items in the gridview this radio is defaulted to Yes. Now if the user clicks no, I have to delete all the items for the gridview and persist them in db. But I want to show a confimation whether the user wants to go ahead doing this operation. If user clciks Yes then go ahead and delete the rows in gridview if no then keep the original radio setting to Yes. I have been struggling to get this to work as the ConfirmButtonExtender which opens up a modalpopup extender even before I know what has been clicked on the radio. If the radio is preselected with Yes, then if I clcik no, the Modal extender is shown and in the Page PreRender event handler the value of the radio is still Yes and not No as extender is run on click using ajax and it doesnt know the correct value of the radio.Even if I use onClick client side javascript to find out which option has been chosen the difficulty is then executing the server side delete command to the db. Has anyone enconuntered this problem before? Any solutions would be appreciated.

  As i understand, if we declare a variable as volatile, then it will not be stored in the local cache. Whenever thread are updating the values, it is updated to the main memory. So, other threads can access the updated value. But in the following program both volatile and non-volatile variables are displaying same value. The volatile variable is not updated for the second thread. • Trying to convert existing production database table columns from enum to VARCHAR (Rails)

  Hi everyone, I have a problem that needs me to convert my existing live production (I've duplicated the schema on my local development box, don't worry :)) table column types from enums to a string. Background: Basically, a previous developer left my codebase in absolute shit, migration versions are extremely out of date, and apparently he never used it after a certain point of time in development and now that I'm tasked with migrating a rails 1.2.6 app to 2.3.5, I can't get the tests to run properly on 2.3.5 because my table columns have ENUM column types and they convert to :string, :limit = 0 on my schema.rb which creates the problem of an invalid default value when doing a rake db:test:prepare, like in the case of: Mysql::Error: Invalid default value for 'own_vehicle': CREATE TABLE `lifestyles` (`id` int(11) DEFAULT NULL auto_increment PRIMARY KEY, `member_id` int(11) DEFAULT 0 NOT NULL, `own_vehicle` varchar(0) DEFAULT 'Y' NOT NULL, `hobbies` text, `sports` text, `AStar_activities` text, `how_know_IRC` varchar(100), `IRC_referral` varchar(200), `IRC_others` varchar(100), `IRC_rdrive` varchar(30)) ENGINE=InnoDB I'm thinking of writing a migration task that looks through all the database tables for columns with enum and replace it with VARCHAR and I'm wondering if this is the right way to approach this problem. I'm also not very sure how to write it such that it would loop through my database tables and replace all ENUM colum_types with a VARCHAR. • How do I get a ComboBox SelectionChanged event to fire from a nested ListBoxItem?

  This is a rather complex problem that has me really confused right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The Setup: ListBox of Type A UserControls -ListBoxItem of Type A UserControl --ListBox of Type B UserControls ---ListBoxItem of Type B UserControl ----ListBox of Type C UserControls -----ListBoxItem of Type C UserControl (contains the ComboBox) In other words, the Type A control has a ListBox of Type B controls that has a ListBox of Type C controls. All of the controls are hierarchical in nature. Type A contains the data that's needed to load the Type B controls and the Type B contains the data that's needed to load the Type C controls. The Type C control has a standard ComboBox in it for changing the values of the present items. In addition to the above structure, I have drag and dropping tied to the PreviewMouseLeftButtonDown event on both the Type A and Type B UserControl levels to handle reordering/deleting/etc commands in the GUI. All of this is working as intended. The Problem: When I attempt to change the value in the ComboBox, the SelectionChanged event never fires on the Type C "level" unless I'm careful enough to click on the borders/spacing in between any Type A or B controls. This happens when my ComboBox popout menu overlaps on either a Type A or B control located below itself. The selection events for Type A or B are firing instead of the Type C events, so the ComboBox is never changing its value reliably. In the debugger, the code for handling the drag and drop is triggering on the next ListBoxItem that's located underneath the ComboBox. Thoughts: Is there a way I can make my ComboBox popup take prevalence over the items behind it while double-nested in a ListBox (ie, ignore anything behind it while it's open)? Is there some way to reroute the incorrectly firing SelectionChanged events down to the ComboBox that's supposed to be triggering them?

  I am trying to integrate Hibernate 3 with Spring 3.1.0. The problem is that application is not able to find mapping file which declared in hibernate.cfg.xml file. Initially hibernate configuration has datasource configuration, hibernate properties and mapping hbm.xml files. • Pass a range into a custom function from within a cell

  Hi I'm using VBA in Excel and need to pass in the values from two ranges into a custom function from within a cell's formula. The function looks like this: Public Function multByElement(range1 As String, range2 As String) As Variant Dim arr1() As Variant, arr2() As Variant arr1 = Range(range1).value arr2 = Range(range2).value If UBound(arr1) = UBound(arr2) Then Dim arrayA() As Variant ReDim arrayA(LBound(arr1) To UBound(arr1)) For i = LBound(arr1) To UBound(arr1) arrayA(i) = arr1(i) * arr2(i) Next i multByElement = arrayA End If End Function As you can see, I'm trying to pass the string representation of the ranges. In the debugger I can see that they are properly passed in and the first visible problem occurs when it tries to read arr1(i) and shows as "subscript out of range". I have also tried passing in the range itself (ie range1 as Range...) but with no success. My best suspicion was that it has to do with the Active Sheet since it was called from a different sheet from the one with the formula (the sheet name is part of the string) but that was dispelled since I tried it both from within the same sheet and by specifying the sheet in the code. BTW, the formula in the cell looks like this: =AVERAGE(multByElement("A1:A3","B1:B3")) or =AVERAGE(multByElement("My Sheet1!A1:A3","My Sheet1!B1:B3")) for when I call it from a different sheet.

My dataset contains: <order_line order_line_id="1" quantity="2" discount_price="0.3"/> Which maps to an OrderLine Java object where the discount_price column is defined as: @Column(name = "discount_price", precision = 12, scale = 2) private BigDecimal discountPrice; However, when I run my test case and assert that the discount price returned equals 0.3, the assertion fails and says that the stored value is 0. If I change the discount_price in the dataset to be 0.9, it rounds up to 1. I've checked to make sure HSQLDB isn't doing the rounding and it definitely isn't because I can insert an order line object using Java code with a value like 5.3 and it works fine. To me, it seems like DBUtils is for some reason rounding the number I've defined. Is there a way I can force this to not happen? Can anyone explain why it might be doing this? Thanks!

• SWT - Table Row - Changing font color

  Is it possible to change the font color for a row based on a value in one of the columns? My table has a column that displays a status. The value of the column is going to either be Failed or Success. If it is Success I would like for that rows font be green. If the status equals Failed, I want that rows font be red. Is this possible, if so where would I put the logic. • Spring MVC 3 - How come @ResponseBody method renders a JSTLView?

  I have mapped one of my method in one Controller to return JSON object by @ResponseBody. @RequestMapping("/{module}/get/{docId}") public @ResponseBody Map<String, ? extends Object> get(@PathVariable String module, @PathVariable String docId) { Criteria criteria = new Criteria("_id", docId); return genericDAO.getUniqueEntity(module, true, criteria); } However, it redirects me to the JSTLView instead. Say, if the {module} is product and {docId} is 2, then in the console I found: DispatcherServlet with name 'xxx' processing POST request for [/xxx/product/get/2] Rendering view [org.springframework.web.servlet.view.JstlView: name 'product/get/2'; URL [/WEB-INF/views/jsp/product/get/2.jsp]] in DispatcherServlet with name 'xxx' How can that be happened? In the same Controller, I have another method similar to this but it's running fine: @RequestMapping("/{module}/list") public @ResponseBody Map<String, ? extends Object> list(@PathVariable String module, @RequestParam MultiValueMap<String, String> params, @RequestParam(value = "page", required = false) Integer pageNumber, @RequestParam(value = "rows", required = false) Integer recordPerPage) { ... return genericDAO.list(module, criterias, orders, pageNumber, recordPerPage); } Above do returns correctly providing me a list of objects I required. • Acceessing some aggregate functions in a linq datasource in a GridView

  I am working on a traditional WebForms project. In the project I am trying out some Linq datasources with plans to eventually migrate to an MVC architecture. I am still very new to Linq. I have a GridView using a Linq datasource. The entities I am showing has a to many relationship and I would like to get the maximum value of a column in the many side of the relationship. I can show properties of the base entity in the gridview: <asp:TemplateField HeaderText="Number" SortExpression="tJobBase.tJob.JobNumber"> <ItemTemplate> <asp:Label ID="Label1" runat="server" Text='<%# Bind("tJobBase.tJob.JobNumber") %>'> </asp:Label> </ItemTemplate> </asp:TemplateField> I can also show the count of the many related property: <asp:TemplateField HeaderText="Number" SortExpression="tJobBase.tJob.tHourlies.Count"> <ItemTemplate> <asp:Label ID="Label1" runat="server" Text='<%# Bind("tJobBase.tJob.tHourlies.Count") %>'> </asp:Label> </ItemTemplate> </asp:TemplateField> Is there a way to get the max value of a column called WeekEnding in the tHourlies collection to show in the GridView?
