  • Jquery's a FREE grid display

    I have been using Flesigrid for my CMS and I like it except there are some things I think it could do better like get the column headers from the ajax results rather then in the setup of the flexigrid or having the ability to change the buttons on reload things of that nature. I've been considering a mod of the plugin though I'm not sure i really want to do that. But the question is ... is there something that might be better that I somehow missed when I was looking for grid display ?

  • Livevalidation clientside validation - can you control the position of the validation messages?

    I'm using LiveValidaion for my clientside validation http://livevalidation.com/ and DataAnnotations for my validation rules. This all works fine except that the clientside error messages are only ever displayed to the right of the element being validated. Is it possible to move this validation message below the element being validated? Or even better, group all messages in a div at the top/bottom of the page? I dont see anything in their docs or examples

    Hi, I have a txt file with columns separated by tabs and based on that file, I want to create a new file that only contains information from some of the columns. This is what I have now awk '{ print $1, $5 }' filename newfilename That works except that when column 5 contains spaces e.g 123 Street, only 123 shows up and the street is considered as another column.     Hi, I am using - (BOOL)shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)interfaceOrientation{ return YES; } to allow rotation, which works fine - except that the landscape view jumps backwards up the page that is being displayed. I can't figure out what I should be looking at to fix it. I just want the page to rotate where it is. Any pointers would be great. Am a noob, as is probably clear. Thanks Jonathan

  • Ubuntu crashed, Eclipse lost .metadata, Java Perspective gone, missing, lost

    I am running Eclipse Galileo on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. Ubuntu crashed on me today, and after rebooting, I found that Eclipse has completely lost the Java Perspective (it's like the perspective and all associated views never existed) and the .metadata dir in my workspace is empty except for version.ini. What's up with that? Why did it happen? How can I prevent it? How can I recover from it?

    Hello, I am a seasoned Delphi developer and would like to create something like seamless terminal services where an application is executed on a server but appears on the the desktop of the client. To someone working on the server i don't want them to see the remote application running (except if they looked in at the list of running processes). Im lost as to how to go about this, where to start, how to get an application to render to a surface other than the servers desktop. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

    Where I work, we use Bugzilla extensively for bug and feature tracking. We take advantage of the built in milestones to help us manage our timelines better, but sometimes priorities shift and milestones need to be rearranged. During this time we use the "change several bugs at once" feature to move them around, but the result is a ton of bugspam for everyone involved (except the person actually doing the changing, of course). Is there any way to easily turn off emails if many bugs are being changed at once?

A rough sketch of my code: trans = self.conn.begin() try: assert not self.conn.execute(my_obj.__table__.select(my_obj.id == id)).first() self.conn.execute(my_obj.__table__.insert().values(id=id)) assert not self.conn.execute(my_obj.__table__.select(my_obj.id == id)).first() except: trans.rollback() raise I don't commit, and the second assert always fails! In other words, it seems the data is getting inserted into the database even though the code is within a transaction! Is this assessment accurate?
