  • Which library should I use for server-side image manipulation on Node.JS?

    I found a quite large list of available libraries on Node.JS wiki but I'm not sure which of those are more mature and provide better performance. Basically I want to do the following: load some images to a server from external sources put them onto one big canvas crop and mask them a bit apply a filter or two Resize the final image and give a link to it Big plus if the node package works on both Linux and Windows.

But surely there is a standard library function that implements mode for a vector (or list).

  • Deny access to run certain installed software for users

    I have a list of installed software, obtained from WMI class select * from Win32_Product. I'd like to deny execution rights for some users on certain software like so: find the path to installed software recursively remove execution rights I find the path to installed software from Win32_Product InstallLocation column. But the PROBLEM is that not all rows in Win32_Product have a value for InstallLocation. What can I do to overcome this? Is there somewhere in registry where I can find this path?

    I have an sql statement that currently is just returning all the end parent rows for a list of child rows: SELECT DISTINCT row FROM table heirarchy WHERE parent_row = NULL CONNECT BY nocycle PRIOR parent_row = row START WITH row IN (select statement returning child rows) Is there a way to show the child and its corresponding parent together in the same result set using a modified version of my sql?   • Python: (sampling with replacement): efficient algorithm to extract the set of DISSIMILAR N-tuples from a set

    I have a set of items, from which I want to select DISSIMILAR tuples (more on the definition of dissimilar touples later). The set could contain potentially several thousand items, although typically, it would contain only a few hundreds. I am trying to write a generic algorithm that will allow me to select N items to form an N-tuple, from the original set. The new set of selected N-tuples should be DISSIMILAR. A N-tuple A is said to be DISSIMILAR to another N-tuple B if and only if: Every pair (2-tuple) that occurs in A DOES NOT appear in B Note: For this algorithm, A 2-tuple (pair) is considered SIMILAR/IDENTICAL if it contains the same elements, i.e. (x,y) is considered the same as (y,x). This is a (possible variation on the) classic Urn Problem. A trivial (pseudocode) implementation of this algorithm would be something along the lines of def fetch_unique_tuples(original_set, tuple_size): while True: # randomly select [tuple_size] items from the set to create first set # create a key or hash from the N elements and store in a set # store selected N-tuple in a container if end_condition_met: break I don't think this is the most efficient way of doing this - and though I am no algorithm theorist, I suspect that the time for this algorithm to run is NOT O(n) - in fact, its probably more likely to be O(n!). I am wondering if there is a more efficient way of implementing such an algo, and preferably, reducing the time to O(n). Actually, as Mark Byers pointed out there is a second variable m, which is the size of the number of elements being selected. This (i.e. m) will typically be between 2 and 5.     I am getting lot of errors for HttpRequestValidationException in my event log. Is it possible to HTMLEncode all the inputs from override of ProcessRequest on web page. So if I type images/s [Alt+tab] it should present a list of all files located in images starting with s. Like the auto-complete for types but using filenames.   • XMLEncoder in java for serialization

    Im just wondering how i use xmlencoder to serialize ArrayList where foo is my own made class. Do i have to do anything in particular, ie define my own xml structure first and then call toString on each value in my list and write it out?   • Why does my Sharepoint page's custom content type change to "Page" when editing?

    I have a custom Sharepoint 2007 site definition with custom content types for the different page layouts. When editing a page using a custom layout from the main "View all contents" tree view, the page content type is fine, but if I view the page directly and edit it from there, the content type gets stripped and replaced with "Page." I can change it back by viewing and editing it from the main list, but not from its subsite home location.

  • Watir question regarding select_list and reloading

    I have a drop down with multiple options. Whenever you choose an option, the page reloads with data specific with that option. Currently I'm using select.list(:name, strg).set(value) and it does that part just fine, but it does not reload the page with the specific data. Anyone know how to help. When i watch it in action, it doesn't select the option either, but my logs show that it does.Thanks.
