  Hi. The current ocx controls I'm using for voice recording and playback are not compatible with Windows 7. I'm already feeling the pressure to produce a Windows 7 compatible version of my software. The author has already stated that he is not planning to write a Windows 7 compatible ocx. I work from xharbour so I need to consume an OCX or write the whole thing (which I'd like to avoid and don't even know where to start). My basic needs are (1) to record dictation from the microphone with methods to pause and vox preferably, (2) save to file, (3) and later playback with methods to ff and rew. Thank you, Reinaldo.

Currently, this is how my table looks: id | userID | field_1 | field_2 | field_3 | field_4 | etc... ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 0 | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 1 | Each field represents one Sub Heading. Having this many columns in my table looks awfully inefficient... How can I go about optimizing this? I can't think of any way to neaten it up :/

• Need help parsing file/writing script

  Hey all, I have been doing nothing but web development over the last few years and haven't written any Java or C++ in what feels like forever. I don't necessarily need to use these languages, so I'm entirely open to suggestion. I was given an email list by a client to import into their mailchimp account yesterday and unfortunately, Mailchimp couldn't read the file. It's a text file, but I don't believe it's tab delimited (which would make this much, much easier for me). A small portion of the file (I've changed last names and email addresses) can be viewed here: http://sparktoignite.com/patients.txt If anyone has suggestions on how I can get this into a Mailchimp readable format (csv, tab delimited txt, excel) please let me know. I feel like 3 years ago I would've been able to do this in a matter of minutes, but given that I haven't touched anything other than RoR, PHP, and jQuery for the last few years, I don't know where to start. • Why does null need to be casted?

  The following code does not compile: //int a = ... int? b = (int?) (a != 0 ? a : null); In order to compile, it needs to be changed to int? b = (a != 0 ? a : (int?) null); Since both b = null and b = a are legal, this doesn't make sense to me. Why does null need to be casted, and why can't we simply cast the whole expression (which I know is legal in other cases)?

• Need PHP Email Script Solution

  Designing forms has always been fun, but getting them to send email on the server side is another story. I have used various email scripts (dynaform,phpmailer, etc), and have experienced a ton of problems. So here is the site I am working on: Contact On the Right. It is very basic: no validation, no required fields. I simply need anything that is entered to be sent back to me. • What ports does Advantage Database Server need?

  I have an application which uses ADS and I am attempting to deploy it in a Windows network environment with a rather restrictive firewall. I am having a problem configuring firewall ports appropriately. ADS lives on \server, and it's listening on port 1234. When \client tries to connect to \server\tables, I get Error 6420 (Discovery process failed). When \client tries to connect to \server:1234\tables, I get error 6097, bad IP address specified in the connection path. \server is pingable from \client, and I can telnet to \server:1234. If I try to connect from a client machine inside the firewall, either connection path works fine. It seems there must be something else I need to open in the firewall. Any ideas? Thanks, Aaron.

  I'm attempting to provide a confirmation link in my user welcome email and I'm getting the following Rails error: Need controller and action! It makes a fuss about this line: <p>Please take a moment to activate your account by going to: <%= link_to confirm_user_url(:id => @user.confirmation_code) %>.</p> In my development.rb environment, I have the following line: config.action_mailer.default_url_options = { :host => "localhost", :port => 3000 } There's no problem with the @user variable. I've tested the email with things like @user.username and @user.confirmation_code. I'm only getting trouble with url_for and named routes like confirm_user_url. When I check my routes with rake routes, confirm_user shows up, so it's not an issue with the named route not existing. I can't seem to figure it out. What gives?

I was wondering how I could check multiple groups to see if the user belongs to either, if they belong to either. I don't know if user_ingroup($username,$group,$recursive=NULL); can handle search two different groups for the user, need help coding it to search for the user in two different groups, and as soon as it finds it in one of those, break the operation and set a variable to true. Any help is appreciated.

  I have a multiple select, and I need to force the user to choose maximum two options, nothing more. While if I do this: $(element).each(function(i, selected){ foo[i] = $(selected).text(); alert(foo[i]); }); It works but I get all the options in the select. Why is that? Is this the correct road to walk? Are there better ways to do this kind of check? Thank you very much!

  I have 3 tables(Roles,Actions and RoleActionLinks). Roles table has few columns(RoleID,RoleName,Desc). Actions table has few colums(ActionID,ActionName,Desc). In RoleActionLink is created for store the association between Roles and Actions and this table has the columns such as RoleID,ActionID When I created the data model(edmx). it shows only Role and Action as entity. i did not find RoleActionLink table. but even there is no direct relation between Roles and Actions table, both tables are automatically related using RoleActionLink table. When i create the new Action, a action record should be populated in Action table(this is works fine). At the same time, i need to populate record in RoleActionLinks table. But i dont have the entity to populate. Please tell me how to accomplish my needs.

So basically we have class Color and many functions to implement from it. this function I need is: Effects: corrects a color value to be within 0-255 inclusive. If value is outside this range, adjusts to either 0 or 255, whichever is closer.   Hello, I am trying to find a way to calculate a duration in days between my, time zone (Central), and (Pacific; Mountain; Eastern). Just do not know where to start. My criteria would be as follows: Cell C5:C100 would be the timestamps in this format:3/18/2010 23:45 but for different dates and times. Cell D5:D100 would be the corresponding timezone in text form: Pacific; Mountain; Eastern; Central. Cell F5 would be where the duration in days would need to be.   Hello, I am looking for some help autosaving tinyMCE. I want to save the content within tiny into its respective textarea after content has been updated. So that when I make an ajax call the content is in the textarea ready to be posted. Currently I have this little bit of code but it only updates the text area when you press a button in tiny (like bold, italics, underline, etc). I also have the link where I found the code.
