Is there a way to create a working copy with all child folders but without files in it?
My repository is very big, I only need the empty directory structure to be created.
Hi, I'm using a jquery file tree and I'd like to allow users to upload files to whatever directory they're currently in. I am having an issue binding the form within the tree, though, since the tree is loading dynamically and obviously can't bind a form that doesn't exist. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
I get this message at runtime of ASP.NET 2 page :
The page 'MyFolder/blabla.aspx' cannot use the user control 'MyFolder/MyControl.ascx', because it is registered in web.config and lives in the same directory as the page.
Of course I can separate them to 2 different folders and thus solve the problem, but the question is :
WTF !?!?! Why I can't put them in the same folder ?!
Why can't they all .. get along !?! :)
Thanks
If I have 3 million pages, which directory structure is better?
Method 1. ~/123456789.htm
(Putting all the 3 million pages into
the same folder without any sub
folders)
Method 2. ~/789/123456789.htm
(Create 999 sub-folders, each
sub-folder contains about 3000 pages)
For Windows Server 2008, which folder structure is faster? (For file creation, reading and deletion)
I am trying to download a list of files from a ftp server using:
NSURL *ftpUrl = [NSURL URLWithString:@"ftp://xxx:[email protected]"];
I HAVE to use FTP, so please do not recommend an alternative. I want to know how to get the list of files from the root directory and also navigate inside folders (of FTP server).
P.S: I do not think external library would be required to accomplish such an easy task, but if I must, any recommendations would be appreciated.
Thank You :)
Hi,
I could not access the CVS repositories which has the link as :

I would like to access it from remote computer. What can be the suitable command to access it?
If I have a file that contains a complete path for a file, is there a way to highlight the filename (using visual mode) and open the file? (preferably in a split screen)
As I think about it, here is what I would like: if the file name contains a / character, assume it is a full path (IE the 'current directory' is root). Otherwise, use the current folder (IE default behavior) Is this possible?
This questions concerns mostly Unix/Linux style C++ development. I see that many C++ libraries store their header files in a "include" folder and source files in an "src" folder. For the sake of conformance I adopted this in my own code. But it is not clear to me whether this should be done for application code as well. I've seen a few cases where a flat directory structure is used for that. What would be the recommended approach?
I have a shell script to run node with some arguments like so:
#!/usr/bin/env node --harmony_proxies
...
This works fine under OS X but in Ubuntu it errors with:
/usr/bin/env: node --harmony_proxies: No such file or directory
Node is definitely installed and on the PATH since if I remove the --harmony_proxies flag it works fine. Is there some different way of passing arguments when using env in Ubuntu?
I'm trying to redirect one domain to the root and another to a directory. The problem I'm having is the second domain is overwriting the firsts redirection.
Here is what I have.
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^http://example.site.net$ [NC]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/.*$
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ / [L]
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^http://example2.com [NC]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^http://www.example2.com [NC]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^$
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/example2_directory/
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /example2_directory/$1

In IIS 5 & 6 there's a tab called "Directory Security" where one can define the authentication access and check the "Integrated windows authentication" checkbox.
I can't find the same options in IIS Manager in Windows 7.
Is there a way to create a working copy with all child folders but with out files in it.

I have created an Asp.net website using VS 2008 and SQL Express 2008 on one PC. with db files in |Data Directory|.
When i copied these website files to another PC ( having same VS 2008 and SQL Express 2008) its giving me error
user instance login flag is not supported on this version of sql server
Open App.Path & "\Folder\" & str(0) For Output
Seems to get a path not found however if directly before that I do
MsgBox App.Path & "\Folder\" & str(0)
It Provides the correct directory/filename that I want
and if I replace that string with the direct path in quotes it works fine however that won't be very good for other users of my app :( Anyone know why this doesn't work?
Thanks in advance for sending answer to me........

I have a directory of functions and aliases I'd like to include for both bash and zsh terminal invocations (So I don't need to put every function and alias into every separate script and to facilitate organization/tidying of .rc files)
What I've tried so far hasn't worked. Just setting this out for further suggestions.
Hi, I'm just wondering how I can retrieve a specific value (only 1 thing will be returned) from a database using php.
My query is
mysql_query("SELECT balance FROM users WHERE username = '". $this->username . "'")
I'm just looking for it to retrieve the data from that row so I can save it directory into a variable.
I want to create a url like www.facebook.com/username just like Facebook does it. Can we use mod_rewrite to do it. Username is name of the user in a table. It is not a sub directory. Please advise.
I can't seem to find the right version of setup.h that gets used when building with ../configure, make. What directory is it? There seems to be tons of variations but I change them and the changes aren't used. Help.
For only one of my gems, compass, is it showing up in the /vendor subdirectory.
1) Where is it?
2) how do I have it show up in the directory?
Part of the reason is that I need to take a closer look at the gem to see what it is doing because the documentation isn't complete.
