  • Java, Massive message processing with queue manager (trading)

    - by Ronny
    Hello, I would like to design a simple application (without j2ee and jms) that can process massive amount of messages (like in trading systems) I have created a service that can receive messages and place them in a queue to so that the system won't stuck when overloaded. Then I created a service (QueueService) that wraps the queue and has a pop method that pops out a message from the queue and if there is no messages returns null, this method is marked as "synchronized" for the next step. I have created a class that knows how process the message (MessageHandler) and another class that can "listen" for messages in a new thread (MessageListener). The thread has a "while(true)" and all the time tries to pop a message. If a message was returned, the thread calls the MessageHandler class and when it's done, he will ask for another message. Now, I have configured the application to open 10 MessageListener to allow multi message processing. I have now 10 threads that all time are in a loop. Is that a good design?? Can anyone reference me to some books or sites how to handle such scenario?? Thanks, Ronny

  • Can somebody explain this remark in the MSDN CreateMutex() documentation about the bInitialOwner fla

    - by Tom Williams
    The MSDN CreatMutex() documentation (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms682411%28VS.85%29.aspx) contains the following remark near the end: Two or more processes can call CreateMutex to create the same named mutex. The first process actually creates the mutex, and subsequent processes with sufficient access rights simply open a handle to the existing mutex. This enables multiple processes to get handles of the same mutex, while relieving the user of the responsibility of ensuring that the creating process is started first. When using this technique, you should set the bInitialOwner flag to FALSE; otherwise, it can be difficult to be certain which process has initial ownership. Can somebody explain the problem with using bInitialOwner = TRUE? Earlier in the same documentation it suggests a call to GetLastError() will allow you to determine whether a call to CreateMutext() created the mutex or just returned a new handle to an existing mutex: Return Value If the function succeeds, the return value is a handle to the newly created mutex object. If the function fails, the return value is NULL. To get extended error information, call GetLastError. If the mutex is a named mutex and the object existed before this function call, the return value is a handle to the existing object, GetLastError returns ERROR_ALREADY_EXISTS, bInitialOwner is ignored, and the calling thread is not granted ownership. However, if the caller has limited access rights, the function will fail with ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED and the caller should use the OpenMutex function.

  • Passing session between jsf backing bean and model

    - by Rachel
    Background : I am having backing bean which has upload method that listen when file is uploaded. Now I pass this file to parser and in parser am doing validation check for row present in csv file. If validation fails, I have to log information and saving in logging table in database. My end goal : Is to get session information in logging bean so that I can get initialContext and make call to ejb to save data to database. What is happening : In my upload backing bean, am getting session but when i call parser, I do not pass session information as I do not want parser to be dependent on session as I want to unit test parser individually. So in my parser, I do not have session information, from parser am making call to logging bean(just a bean with some ejb methods) but in this logging bean, i need session because i need to get initial context. Question Is there a way in JSF, that I can get the session in my logging bean that I have in my upload backing bean? I tried doing: FacesContext ctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance(); HttpSession session = (HttpSession) ctx.getExternalContext().getSession(false); but session value was null, more generic question would be : How can I get session information in model bean or other beans that are referenced from backing beans in which we have session? Do we have generic method in jsf using which we can access session information throughout JSF Application?

  • Django: returning a selection of fields from a model based on their values?

    - by AP257
    I am working with some data over which I have little control. I'd like to return ONLY the fields of my model that aren't certain 'uninteresting' values (e.g. '0', 'X' or '-'), and access them individually in the template. My model is like this: class Manors(models.Model): structidx = models.IntegerField(primary_key=True, verbose_name="ID") hills = models.CharField(max_length=100, null=True, blank=True, verbose_name="Number of fields") In my template, I return a QuerySet of Manors, and I'd like to output something like this if the hills field isn't uninteresting: {% for manor in manors %} {% if manor.hills %}<li>Hills blah blah: {{ manor.hills }}</li>{% endif %} {% endfor %} I want to avoid too much logic in the template. Ideally, the manor object would simply not return with the uninteresting fields attached, then I could just do {% if manor.hills %}. I tried writing a model method that returns a dictionary of the interesting values, like this: def get_field_dictionary(self): interesting_fields = {} for field in Manors._meta.fields: if field.value_to_string(self) != "N" and field.value_to_string(self) != "0" and field.value_to_string(self) != "-" and field.value_to_string(self) != "X": interesting_fields[field.name] = field.value_to_string(self) return interesting_fields But I don't know how to access individual values of the dictionary in the template: {% if manor.get_field_dictionary['hills'] %}<li>Hills blah blah: {{ manor.get_field_dictionary['hills'] }}</li>{% endif %} gives a TemplateSyntaxError. Is there a better way to do this?

  • ANDROID IF/ELSE FAILS CONTINUES TO EXECUTE JSON

    - by Keith Cesar Haizlett
    I am trying to create a Registration app with JSON to connect and post to MYSQL database. I created the following IF/ELSE statements to check for vacant input boxes, password match, and correct email characters before allowing it to be entered into the DATABASE. The code continues to execute the JSON posting even after the passwords don't match , invalid email characters are entered , and vacant text boxes are submitted. Why is it not returning and continuing to execute the JSON code? try { if (!inputEmail.getText().toString().matches("[a-zA-Z0-9._-]+@[a-z]+.[a-z]+") && email.length() > 0) { Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(), "Enter Valid Email Address", Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show(); return; } else if(name.equals("") || email.equals("")|| password.equals("")||check.equals("")) { Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(), "Field Vaccant", Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show(); return; } // check if both password matches else if(!password.equals(checkpass)) { Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(), "Password does not match", Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show(); return; } if (json.getString(KEY_SUCCESS) != null) { registerErrorMsg.setText(""); String res = json.getString(KEY_SUCCESS); if(Integer.parseInt(res) == 1){ // user successfully registred // Store user details in SQLite Database DatabaseHandler db = new DatabaseHandler(getApplicationContext()); JSONObject json_user = json.getJSONObject("user"); // Clear all previous data in database userFunction.logoutUser(getApplicationContext()); db.addUser(json_user.getString(KEY_NAME), json_user.getString(KEY_EMAIL), json.getString(KEY_UID), json_user.getString(KEY_CREATED_AT)); // Launch Dashboard Screen Intent dashboard = new Intent(getApplicationContext(), DashboardActivity.class); // Close all views before launching Dashboard dashboard.addFlags(Intent.FLAG_ACTIVITY_CLEAR_TOP); startActivity(dashboard); // Close Registration Screen finish(); }else{ // Error in registration registerErrorMsg.setText("User already Registered"); } } } catch (JSONException e) { } } });

  • Use string to store statement (or part of a statement), and then add it to the code

    - by Dean
    I use multidimensional arrays to store product attributes (well Virtuemart does, to be precise). When I tried to echo the sub-arrays value, if the sub-array did not exist PHP threw: Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array To get around this, I attempted to create a function to check on every array level if it is an actual array, and if it is empty (when trying on the whole thing at once such as: is_array($array['level1']['level2']['level3']), I got the same error if level1 or level2 are not actual arrays). This is the function ($array contains the array to check, $array_levels is an array containing the names of the sub-arrays, in the order they should apper): function check_md_array($array,$array_levels){ if(is_array($array)){ $dimension = null; //This will store the dimensions string foreach($array_levels as $level){ $dimension .= "['" . $level . "']"; //Add the current dimension to the dimensions string if(!is_array($array/* THE CONTENT OF $dimension SHOULD BE INSERTED HERE*/)){ return false; } } return true; } } How can I take the string contained in $dimensions, and insert it into the code, to be part of the statement?

  • LINQ to Entites - Left Outer Join - SQL 2000

    - by user255234
    Hi! I'm using Linq to Entities. I have the following query in my code, it includes left outer Join: var surgeonList = (from item in context.T1_STM_Surgeon.Include("T1_STM_SurgeonTitle") .Include("OTER").Include("OSLP") join reptable in context.OSLP on item.Rep equals reptable.SlpCode into surgRepresentative where item.ID == surgeonId select new { ID = item.ID, First = item.First, Last = item.Last, Rep = (surgRepresentative.FirstOrDefault() != null) ? surgRepresentative.FirstOrDefault().SlpName : "N/A", Reg = item.OTER.descript, PrimClinic = item.T1_STM_ClinicalCenter.Name, Titles = item.T1_STM_SurgeonTitle, Phone = item.Phone, Email = item.Email, Address1 = item.Address1, Address2 = item.Address2, City = item.City, State = item.State, Zip = item.Zip, Comments = item.Comments, Active = item.Active, DateEntered = item.DateEntered }) .ToList(); My DEV server has SQL 2008, so the code works just fine. When I moved this code to client's production server - they use SQL 2000, I started getting "Incorrect syntax near '(' ". I've tried changing the ProviderManifestToken to 2000 in my .edmx file, then I started getting "The execution of this query requires the APPLY operator, which is not supported in versions of SQL Server earlier than SQL Server 2005." I tied changing the token to 2005, the "Incorrect syntax near '(' " is back. Can anybody help me to find a workaround for this? Thank you very much in advance!

  • While loop not reading in the last item

    - by Gandalf StormCrow
    I'm trying to read in a multi line string then split it then print it .. here is the string : 1T1b5T!1T2b1T1b2T!1T1b1T2b2T!1T3b1T1b1T!3T3b1T!1T3b1T1b1T!5T1*1T 11X21b1X 4X1b1X When I split the string with ! I get this without the last line string : 1T1b5T 1T1b5T1T2b1T1b2T 1T2b1T1b2T1T1b1T2b2T 1T1b1T2b2T1T3b1T1b1T 1T3b1T1b1T3T3b1T 3T3b1T1T3b1T1b1T 1T3b1T1b1T5T1*1T 5T1*1T11X21b1X 11X21b1X Here is my code : import java.io.BufferedInputStream; import java.util.Scanner; public class Main { public static void main(String args[]) { Scanner stdin = new Scanner(new BufferedInputStream(System.in)); while (stdin.hasNext()) { for (String line : stdin.next().split("!")) { System.out.println(line); for (int i = 0; i < line.length(); i++) { System.out.print(line.charAt(i)); } } } } } Where did I make the mistake, why is not reading in the last line? After I read in all lines properly I should go trough each line if I encounter number I should print the next char the n times the number I just read, but that is long way ahead first I need help with this. Thank you UPDATE : Here is how the output should look like : 1T1b5T 1T2b1T1b2T 1T1b1T2b2T 1T3b1T1b1T 3T3b1T 1T3b1T1b1T 5T1*1T 11X21b1X 4X1b1X Here is a solution in C(my friend solved it not me), but I'd stil wanted to do it in JAVA : #include <stdio.h> int main (void) { char row[134]; for (;fgets (row,134,stdin)!=NULL;) { int i,j=0; for (i=0;row[i]!='\0';i++) { if (row[i]<='9'&&row[i]>='1') j+=(row[i]-'0'); else if ((row[i]<='Z'&&row[i]>='A')||row[i]=='*') for (;j;j--) printf ("%c",row[i]); else if (row[i]=='b') for (;j;j--) printf (" "); else if (row[i]=='!'||row[i]=='\n') printf ("\n"); } } return 0; }

  • Issues regarding playing audio files in a JME midlet.

    - by Northernen
    I am making a midlet which is to be used to play out local audio files. It is obviously not working. I am getting a null reference on the "is" variable, in the code snippet shown below. 1. try{ 2. System.out.println("path: " + this.getClass()); 3. InputStream is = this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("res/01Track.wav"); 4. p1=Manager.createPlayer(is, "audio"); 5. p1.realize(); 6. p1.prefetch(); 7. p1.start(); 8. } 9. catch(Exception e){ 10. System.out.println(e.getMessage()); 11. } I assume there is something wrong with the "this.getClass().getResourceAsStream("res/01Track.wav")" bit, but I can not for the life of me figure out why, and I have tried referring to the file in 20 different ways. If I printline "this.getClass()" it gives me "path: class Mp3spiller". The absolute path to "01Track.wav" is "E:\Mine dokumenter\Dokumenter\workspace_mobiljava\Mp3spiller\res\01Track.wav". Am I completely wrong in thinking that I should refer relatively to "E:\Mine dokumenter\Dokumenter\workspace_mobiljava\Mp3spiller"? If anyone could point out what I am doing wrong, I would be grateful. I have basically stolen the code from a tutorial I found online, so I would have thought it would be working.

  • Round date to 10 minutes interval

    - by Peter Lang
    I have a DATE column that I want to round to the next-lower 10 minute interval in a query (see example below). I managed to do it by truncating the seconds and then subtracting the last digit of minutes. WITH test_data AS ( SELECT TO_DATE('2010-01-01 10:00:00', 'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS') d FROM dual UNION SELECT TO_DATE('2010-01-01 10:05:00', 'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS') d FROM dual UNION SELECT TO_DATE('2010-01-01 10:09:59', 'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS') d FROM dual UNION SELECT TO_DATE('2010-01-01 10:10:00', 'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS') d FROM dual UNION SELECT TO_DATE('2099-01-01 10:00:33', 'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS') d FROM dual ) -- #end of test-data SELECT d, TRUNC(d, 'MI') - MOD(TO_CHAR(d, 'MI'), 10) / (24 * 60) FROM test_data And here is the result: 01.01.2010 10:00:00    01.01.2010 10:00:00 01.01.2010 10:05:00    01.01.2010 10:00:00 01.01.2010 10:09:59    01.01.2010 10:00:00 01.01.2010 10:10:00    01.01.2010 10:10:00 01.01.2099 10:00:33    01.01.2099 10:00:00 Works as expected, but is there a better way? EDIT: I was curious about performance, so I did the following test with 500.000 rows and (not really) random dates. I am going to add the results as comments to the provided solutions. DECLARE t TIMESTAMP := SYSTIMESTAMP; BEGIN FOR i IN ( WITH test_data AS ( SELECT SYSDATE + ROWNUM / 5000 d FROM dual CONNECT BY ROWNUM <= 500000 ) SELECT TRUNC(d, 'MI') - MOD(TO_CHAR(d, 'MI'), 10) / (24 * 60) FROM test_data ) LOOP NULL; END LOOP; dbms_output.put_line( SYSTIMESTAMP - t ); END; This approach took 03.24 s.

  • CRM 2011 - Set/Retrieve work hours programmatically

    - by Philip Rich
    I am attempting to retrieve a resources work hours to perform some logic I require. I understand that the CRM scheduling engine is a little clunky around such things, but I assumed that I would be able to find out how the working hours were stored in the DB eventually... So a resource has associated calendars and those calendars have associated calendar rules and inner calendars etc. It is possible to look at the start/end and frequency of aforementioned calendar rules and query their codes to work out whether a resource is 'working' during a given period. However, I have not been able to find the actual working hours, the 9-5 shall we say in any field in the DB. I even tried some SQL profiling while I was creating a new schedule for a resource via the UI, but the results don't show any work hours passing to SQL. For those with the patience the intercepted SQL statement is below:- EXEC Sp_executesql N'update [CalendarRuleBase] set [ModifiedBy]=@ModifiedBy0, [EffectiveIntervalEnd]=@EffectiveIntervalEnd0, [Description]=@Description0, [ModifiedOn]=@ModifiedOn0, [GroupDesignator]=@GroupDesignator0, [IsSelected]=@IsSelected0, [InnerCalendarId]=@InnerCalendarId0, [TimeZoneCode]=@TimeZoneCode0, [CalendarId]=@CalendarId0, [IsVaried]=@IsVaried0, [Rank]=@Rank0, [ModifiedOnBehalfBy]=NULL, [Duration]=@Duration0, [StartTime]=@StartTime0, [Pattern]=@Pattern0 where ([CalendarRuleId] = @CalendarRuleId0)', N'@ModifiedBy0 uniqueidentifier,@EffectiveIntervalEnd0 datetime,@Description0 ntext,@ModifiedOn0 datetime,@GroupDesignator0 ntext,@IsSelected0 bit,@InnerCalendarId0 uniqueidentifier,@TimeZoneCode0 int,@CalendarId0 uniqueidentifier,@IsVaried0 bit,@Rank0 int,@Duration0 int,@StartTime0 datetime,@Pattern0 ntext,@CalendarRuleId0 uniqueidentifier', @ModifiedBy0='EB04662A-5B38-E111-9889-00155D79A113', @EffectiveIntervalEnd0='2012-01-13 00:00:00', @Description0=N'Weekly Single Rule', @ModifiedOn0='2012-03-12 16:02:08', @GroupDesignator0=N'FC5769FC-4DE9-445d-8F4E-6E9869E60857', @IsSelected0=1, @InnerCalendarId0='3C806E79-7A49-4E8D-B97E-5ED26700EB14', @TimeZoneCode0=85, @CalendarId0='E48B1ABF-329F-425F-85DA-3FFCBB77F885', @IsVaried0=0, @Rank0=2, @Duration0=1440, @StartTime0='2000-01-01 00:00:00', @Pattern0=N'FREQ=WEEKLY;INTERVAL=1;BYDAY=SU,MO,TU,WE,TH,FR,SA', @CalendarRuleId0='0A00DFCF-7D0A-4EE3-91B3-DADFCC33781D' The key parts in the statement are the setting of the pattern:- @Pattern0=N'FREQ=WEEKLY;INTERVAL=1;BYDAY=SU,MO,TU,WE,TH,FR,SA' However, as mentioned, no indication of the work hours set. Am I thinking about this incorrectly or is CRM doing something interesting around these work hours? Any thoughts greatly appreciated, thanks.

  • Powershell: splatting after passing hashtable by reference

    - by user1815871
    Powershell newbie ... I recently learned about splatting — very useful. I ran into a snag when I passed a hash table by reference to a function for splatting purposes. (For brevity's sake — a silly example.) Function AllMyChildren { param ( [ref]$ReferenceToHash } get-childitem @ReferenceToHash.Value # etc.etc. } $MyHash = @{ 'path' = '*' 'include' = '*.ps1' 'name' = $null } AllMyChildren ([ref]$MyHash) Result: an error ("Splatted variables cannot be used as part of a property or array expression. Assign the result of the expression to a temporary variable then splat the temporary variable instead."). Tried this afterward: $newVariable = $ReferenceToHash.Value get-childitem @NewVariable That did work and seemed right per the error message. But: is it the preferred syntax in a case like this? (An oh, look, it actually worked solution isn't always a best practice. My approach here strikes me as "Perl-minded" and perhaps in Powershell passing by value is better, though I don't yet know the syntax for it w.r.t. a hash table.)

  • StreamReader returning another char

    - by Fernando
    I'm trying to read the content of a file with a StreamReader, that receives a FileStream. The file has some spaces inside (char 32) and the StreamReader is reading them as 0 (char 48). The screenshot shows the FileStream buffer and the StreamReader buffer. Both have the value 32, but when I call Read(), it returns 48. Am I missing something here? By the way, the code is running under .NET Compact Framework. The code that reads the data: public void Read() { using (StreamReader reader = new StreamReader(InputStream, Encoding.ASCII)) { foreach (var property in DataObject.EnumerateProperties()) { OffsetInfo offset = property.GetTextOffset(); reader.BaseStream.Position = offset.Start - 1; StringBuilder builder = new StringBuilder(offset.Size); int count = 0; while (reader.Peek() >= 0 && count < offset.Size) { char c = (char)reader.Read(); if ((int)c != 32 && c != '\r' && c != '\n') { builder.Append(c); count++; } else { reader.BaseStream.Position++; } } property.SetValue(DataObject, Convert.ChangeType(builder.ToString(), property.PropertyType, CultureInfo.CurrentCulture), null ); } } }

  • What is the best way to do scoped finds based on access control rules in Rails?

    - by Rafael Szuminski
    Hi I need to find an elegant solution to scoped finds based on access control rules. Essentially I have the following setup: Users Customers AccessControl - Defines which user has access to another users data Users need to be able to access not just their own customers but also shared customers of other users. Obviously something like a simple association will not work: has_many :customers and neither will this: has_many :customers, :conditions => 'user_id in (1,2,3,4,5)' because the association uses with_scope and the added condition is an AND condition not an OR condition. I also tried overriding the find and method_missing methods with the association extension like this: has_many :customers do def find(*args) #get the user_id and retrieve access conditions based on the id #do a find based on the access conditions and passed args end def method_missing(*args) #get the user_id and retrieve access conditions based on the id #do a find based on the access conditions and passed args end end but the issue is that I don't have access to the user object / parent object inside the extension methods and it just does not work as planned. I also tried default_scope but as posted here before you can't pass a block to a default scope. Anyhow, I know that data segmentation and data access controls have been done before using rails and am wondering if somebody found an elegant way to do it. UPDATE: The AccessControl table has the following layout user_id shared_user_id The customer table has this structure: id account_id user_id first_name last_name Assuming the the following data would be in the AccessControl table: 1 1 1 3 1 4 2 2 2 13 and so on... And the account_id for user 1 is 13 I need to be able to retrieve customers that can be best described with the following sql statement: select * from customers where (account_id = 13 and user_id = null) or (user_id in (1,3,4))

  • Can I use Eclipse JDT to create new 'working copies' of source files in memory only?

    - by RYates
    I'm using Eclipse JDT to build a Java refactoring platform, for exploring different refactorings in memory before choosing one and saving it. I can create collections of working copies of the source files, edit them in memory, and commit the changes to disk using the JDT framework. However, I also want to generate new 'working copy' source files in memory as part of refactorings, and only create the corresponding real source file if I commit the working copy. I have seen various hints that this is possible, e.g. http://www.jarvana.com/jarvana/view/org/eclipse/jdt/doc/isv/3.3.0-v20070613/isv-3.3.0-v20070613.jar!/guide/jdt%5Fapi%5Fmanip.htm says "Note that the compilation unit does not need to exist in the Java model in order for a working copy to be created". So far I have only been able to create a new real file, i.e. ICompilationUnit newICompilationUnit = myPackage.createCompilationUnit(newName, "package piffle; public class Baz{private int i=0;}", false, null); This is not what I want. Does anyone know how to create a new 'working copy' source file, that does not appear in my file system until I commit it? Or any other mechanism to achieve the same thing?

  • I need Selenium to open it's web browser in a larger resolution ( preferably maximized)

    - by user1854271
    I am using Selenium WebDriver and coding in Python I have looked all over the place and the best I could find were things written in different languages. I also tried to use the export tool on Selenium IDE but when I look at the data says that the function is not supported for export. EDIT: The reason I need the browser to open up with a larger resolution is because the web application that I am testing is supporting tablet resolution as so elements are different depending on the resolution of the browser window. This is the script I exported from the IDE with a couple of modifications. from selenium import webdriver from selenium.webdriver.common.by import By from selenium.webdriver.support.ui import Select from selenium.common.exceptions import NoSuchElementException import unittest, time, re from Funk_Lib import RS class CreatingEditingDeletingVault(unittest.TestCase): def setUp(self): self.driver = webdriver.Firefox() self.driver.implicitly_wait(30) self.base_url = "http://cimdev-qa40/" self.verificationErrors = [] def test_creating_editing_deleting_vault(self): driver = self.driver driver.get(self.base_url + "/Login?contoller=Home") driver.find_element_by_id("UserName").click() driver.find_element_by_id("UserName").clear() driver.find_element_by_id("UserName").send_keys("[email protected]") driver.find_element_by_name("Password").click() driver.find_element_by_name("Password").clear() driver.find_element_by_name("Password").send_keys("Codigo#123") driver.find_element_by_id("fat-btn").click() driver.get(self.base_url + "/Content/Vaults/") driver.find_element_by_link_text("Content").click() driver.find_element_by_link_text("Vaults").click() driver.find_element_by_css_selector("button.btn.dropdown-toggle").click() driver.find_element_by_link_text("New vault").click() driver.find_element_by_name("Name").clear() driver.find_element_by_name("Name").send_keys("Test Vault") driver.find_element_by_xpath("//button[@onclick=\"vault_action('createvault', null, $('#CreateVault [name=\\'Name\\']').val())\"]").click() driver.find_element_by_css_selector("button.btn.dropdown-toggle").click() driver.find_element_by_link_text("Rename vault").click() driver.find_element_by_name("Id").click() Select(driver.find_element_by_name("Id")).select_by_visible_text("Test Vault") driver.find_element_by_css_selector("option[value=\"2\"]").click() driver.find_element_by_name("Name").clear() driver.find_element_by_name("Name").send_keys("Test Change") driver.find_element_by_xpath("//button[@onclick=\"vault_action('renamevault', $('#RenameVault [name=\\'Id\\']').val(), $('#RenameVault [name=\\'Name\\']').val())\"]").click() driver.find_element_by_css_selector("button.btn.dropdown-toggle").click() driver.find_element_by_link_text("Delete vault").click() driver.find_element_by_name("Id").click() Select(driver.find_element_by_name("Id")).select_by_visible_text("Test Change") driver.find_element_by_css_selector("option[value=\"2\"]").click() driver.find_element_by_xpath("//button[@onclick=\"vault_action('deletevault', $('#DeleteVault [name=\\'Id\\']').val(), '')\"]").click() def is_element_present(self, how, what): try: self.driver.find_element(by=how, value=what) except NoSuchElementException, e: return False return True def tearDown(self): self.driver.quit() self.assertEqual([], self.verificationErrors) if __name__ == "__main__": unittest.main()

  • Hadoop File Read

    - by user3684584
    Hadoop Distributed Cache Wordcount example in hadoop 2.2.0. Copied file into hdfs filesystem to be used inside setup of mapper class. protected void setup(Context context) throws IOException,InterruptedException { Path[] uris = DistributedCache.getLocalCacheFiles(context.getConfiguration()); cacheData=new HashMap(); for(Path urifile: uris) { try { BufferedReader readBuffer1 = new BufferedReader(new FileReader(urifile.toString())); String line; while ((line=readBuffer1.readLine())!=null) { System.out.println("**************"+line); cacheData.put(line,line); } readBuffer1.close(); } catch (Exception e) { System.out.println(e.toString()); } } } Inside Driver Main class Configuration conf = new Configuration(); String[] otherArgs = new GenericOptionsParser(conf,args).getRemainingArgs(); if (otherArgs.length != 3) { System.err.println("Usage: wordcount <in> <out>"); System.exit(2); } Job job = new Job(conf, "word_count"); job.setJarByClass(WordCount.class); job.setMapperClass(Map.class); job.setReducerClass(Reduce.class); job.setOutputKeyClass(Text.class); job.setOutputValueClass(IntWritable.class); FileInputFormat.addInputPath(job, new Path(otherArgs[0])); Path outputpath=new Path(otherArgs[1]); outputpath.getFileSystem(conf).delete(outputpath,true); FileOutputFormat.setOutputPath(job,outputpath); System.out.println("CachePath****************"+otherArgs[2]); DistributedCache.addCacheFile(new URI(otherArgs[2]),job.getConfiguration()); System.exit(job.waitForCompletion(true) ? 0 : 1); But getting exception java.io.FileNotFoundException: file:/home/user12/tmp/mapred/local/1408960542382/cache (No such file or directory) So Cache functionality not working properly. Any Idea ?

  • I am using a regex snippet query string path

    - by Shelby Poston
    Using the following to load images base on two ids one is the and bookid and the out is the client. My folder structures is this. root path = flipbooks subfolders under flipbooks are books and clients in subfolder books I have and .net page title tablet. the tablet code behind checks the bookid of client and render a the tablet page with images in a flipbook fashion. because we have over 15000 records and flipbooks already created and stored in the database. I don't move the client folder under the books subfolders. I need the code below to get to the client subfolder in the query string and help to change this would be helpful. The result now is http://www.somewebsite.com/books/client/images/someimage1.jpg[^] I need the results to be http://www.somewebsite.com/client/images/someimage1.jpg[^]. I tried moving the tablet.aspx file to the root flipbooks and it works but i have provide a user name and password each time. This need to be access by the public and my root is protected. Don't want to have to change permission. I am trying to remove the /books function getParameterByName(name) { var results = RegExp('[?&]' + name + '=([^&]*)').exec(window.location.search); return results ? decodeURIComponent(results[1].replace(/\+/g, ' ')) : null; } Thanks Mission Critical

  • Android Service setForeground While Display Sleeps

    - by c12
    I have a background Android Service that's purpose is to communicate with another device (non-phone) using a Bluetooth socket. Everything works fine except that the service gets stopped and restarted by the OS when the phone display is sleeping. This restart sometimes leaves a 15-20 minute gaps where there is no communication between the Service and the Bluetooth device and I need to be able to query the device every minute. Is startForeground the proper approach? Attempted to use: startForeground(int, Notification) //still see gaps when phone sleeps Service: public class ForegroundBluetoothService extends Service{ private boolean isStarted = false; @Override public void onDestroy() { super.onDestroy(); stop(); } /** * @see android.app.Service#onBind(android.content.Intent) */ @Override public IBinder onBind(Intent intent) { return null; } /** * @see android.app.Service#onStartCommand(android.content.Intent, int, int) */ @Override public int onStartCommand(Intent intent, int flags, int startId) { loadServiceInForeground(); return(START_STICKY); } private void loadServiceInForeground() { if (!isStarted) { isStarted=true; Notification notification = new Notification(R.drawable.icon, "Service is Running...", System.currentTimeMillis()); Intent notificationIntent = new Intent(this, MainScreen.class); PendingIntent pendingIntent = PendingIntent.getActivity(this, 0, notificationIntent, 0); notification.setLatestEventInfo(this, "Notification Title", "Service is Running...", pendingIntent); startForeground(12345, notification); try{ queryTheBluetoothDevice(); } catch(Exception ex){ ex.printStackTrace(); } } } private void stop() { if (isStarted) { isStarted=false; stopForeground(true); } } }

  • writing something in jList

    - by bigbluedragon
    hey i have another problem. I created jList in my main window and now i want to add something to it. I do it this way... private void jButton2ActionPerformed(java.awt.event.ActionEvent evt) { Dodaj_Przedmiot dodaj_przedmiot = new Dodaj_Przedmiot(null, true); dodaj_przedmiot.setVisible(true); SterowanieBazy instance = SterowanieBazy.getInstance(); Zmienne_pomocnicze zp = new Zmienne_pomocnicze(); instance.dodajPrzedmiot(przedmiot); String przedm[] = instance.zwrocPrzedmioty(); jList1.setListData(przedm); } what i want to write in that list is what i collect from my jDialogForm: dodaj_przedmiot private void jButton1ActionPerformed(java.awt.event.ActionEvent evt) { String sciezka = jTextField1.getText(); if (sciezka.length() > 0) { Zmienne_pomocnicze zp = new Zmienne_pomocnicze(); zp.setPrzechowaj(sciezka); } this.setVisible(false); } and i collect try to copy that date using this class public class Zmienne_pomocnicze { public String n; public int a; public void setPrzechowaj (String neew) { n = neew; } public String getPrzechowaj () { return n; } } i would be grateful for any ideas how to make it works^^

  • Threads are blocked in malloc and free, virtual size

    - by Albert Wang
    Hi, I'm running a 64-bit multi-threaded program on the windows server 2003 server (X64), It run into a case that some of the threads seem to be blocked in the malloc or free function forever. The stack trace is like follows: ntdll.dll!NtWaitForSingleObject() + 0xa bytes ntdll.dll!RtlpWaitOnCriticalSection() - 0x1aa bytes ntdll.dll!RtlEnterCriticalSection() + 0xb040 bytes ntdll.dll!RtlpDebugPageHeapAllocate() + 0x2f6 bytes ntdll.dll!RtlDebugAllocateHeap() + 0x40 bytes ntdll.dll!RtlAllocateHeapSlowly() + 0x5e898 bytes ntdll.dll!RtlAllocateHeap() - 0x1711a bytes MyProg.exe!malloc(unsigned __int64 size=0) Line 168 C MyProg.exe!operator new(unsigned __int64 size=1) Line 59 + 0x5 bytes C++ ntdll.dll!NtWaitForSingleObject() ntdll.dll!RtlpWaitOnCriticalSection() ntdll.dll!RtlEnterCriticalSection() ntdll.dll!RtlpDebugPageHeapFree() ntdll.dll!RtlDebugFreeHeap() ntdll.dll!RtlFreeHeapSlowly() ntdll.dll!RtlFreeHeap() MyProg.exe!free(void * pBlock=0x000000007e8e4fe0) C BTW, the param values passed to the new operator is not correct here maybe due to optimization. Also, at the same time, I found in the process Explorer, the virtual size of this program is 10GB, but the private bytes and working set is very small (<2GB). We did have some threads using virtualalloc but in a way that commit the memory in the call, and these threads are not blocked. m_pBuf = VirtualAlloc(NULL, m_size, MEM_COMMIT, PAGE_READWRITE); ...... VirtualFree(m_pBuf, 0, MEM_RELEASE); This looks strange to me, seems a lot of virtual space is reserved but not committed, and malloc/free is blocked by lock. I'm guessing if there's any corruptions in the memory/object, so plan to turn on gflag with pageheap to troubleshoot this. Does anyone has similar experience on this before? Could you share with me so I may get more hints? Thanks a lot!

  • .NET XML serialization gotchas?

    - by kurious
    I've run into a few gotchas when doing C# XML serialization that I thought I'd share: You can't serialize items that are read-only (like KeyValuePairs) You can't serialize a generic dictionary. Instead, try this wrapper class (from http://weblogs.asp.net/pwelter34/archive/2006/05/03/444961.aspx): using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Text; using System.Xml.Serialization; [XmlRoot("dictionary")] public class SerializableDictionary<TKey, TValue> : Dictionary<TKey, TValue>, IXmlSerializable { public System.Xml.Schema.XmlSchema GetSchema() { return null; } public void ReadXml(System.Xml.XmlReader reader) { XmlSerializer keySerializer = new XmlSerializer(typeof(TKey)); XmlSerializer valueSerializer = new XmlSerializer(typeof(TValue)); bool wasEmpty = reader.IsEmptyElement; reader.Read(); if (wasEmpty) return; while (reader.NodeType != System.Xml.XmlNodeType.EndElement) { reader.ReadStartElement("item"); reader.ReadStartElement("key"); TKey key = (TKey)keySerializer.Deserialize(reader); reader.ReadEndElement(); reader.ReadStartElement("value"); TValue value = (TValue)valueSerializer.Deserialize(reader); reader.ReadEndElement(); this.Add(key, value); reader.ReadEndElement(); reader.MoveToContent(); } reader.ReadEndElement(); } public void WriteXml(System.Xml.XmlWriter writer) { XmlSerializer keySerializer = new XmlSerializer(typeof(TKey)); XmlSerializer valueSerializer = new XmlSerializer(typeof(TValue)); foreach (TKey key in this.Keys) { writer.WriteStartElement("item"); writer.WriteStartElement("key"); keySerializer.Serialize(writer, key); writer.WriteEndElement(); writer.WriteStartElement("value"); TValue value = this[key]; valueSerializer.Serialize(writer, value); writer.WriteEndElement(); writer.WriteEndElement(); } } } Any other XML gotchas out there?
