• Blackberry - Can't change theme after lwuit was installed

  I've used lwuit in my j2me application and it works well. When I've converted .jar file to .cod file and install it on BB emulator, I've faced runtime error 104. Then I got the blackberry demo and lwuit.jar file included with it and when install it on BB it works well. But after I edit the theme.res file application doesn't open any more. Please can you help me - how to apply my theme on bb app which using lwuit? Thanks in advance.

• Delphi Clientdataset Lookup/Aggregate

  Hi, I need a little help with ClientDatasets in Delphi. What I want to achieve is a grid showing customers, where one of the columns shows the number of orders for each customer. I put a ClientDataset on a form and load Customers.xml from Delphi demo-data. Another ClienDataset is loaded with orders.xml. Relatively simple, I can define an aggregate on the orders CDS showing the total amount per customer (or the count). (See Cary Jensens article on this: http://edn.embarcadero.com/article/29272) The problem is getting this aggregate result from orders dataset into the customer dataset. It is kind of an reverse lookup, since there is a 1-n relationship between customers and orders, not an n-1 as normally in lookup scenarios. Any ideas ? Søren

  I am using jQuery and the cornerz plug in to get rounded corners on elements of the page without using images. In IE7 and 8 it fails and I get this error: "Object doesn't support this property or method" on this lines: if($.browser.msie && settings.fixIE) { var ow = $$.outerWidth(); var oh = $$.outerHeight(); Basically it complains about the outerWidth and outerHeight properties... The cornerz demo page (here) works perfectly on IE7 and 8 without throwing any error and it has got several examples...I do not know why this is happening Any suggestion will be appreciated Thanks in advance

• Wicket Drag and drop functionality for adding an image

  I'm making a wicket app that can manage some options for a cashdesk app. One of the options is to change the image of a selected Product. The user(manager) can choose from the already present images in the database (SQL) when this option is selected, or add a new image if the desired image is not present. Don't mention the test names and awesome images (it's still in test-fase) I prefer to see the adding of an image achieved by Drag and Drop html5 demo [dnd-upload] (From the desktop into the browser) I'm currently using Wicket-6.2.0 and wicket-dnd 0.5.0 and i can't seem to get this working! All examples I can find are from wicket 2.x or lower. It is possible to use drag and drop in Wicket-6.2, but how do I achieve this? There seems to be some DraggableBehavior in wicket? • bgiframe appears in front of jquery modal dialog's overlay in IE6

  When I look at jquery ui's demo modal dialog (http://jqueryui.com/demos/dialog/#modal) in IE6 the bgiframe is appearing on top of the background overlay. So instead of seeing a black/gray stripe pattern, there is just a white background covering the page with the word "false" in the upper left corner. Is bgiframe broken with the latest version of jqueryui? Is there a quick way to repair this problem with bgiframe? If not, is there a plugin that hides selects when a modal dialog is shown? The ie6 z-index issue with selects is the reason I was using bgiframe in the first place.

  Hi all, I need to create a particle system and retain the created particles. I need to shake / move the created particles with the iphone accelerometer. Also, the number of particles needs to be very high (I need to show sand!). I do not have any OpenGLES programming experience. After initial search, I found Cocos2D can be used for particle generation. But there is no way of retaining the particles in the CCParticle system. As a work around, I tried creating many sprites at the end of particle generation and shown them as particles. But moving few number of sprites with accelerometer drops the frame rate considerably. Please suggest how this can be achieved and whether I should look for some other framework or if some kind of similar demo code is available. Thanks, Swapnil

  I have several configuration files on Windows Server 2008 nested like such: C:\Projects\Project_1\project1.config C:\Projects\Project_2\project2.config In my configuration I need to do a string replace like such: <add key="Environment" value="Dev"/> will become: <add key="Environment" value="Demo"/> I thought about using batch scripting, but there was no good way to do this, and I heard that with PowerShell scripting you can easily perform this. I have found examples of find/replace, but I was hoping for a way that would traverse all folders within my C:\Projects directory and find any files that end with the '.config' extension. When it finds one, I want it to replace my string values. Any good resources to find out how to do this or any PowerShell gurus that can offer some insight?

We want to build a workflow process which handles a few thousand records per hour. Each record takes up to a minute to process, because it makes external web service calls. We are testing Windows Workflow Foundation to do this. But our demo programs show processing of each record appear to be running in sequence not in parallel, when we use parallel activities to process several records at once within one workflow instance. Should we use multiple workflow instances or parallel activities? Are there any known patterns for high performance WWF processing?

  I was given 2 MP3 files, one that is 4.5Mb and one that is 5.6Mb. I was instructed to have them play on a website i am managing. I have found a nice, clean looking CSS based jQuery audio player. My question is, is this the right solution for files that big? I am not sure if the player preloads the file, or streams it ? (if that is the correct terminology) i dont deal much with audio players and such... this player is from happyworm.com/jquery/jplayer/latest/demo-01.htm is there another approach i shoudl take to get this to play properly? I dont want it to have to buffer, and the visitor to wait, or slow page loading...etc..etc.. i want it to play clean and not affect the visitors session to the site. thanks

• Good memory profiling, leak and error detection for Windows

  I'm currently looking for a good memory / leak detection tool for Windows. A few years ago, I used Numega's Boundschecker, which was VERY good. Right now it seems to have been sold to Compuware, which apparently sold it again to some other company. Trying to evaluate a demo of the current version has been so far very frustrating, in the best "enterprisy" tradition: (a) no advertised prices on their website (Great Red Flashing Lights of Warning); (b) contact form asked for number of employeers and other private information; (c) no response to my emails asking for a evaluation and price. I had to conclude that BoundsChecker is now one of "those" products. Y'know, the type where you innocently call and tomorrow 3 men in black suits turn up at your building wanting to talk to you about "partnerships" and not-so-secretly gauge the size of your company and therefore how much they can get away with charging you. SO, rant aside, can anyone recommend an excellent memory checking/leak detection tool, how much it costs, and suggestions for where to buy?

  I'm dealing with a very big issue about bit rate , ffmpeg provide the -b option for the bit rate and for adjustment it provide -minrate and -maxrate, -bufsize but it don't work proper. If i'm giving 256kbps at -b option , when the trans-coding finishes , it provide the 380kbps. How can we achieve the constant bit rate using ffmpeg. If their is +-10Kb it's adjustable. but the video bit rate always exceed by 50-100 kbps. I'm using following command ffmpeg -i "demo.avs" -vcodec libx264 -s 320x240 -aspect 4:3 -r 15 -b 256kb \ -minrate 200kb -maxrate 280kb -bufsize 256kb -acodec libmp3lame -ac 2 \ -ar 22050 -ab 64kb -y "output.mp4" When trans-coding is done, the Media Info show overall bit rate 440kb (it should be 320kb). Is their something wrong in the command. Or i have to use some other parameter? Plz provide your suggestion its very important.

• Overlapping two divs and 'clearing' their parent div

  My CSS-fu is letting me down here: What I'd like to do is position two child divs to be overlapping: Using position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; is the only way I know how, with the parent set to position: relative. The problem with this is that the child divs are taken out of the layout as per the CSS spec, shrinking the parent div to height: 0px, so that I can't clear that div and put any content below. My amazing ASCII art below details what I'm going for... any ideas? As an aside, I need these divs to be overlapping exactly for jQuery fades, and maybe trying out some of the new Webkit transforms, a la Apple's cardflip demo: http://developer.apple.com/safari/library/samplecode/CardFlip/Introduction/Intro.html If there's another way to get them overlapped exactly in CSS, I'm all ears. • Prototype Ajax.Updater Response OK, but not showing up in FF. working in Safari!

  Hi, I've got a quite strange problem here. I'm calling some simple code via Ajax.Updater: new Ajax.Updater('load','http://myurl.com/demo.pl?key=demokey&param1=xyz&param2=abc',{ method:'get', onComplete:function(transport){ alert(transport.responseText) } }); which gets some code like this: <img id="2009_04_15_1239786246" src='../pv/100/2009_04_15_1239786246-01.jpg' border="1"> <img id="2009_04_15_1239786066" src='../pv/100/2009_04_15_1239786066-01.jpg' border="1"> ... and so on This code shows up in my firebug console as my server response, so everything should be fine. No errors here at all. Works fine in Safari. Firefox, according to Firebug, knows there is a response, but it won't show a thing in my div 'load' and the alert(transport.responseText) is also empty. I have no idea what could be the problem here.

  I'm rather taken with MEF and plan to use it to build a demo application to load different tabs. I am a begineer at MEF and WPF and although MEF is loading the assemblies I'm stuck at loading the controls into the TabItem I have created. My code looks a bt like this .. foreach (var page in pages) { TabItem item = new TabItem(); item.Header = page.PageTitle; /// Errm??? // Add each page tcPageControl.Items.Add(item); } The tabs are Pages, so I might be doing it totally wrong, and any help would be appreciated. • Silverlight MVVM example which does not use data grids?

  I was wondering if anyone knew of a great example of using the MVVC pattern for a Silverlight application that does not utilise a data grid? Most of the examples I have read see links below and books such as Pro WPF and Silverlight MVVM by Gary Hall use a silverlight application with a datagrid. Don't get me wrong, these are all great examples. • Problem with images in upload directory after upgrading WordPress to 3.0

  I've developed a WordPress plugin and it wordked well from WP 2.0 and up to WP 3.0rc1 (haven't tried rc2) but now with rc3 and milestone 3.0 a strange and irritating error appeared. If you check out my demo page you will se that none of the cover-images is working. they are in the same place as before but they can not be hotlinked or show up when i enter the correct url. if i move the img-directory from /wp-content/uploads/my-record-collection/ to /wp-content/uploads/ the images show up if i enter the url, but not if i move it back inside my "my-record-collection"-folder. anyone know what change in rc3(or maybe rc2) that made this bug appear and what can be done to fix it?
