  Hi, im aware of the possibility to create instances but i don't know a real good reason to do it. This way one has per definition at least two sqlserver services running, but what for should this be good? The two instances have to share all the ressouces mainly the RAM. If you have to rename the server you will end up with an access like \NEWSQLServer\OldInstanceName. So what is the case for instances?

Im remotely accessing this firewall from a different location by SSH, but would like to use the asdm to access it remotely.   I Installed wamp in windows 7 pro, and copied a joomla live site. Everything seems working well except that it doesn't load the images on the page. Even when I try to access in directly: localhost/logo.png Im getting an 403 Forbidden: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /logo.png on this server. Solutions I have tried are: Using icacls to grant priviledge Folder Permissions Issue in Windows 7 manually set the permission by right clicking the image and editing the security.

  Hey I have to make a file system with an encrypted partition with on ubuntu server. something like Unencrypted: / - 10 GB /home - 10GB /var - 5GB -------------- Encrypted: /opt - 50GB This I can figure out in the setup, just partition as normal, setup /tmp as a encrypted volume with dm-crypt. However im not sure how to mirror this entire drive, so that if either failed i could still boot. and how will that affect the encrypted partition. Any help would be appreciated.

  I setup an wireless AP (linksys wifi router) to have no dhcp and point to the main router as the default gateway. I also set it up to obtain a ip from the network but when i go to my main router and look for it i don't see any ip's that it could be If i use net stumbler i can see the mac address of the wifi portion of it but Im at a loss how to get into the web console of this router any ideas on how to "find" this router?

  Im trying to figure out if there is an easy way to identify the missing critical patches/packages on my RHEL5 boxes. This is for audit purposes and was trying to figure out if there was an RPM command or something of the sort that would accomplish this easily.   I have a batch file that changes a few registry files, and then restarts explorer.exe so that they take effect. I'm using the command taskkill /f /im explorer.exe and then explorer.exe which of course kills all the explorer.exe processes, including the explorer windows I have open. Obviously, I am using the option to Launch folder windows in a separate process. Is there any way I can determine which instance of explorer.exe is the main one, and just kill that?

  i had a failed SP1 install... now im stuck with the system trying (and failing) to finilize instalation @boot, the system after log-in thinks its SP1 SP1 uninstaller says it cant uninstall SP1 installer says allready installed SP2 installer says install SP1 is there a way to remove SP1 information, fool the system to think it doesnt have service pack and install it again ? i REALLY dont want to reinstall windows. that would suck so badly that id rather stick with this pre-SP1 relic...

• Need to remove borders from multiple images

  I have a few hundred family images and they were all sent to us with borders that I would like to remove. Thankfully the borders are all the same size of 20 pixels and they are all .jpg so this will probably make things easier but im looking for a way to "batch process" all of them quickly so I dont need to open photoshop for each image and do it individually. I've been fiddling around with powershell, but couldn't get much out of it, downloaded the PowerShell extensions from Quest, tried out some snippets, but I couldn't find something that fits my needs. My guess is to query the events on the Active Directory server but haven't been able to get a snippet that works so far.
