  I ran into a 500.50 error yesterday, which wasnt very descriptive initially, so I thought I would provide some details on what it could be. First, off, if you hit the page remotely, its going to hide the real details.  It will look something like this: Server Error 500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. Checking the IIS logs will show that its a 500.50 error in this case.   I have masterdomain.com which is the domain that hosts other domains. On cPanel normally you can get to the actual cPanel by visiting cpanel.hosteddomainA.com, hosteddomainA.com/cpanel or hosteddomainA.com:2082 What I would like to accomplish is to have the hosteddomains cPanel auto redirect to something like my.masterdomain.com:2082 . Doing this would allow me to adequately throw an SSL cert in my. and really offer a secure experience to my users. I know it's possible because bluehost does the same. They redirect to my.bluehost.com. Can anyone think of how to do it?

• Rewriting a URL for tomcat through an ajp connection

  I've tried several attempts to resolve this, but all have come up naught. Currently I have apache setup to forward all urls at and past the /portal/ tag to tomcat. Unfortunately, tomcat receives these requests through /portal/appName, a subdirectory in webapps rather than the webapps root directory where my wars are deployed. Is there a simple solution to this that I'm not seeing? I've been trying to use mod_rewrite to ^/portal/ $ / but that doesn't yield the expected results (perhaps I'm doing this wrong?).

  When I try to connect my Google account, the following happens: I open "Online Accounts" - the Google account appears in the left hand margin. When I highlight it, I am invited to grant access.   There is an old page with a space in the filename, and this is no longer found on the website. So I need to redirect this page to another page using a 301 redirect in .htaccess. If I place the filename directly into .htaccess (Bouquets%20%26%20Loose.html), the redirect does not work. If I escape the % sign like this (Bouquets\%20\%26\%20Loose.html), the redirect still does not work. How do I get this redirect to work in .htaccess? Thanks.

• Using nginx and/or varnish to cache server-generated 301 redirects

  I'm implementing a sort of url-shortener service. What happens is that I have some backend app server that takes in a request, does some computation and returns a 301 redirected url back upstream to an nginx frontend: request ---> nginx ----> app_server What I want to be able to do is cache this returned 301 url for the same request (a specific url with a "short code"). Does nginx do this caching automatically? Or should I drop in something like varnish in between nginx and the app_server? I can easily cache this in memcache, but that would require hitting the app_server, which I'm sure can be dispensed with after the first request. Thanks.

• Finding Bluetooth link key in Windows 7, to double pair a device on dualboot computer

  How can I dig up the Bluetooth link key for a paired device in Windows 7? Is this something that is dependent on the Bluetooth stack I'm using (Toshiba), or is there a generic place to store these in Windows 7? Note: I'm not talking about the six-digit code usually typed by the user during pairing - that is worthless since it's discarded after pairing process. What I mean is the 128-bit link key that the devices exchange during pairing, and use thereafter to encrypt all their Bluetooth traffic. Background: I dualboot Windows 7 / Ubuntu on my laptop, and I would like to have my phone paired to both OS's. Since the dualbooting computer has only one Bluetooth adapter and thus only one Bluetooth address, I cannot do two pairings to the phone, since on the second pairing (Windows) the phone just replaces the previous pairing (Linux) to the same Bluetooth address. A thread on Ubuntu forums pointed me to what I have to do - pair first on Linux, then on Windows, and then replace the link key on Linux side with the one Windows negotiated. I can find the Linux side pairing key from /var/lib/Bluetooth/[BD_ADDR]/linkkeys - no problems there. However, on Windows side I can't find the key. According to the forum post, on Windows side the key should be in SYSTEM\ControlSet002\services\BTHPORT\Parameters\Keys\[BD_ADDR] but while that registry key does exist, it has no subkeys. (And a similar registry path in ControlSet001 didn't have any subkeys either.) One thing I've been instructed to do is to capture all events during pairing with Sysinternals Process Monitor. I did this, but I haven't been able to find any useful information from the captured events, not even by exporting the data to a huge XML and grepping that with the BD_ADDRs (with or without colons).   I don't know a whole lot about .htaccess rules so forgive and help me ask the correct question. Currently I have a .htaccess rule like: RewriteRule ^surveys/(\S+)/directory/(\d+)/(\d+)/entry/(\d+)/?$ directories/index.cfm?sFuseAction=XXX.YYYY.ZZZZ&nDirectoryID=$2&nEntryID=$4&nCategoryID=$3&sDirectory=$1 [NC,L] which I want to do a 301 redirect to: RewriteRule ^(\S+)/directory/(\d+)/(\d+)/entry/(\d+)/?$ directories/index.cfm?sFuseAction=XXX.YYYY.ZZZZ&nDirectoryID=$2&nEntryID=$4&nCategoryID=$3&sDirectory=$1 [NC,L] I'm unsure of the correct syntax to go about making these redirect correctly.

  My mom has a recipe blog in blogger which has many categories "Cakes", "Celebration Day" etc which are filled with numerous recipe posts. Now I want to organize my blog in a better way and make a drop down menu for all the categories(I already have labels) but I dont want to keep updating the menu whenever I include a new post. I want to have it updated automatically. Is there any way it can be done with CSS or html codes?
