• Using Apache Camel how do I unmarshal my deserialized object that comes in through a CXF Endpoint?

  I have a very simple camel route. It starts with a CXF Endpoint exposed as a web service. I then want to convert it to xml and call a method on a bean. Currently i'm getting a CXF specific object after the web service call. How do I take my serialized object out of the CXF MessageList and use it going forward? • C# COM objects with VB6/asp error

  I'm trying to expose a C# class library via COM so that I can use it in a classic asp web site. I've used sn - k, regasm and gacutil. About all I can do now though is echo back strings. Methods which take Class variables as input are not working for me. ie my test method EchoPerson(Person p) which returns a string of the first and last name doesn't work. I get a runtime error 5 - Invalid procedure call or argument. Please let me know what I am missing. Also I have no intellisence in VB. What do I need to do to get the intellisence working. Where I don't know the value of "StringToBind" until runtime? I already realize there are much more straightforward ways to accomplish this exact thing STATICALLY, and using only Flex.   I want tp encrypt and decrypt string, with defined salt. But the result must be same if the code run in java and adobe flex. • Debugging Maya plug-ins: can't get output or debugger to engage

  I'm not a total beginner at Maya, but this is my first time trying to write a plug-in for it. I've downloaded the 30-day eval version of Maya2011 (32bit version on 64bit Windows 7), and have tried building a couple of plug-ins with VC 2008 Express. The first one is helloWorldCmd from the sample directory ..\devkit\plug-ins, and it basically doesn't work until you convert the line cout<<"Hello World"<<endl; to cerr<<"Hello World"<<endl;, but I can live with that. The second one is the SelectRingContext2 example from David Gould's book. The plug-in works as advertised, but I cannot get any debugging output from it. I've tried putting cout, cerr,printf, and MGlobal::displayInfo into the doIt() method, and can't get a peep. I also haven't figured out how to run the plug-in in a debugger. I'm afraid I'm missing something easy but slightly obscure, like a flag somewhere. Anybody out there have any hints? Edit: Turns out the action is happening in the redoIt() method. So I can get MGlobal::displayInfo and cerr producing output. Still don't know why cout and printf don't work, and I'm not sure how to run in the debugger. When I run maya -d (which some of the online advice says I should do) it just shows the output window but never loads the rest.

• Usage of putty in command line from Hudson

  Hi, I'm trying to use putty in command line from an hudson job. The command is the following one: putty -ssh -2 -P 22 USERNAME@SERVER_ADDR -pw PASS -m command.txt Where 'command.txt' is a shell script to execute in the server through SSH. If i launch this command from the Window command prompt, it works, the shell script is executed on the server machine. If i launch a build of the hudson job configured with this batch command, it doesn't work. The build is running... and running... and running.. without doing anything, and i have to stop it manually. So my question is: Is it possible to launch an external programm (i.e. putty) from an hudson job ? ps: i tried SSH plugin but... not a really good plugin (pre/post build, fail status of the commands launched not caught by hudson, etc.) Thanks in advance for your help. The program typically 'query' the judge program a certain number of times, then output a final answer. An example The client program accepts lines one by one, and simply echoes it back. When it encountered a line with "done", it exists immediately. • What is the best way to parse python script file in C/C++ code

  I am embedding python in C/C++ program. What I am trying to do is to parse the python script file from the C/C++ program, break the file to "blocks" so that each "block" is an a valid command in python code. Each block I need to put into std::string. What is the best way to do this, is there any Python C/C++ API function that supports this? why i need it - for GUI purpose. My program , which is writen in C, uses python to make some calculations. I run from C code , using python C API , python script and what i need is a way to capture python's output in my program. I catch it and evrything is ok, the problem is when the script involves user input. What happens is that i capture python's output after the script is finished , therefore, when there is an input command in the script i get a black screen .... i need to get all the printings before the input command. The first solution i tried is to parss the script to valid commands and run each comand, one after the other , seperatly .... for this i need to pars the script and deside what is a command and what is not ... The question is : what is the best way to do this and if there is somthing that allready does ?

  This is just a question to help me understand CSS rendering better. Lets say we have a million lines of this. <div class="first"> <div class="second"> <span class="third">Hello World</span> </div> </div> Which would be the fastest way to change the font of Hello World to red? .third { color: red; } div.third { color: red; } div.second div.third { color: red; } div.first div.second div.third { color: red; } Also, what if there was at tag in the middle that had a unique id of "foo". Which one of the CSS methods above would be the fastest. I know why these methods are used etc, im just trying to grasp better the rendering technique of the browsers and i have no idea how to make a test that times it. UPDATE: Nice answer Gumbo. From the looks of it then it would be quicker in a regular site to do the full definition of a tag. Since it finds the parents and narrows the search for every parent found. That could be bad in the sense you'd have a pretty large CSS file though.

Anyway, things are great up until the time when I initiate a DH key exchange. I've compared the traffic when I establish a ssh connection (from openssh client to openssh server), to the traffic when my client connects to the same openssh server. OpenSSH client - OpenSSH server (S for server, C for client): S: SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_5.1p1 Debian-6ubuntu2\r (saying hello) C: SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_5.2\r (introducing myself) C: Key Exchange Init (0x14 = 20) S: Key Exchange Init C: Diffie-Hellman GEX Request (0x22 = 34) (with DH GEX min, number of bits and max) S: Diffie-Hellman Key Exchange Reply (with P, G, etc.) C: Diffie-Hellman GEX Init S: Diffie-Hellman GEX Reply My client - OpenSSH server: S: SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_5.1p1 Debian-6ubuntu2\r (saying hello) C: SSH-2.0-Some_Name\r (introducing myself) C: Key Exchange Init (0x14 = 20) S: Key Exchange Init C: Diffie-Hellman GEX Request (0x22 = 34) (with DH GEX min, number of bits and max) and then a bogus TCP packet as reply (probably the server connection has been terminated after/upon GEX Request. I have yet to use AES128 (which I think is the encryption chosen, but I'm not sure how to verify this...), and I'm still sending in a non-compressed format, looking to get the P, G etc. values to make the DH calculations. So where I'm stranded is: RFC 4419 page 3 http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc4419.txt I've send SSH_MSG_KEY_DH_GEX_REQUEST, but the server does not respond SSH_MSG_KEX_DH_GEX_GROUP. Can anyone give me a little advice on what I'm not understanding here? Does the server not understand my GEX request (due to it expecting encryption, or?)? I have no idea how to do that. Lets say I hover the first img.p - it should highlight hello world and text. and nothing else. And now the worst part - I need the backgrounds to disappear on mouseleave. I need it to work with any HTML mess possible. The above is just an example and structure of the documents will differ. [tip. Processing the whole html before binding hover and putting some spans etc. is ok as long as it doesn't change the looks of the output document]

• Why does std::cout convert volatile pointers to bool?

  If you try to cout a volatile pointer, even a volatile char pointer where you would normally expect cout to print the string, you will instead simply get '1' (assuming the pointer is not null I think). I assume output stream operator<< is template specialized for volatile pointers, but my question is, why? What use case motivates this behavior? • Perl, share package variable without Export

  I'm creating a group of Perl scripts, and I would like to have one package store a group of constants. I don't want to export them using Exporter because there will be quite a few and I don't want to pollute the namespace. Since there will be so many, I don't want to require the user to be forced to manually specify which they will be using. I think the best way to just use the packagename::var syntax, however it doesn't seem to be working as I expect it to. My question is two-fold: In what ways does the given code not correspond to modern Perl best practices? Be harsh! :-) How would you clean it up?

• Using "Object.create" instead of "new"

  Javascript 1.9.3 / ECMAScript 5 introduces Object.create, which Douglas Crockford amongst others has been advocating for a long time. How do I replace new in the code below with Object.create? var UserA = function(nameParam) { this.id = MY_GLOBAL.nextId(); this.name = nameParam; } UserA.prototype.sayHello = function() { console.log('Hello '+ this.name); } var bob = new UserA('bob'); bob.sayHello(); (Assume MY_GLOBAL.nextId exists). The best I can come up with is: var userB = { init: function(nameParam) { this.id = MY_GLOBAL.nextId(); this.name = nameParam; }, sayHello: function() { console.log('Hello '+ this.name); } }; var bob = Object.create(userB); bob.init('Bob'); bob.sayHello(); There doesn't seem to be any advantage, so I think I'm not getting it. I'm probably being too neo-classical. How should I use Object.create to create user 'bob'?

• How to use URLClassLoader to load a *.class file?

  I'm playing around with Reflection and I thought I'd make something which loads a class and prints the names of all fields in the class. I've made a small hello world type of class to have something to inspect: kent@rat:~/eclipsews/SmallExample/bin$ ls IndependentClass.class kent@rat:~/eclipsews/SmallExample/bin$ java IndependentClass Hello! Goodbye! kent@rat:~/eclipsews/SmallExample/bin$ pwd /home/kent/eclipsews/SmallExample/bin kent@rat:~/eclipsews/SmallExample/bin$ Based on the above I draw two conclusions: It exists at /home/kent/eclipsews/SmallExample/bin/IndependentClass.class It works! How do I fix it? Is there a way to load several class files and iterate over them?
