  • jquery delay() doesn't delay attr() in the queue

    hi, what is wrong in this code? I'm trying to get this effect: fadeOut(500) and attr('class','myClass') delayed by 600 millisecs.. then delay(600) again, and fadeIn(500). The delays happen correctly but the attr() is not being delayed, it fires when #myDiv is still fading! :'( $('#myDiv').fadeOut(500).delay(600).attr('class','myClass').delay(600).fadeIn(500); many thanks in advance for any suggestions!   • Problem in vertical navigation menu using css sprites

    Hello all I am trying to create to a vertical navigation menu using CSS sprites. I want to put in it a hover effect where the menu option slides out a bit. a:link { background: url(images/nav.png); background-position: -100px 0px; width: 150px; } a:hover { background: url(images/nav.png); background-position: -100px 0px; width: 160px; } So I am using the same image, I am just increasing its size to create a pop out effect. But my problem is that right now the image's size is increasing to the right. I want to keep the image's base aligned and its head should pop out. (coming from a Linq to SQL database field) A horrible code example to achieve the effect: Html.Encode(Model.fieldName).Replace("&lt;br /&gt;", "<br />") What would be really nice is to overload something and pass to it an array (or object) full of allowed html tags.

I've gone from trying to include it in an existing site to stripping it right back to a very basic form and it's still not functioning. I think I've exhausted all the "Try this..." options I can find, everything from adding in [ScriptMethod] to changing things in Web.Config. Is there anything obviously wrong with this code?   • Specify additional files to clean when doing a "make clean" with autoconf

    I am using autoconf. Right now I have an intermediate .cpp file that is generated. I want to have the .cpp file deleted when I do a "make clean". I tried specifying the file in a CONFIG_CLEAN_FILES variable, but that only takes effect when I do a make distlclean. Is there a variable to set to delete the file when I do a make clean? If not, how do I do it? Thanks

    I created very simple Context Menu using Shell Extension in C#. It works fine under Windows XP 32 bit but under Windows 7 64 bits menu items not appearing. I tried to build Setup output to x64 but no effect. Simple Source contains ContextMenu and Setup project is under http://bit.ly/9nGd41 Looks like Wow6432 should be handled by Setup project, same for registration and adding to Global Assembly Cache I would be appreciate for help / suggestions with this issue.

  • Jquery galleria - make the first image in the gallery appear automatically

    I've added the excellent galleria-plugin to a website I'm working on. However unlike the demo, I've been unable to make the first image display automatically on page-load. Currently, you have to click an image, before one will appear, after that everything works as expected. And yes, I've tried setting the class of the first image to "active", but without that having any effect. Is there anything obvious I'm missing ?     I utilize a UILongPressGestureRecognizer in my app. This is a continuous gesture recognizer which means it continuously fires the selector for the target it was initialized with. I would like the selector to be fired only once. I have tried to prevent further selectors being fired by setting the gesture recognizer's enabled property to Note the first time the selector is fired, but this only takes effect after the selector is fired again. How can I ensure the selector is fired only once?

  • TestDriven.net, right click, run test, doesn't re-build

    I am using testDriven.net and when I right-click and run tests, it appears to build, then runs the test. Only it doesn't really do the build. I keep making changes and the test still fails:) I have to do a VS Build, then run the testDriven.net to get changes to take effect. This clears up for a while if I delete the solution's .SUO file. Any thoughts?

    I am using Box2d for a topdown game. The "ground" is a series of tiles, where each tile is a static body with a sensor shape. Can I make friction take effect for this, even though the objects aren't really "colliding" with the ground? If Box2d won't let me do this, I considered trying to implement my own by detecting what force is currently moving the object, and applying a force opposite to it, but I'm not quite sure how to detect that force.
