  • MYSQL Select and group by date

    I'm not sure how create a right query to get the result I'm looking for. What I have is 2 tables. first has ID, Name columns and second has date and adminID, which is referenced from table 1 column ID. Now, what I want to get is basically number of times each admin loged in per day during the month. From structure like this one I want to get per day and month data so result would be similar to 1, 2, 2 march total 5 for admin 4.   • ExpressionEngine: Why is this {exp:query} tag producing an error?

    Hi. I have this code in place to pull some relation data from the database based on a ID of another weblog entry. The relationship custom field would not work for my situation. I have tested the SQL with MySQL and get no errors. But I get an error when I pull up the page. {exp:query sql="SELECT entry_id,field_id_16,field_id_19 FROM exp_weblog_data WHERE field_id_15='2' AND weblog_id='6'"} Also, I want to populate the “field_id_15” from the url. I have tried using the “segment_*” tag, but nothing. Maybe it is something else. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Josh

  • Different url scheme for Zend Framework

    For our CMS we have a site manager that defines the site's tree structure (sitemap if you want to call it that). A possible url is www.example.com/our-team/developers/chris/ which would map in the tree structure to the node chris, child old developers which is in turn a child of out-team. All this is in place and working the the wonderfully implemented Nested Set behavior in doctrine. The only thing is that i'm struggling to get it working in the front end of our website. By default Zend framework's request object expects controller/action/key/value/key/value/... URI scheme but that isn't quite fitting my needs, i would like to skip the whole controller, action and key part and restrict to values. Something like value1/value2/value3/value4/... Anyone has an idea how to accomplish this?

See how the slash in the key indicates children, and how the order is nested accordingly? And items without orders are simply shifted to the bottom. But also how multiple 'same level' items with the same order are merely sorted by key?

  • Add Facebox To FullCalendar Events

    I have been trying to make the FullCalendar events use Facebox to pop up with information when they are clicked. I have no problem putting the events on the calendar or getting the information that needs to be displayed it is just getting the pop up box to work. I have tried adding rel="facebox" to both the "span" and the "a" that wraps the event title but neither seem to affect it. If anyone has tried this before or knows a possible solution I look forward to hearing from you.

  • Why do I have to unserialize this serialized value twice?

    What am I doing wrong here? I'm serializing a value, storing it in a database (table bb_meta), retrieving it... OK so far... but then I have to unserialize it twice. Shouldn't I be able to just unserialize once?     I'm trying to use file_get_contentsO() to get the response from a server and this error was encountered. Could someone tell me what is the reason and how to fix it? The portion of the code is: $api = "http://smpp5.routesms.com:8080/bulksms/sendsms?username=$username&password=$password&source=$source&destination=$destin&dlr=$dlr&type=$type&message=$message"; $resp = file_get_contents($api); The server responded correctly while I pasted the url in the browser. I learned that this is caused by the server rejecting the client's HTTP version, but I have no idea why that is happening in my case. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance

  • How to arrange business logic in a Kohana 3 project

    I'm looking for advice, tutorials and links at how to set up a mid-sized web application with Kohana 3. I have implemented MVC patterns in the past but never worked against a "formalized" MVC framework so I'm still getting my head around the terminology - toying around with basic examples, building views and templates, and so on. I'm progressing fairly well but I want to set up a real-world web project (one of my own that I've been planning for quite some time now) as a learning object. I learn best by example, but example-based documentation is a bit sparse for Kohana 3 right now - they say so themselves on the site. While I'm not worried about learning the framework as I go along, I want to make sure the code base is healthily structured from the start - i.e. controllers are split nicely, named well and according to standards, and most importantly the business logic is separated into appropriately sized models. My application could, in its core, be described as a business directory with a range of search and listing functions, and a login area for each entry owner. The actual administrative database backend is already taken care of. Supposing I have all the API worked out and in place already - list all businesses, edit business, list businesses by street name, create offer logged in as business, and so on, and I'm just looking for how to fit the functionality into a MVC pattern and into a Kohana application structure that can be easily extended. Do you know real-life examples of "database-heavy" applications like directories, online communities... with a log-in area built on Kohana 3, preferably Open Source so I could take a peek how they do it? Are there conventions or best practices on how to structure an extendable login area for end users in a Kohana project that is not only able to handle a business directory page, but further products on separate pages as well? Do you know any good resources on building complex applications with Kohana? Have you built something similar and could give me recommendations on a project structure?

    We're letting users search a database from a single text input and I'm having difficulties in filtering some user supplied strings. For example, if the user submits: ????????? lcd SONY (Note the ?'s) I need to cancel the search. I include the base64 encoded version of the above string wrapped up so that its easy run: print(base64_decode("1MfLxc/RwdPHIGxjZCBTT05Z")); I've ignored such inputs before but now (am not sure why) just realised the mysql database query is taking nearly forever to execute so this is now on high priority. Another example to highlight that we are using utf-8 and mb_detect_encoding is not helping much: print(base64_decode("zqDOm8+Fzr3PhM63z4HOuc6/IM+Bzr/Phc+HzyU=")); ????t???? ?????% So: how can I detect/filter these inputs? how is this input being generated?

    Hi all, I have got a strange problem about in_array recently which I cannot understand. e.g. $a = array('a','b','c'); $b = array(1,2,3); if (in_array(0,$a)) { echo "a bingo!\n"; } else { echo "a miss!\n"; } if (in_array(0,$b)) { echo "b bingo!\n"; } else { echo "b miss!\n"; } I ran it on my lamp,and got a bingo! b miss! I read the manual and set the third parament $strict as true,then it worked as expected.But does that mean I always need to set the strict parament as true when using in_array?Suggestions would be appreciated. There are different messages for different purposes and we are trying to make the coding easy and understandable for the future. By the way we have different transport classes like e-mail, sms, twitter vs... Now we are doing this but I dont know if there is a better solution. We have a class called H2B_Message_Container_Mail_About_Blablabla it has 4 methods; interface H2B_Message_Mail_Interface { public function setName($name); public function setValue($key, $value); public function getMailBody(); public function getMailSubject(); } and in the mail body there are various variables as expected. before we send the mail, we get the variable values from the database with JSON format and decode it. Then we send it like; $mail = new H2B_Message_Mail(); $mail->setTemplate($newTemplate); $mail->send(); The question is; is there a better way to do this ?

    I've been doing something along the lines of.. $dt1 = '1000-01-01 00:00:00'; //really some val from db $dt2 = '1000-01-01 00:00:10'; //another val maybe db maybe formatted if(strtotime($dt1) > strtotime($dt2){ //do something } Is the strtotime needed? can i do a more direct comparison on the datetime formatted strings? i.e. if($dt1 > $dt2){ //do something } Will that always work?

    Hey guys, I have a WordPress site for a client. He owns a video store, and I made a site for him to update the list of movies, usually just the "new this week" movies. The Pod has a field where you insert the release date. 2010-04-20 Then there is a Pod page/template combo that calls the movies with a certain release date like this: $date = pods_url_variable('last'); He then just creates a blank WP page with the slug 2010-04-20 So when you open that page, the Pod page/template reads that slug and renders a list of the appropriate movies. My problem: I need these to be searchable. Is this possible. I'm also open to suggestions on other ways to go about making this site work. I need it to be as simple as that. Uploads some movies and creates a new page. Then the rest is done automatically. Please and thank you guys
