    I have the following output (via link) which displays the var_dump of some XML im generating: http://bit.ly/aoA3qY At the very bottom of the page you will see some output, generated by this code: foreach ($xml->feed as $entry) { $title = $entry->title; $title2 = $entry->entry->title; } echo $title; echo $title2; For some reason $title2 only outputs once, where there are multiple entries? Im using $xml = simplexml_load_string($data); to create the xml.

E.g. Thing would use 'id' for all of it's other associations but use 'thing_status_id' for it's Status association. How can I best do this?

    Hello all, I am creating my own email tracking system for email marketing tracking. I have been able to determine each persons email client they are using by using the http referrer but for some reason GMAIL does not send a HTTP_REFERRER at all! So I am trying to find another way of identifying when gmail requests a transparent image from my server.     HOWEVER! would setting the $link to my database be one thing that I prolly should use a GLOBAL scope for? In my setting of (lots of functions)...it seems as though having only one variable that is on the global scope would be wise. I am currently using the functions to transfer it back and forth so that way I do not have it on global...but it is a bit of a hinder to my script. Please Advise, Thank you. Matt

Maybe 3 or 4 levels of loop will be outputed. I know this will used RECURSIVE , but i don't know exactly how to code.

  • Zend_Form validation problem

    I am having problems getting validation to work for a form built using Zend_Form. The idea is this: I have two dropdown. One is a list of players. The other is a list of free agents who play the same position as the player. I am using an onChange javascript callback to run some Ajax code that replaces the free agent list dropdown with a new one at the position of the player they've selected from the player dropdown. Now, perhaps this is the wrong way, but I built the form by creating an instance of Zend_Form and then creating all these setX methods that add elements to the form. My reasoning was that I wanted to display certain elements in specific places on the page, not just output $this-form on my template. The problem appears to be when I get the form post back, the validator seems to not know about the validation rule I set up for the free agent drop down. Here's some relevant code to look at. I'm a relative ZF n00b so feel free to tell me I am not doing things the ZF way if it leaps out at you.     if I add an item to the $_COOKIE array as such: setcookie("favorites[]", "value", time()+3600); I can delete any item from the $_COOKIE[favorites] array like this: setcookie("favorites[$deletekey]", "", time()+3600); EXCEPT the first one added so this does not work: setcookie("favorites[0]", "", time()+3600*24); How can I delete the first one and leave others intact?

  • fileinfo and mime types I've never heard of

    I'm not a stranger to mime types but this is strange. Normally, a text file would have been considered to be of text/plain mime but now, after implementing fileinfo, this type of file is now considered to be "text/x-pascal". I'm a little concerned because I need to be sure that I get the correct mime types set before allowing users to upload with it. Is there a cheat sheet that will give me all of the "common" mimes as they are interpreted by fileinfo? Sinan provided a link that lists all of the more common mimes. If you look at this list, you will see that a .txt file is of text/plain mime but in my case, a plain-jane text file is interpreted as text/pascal.

When i try to open a .doc i get the message : file structure is invalid. And when i try to open a jpg : This file can not be opened. It may be corrupt or a file format that Preview does not recognize. But when i download PDF files, they open without any problem. Can someone help me? P.s. i tried different headers including : header('Content-Type: application/octet-stream');

    I have a login form for my website. This login form have two text fields, username and password. Currently I am placing labels(username, password) just before textfields. But now I want to removed these two labels and want to show text(username, password) inside textfield. When user focuses on these textfields then texts should be removed and user can enter his desired username and password. I have also noticed that when user open a login form then font color of text(username, password) populated in textfield(username, password) is of diffent color and when user start typing in that field then previous text is removed and new font color is black. How is it possible?

  • What algorithm should i follow to retrieve data in the prescribed format?

    I have to retrieve data from a database in which tables are consisting of fields like "ttc, rm, atc and lta" namely. Actually these values are stored on daily basis with a 15 min interval like From_time to_time ttc rm atc lta 00:00 00:15 45 10 35 25, 00:15 00:30 35 10 25 25 and so on .. These values are stored for every day of every month and i want it to be previewed in the prescribed format then what algorithm should i follow. I am confused about how to do comparisons for a format like below mentioned. So, to say the least, there may be cases that for two particular days the value of "ttc" would be same for some time so i want it to be listed together (as shown in format). And the confusing part is any of the values "ttc", "rm", "atc", "lta" can be same for any particular interval. So what algorithm should i follow for such comparisons.
