• Defautlt Contoller in CodeIgniter

  Hello everyone, I am wondering if there is any other configuration options for a default controller. For example - if I have a controller called "site" and I set the default controller in the following file: application/config/routes.php to: $route['default_controller'] = "site"; I should be able to go to http://localhost and that brings up the index(); function in the site controller. However, if I try to do go to http://localhost/index.php/index2 to load the index2(); function I get a 404 error. If i change the URL to http://localhost/index.php/site/index2 it works fine - but I thought already set the default controller. Is there any way around this? Any thoughts?

  I want to have a twisted service (started via twistd) which listens to TCP/POST request on a specified port on a specified IP address. By now I have a twisted application which listens to port 8040 on localhost. It is running fine, but I want it to only listen to a certain IP address, say 10.0.0.78. How-to manage that? • Syntax errors on Heroku, but not on local server

  I'm trying to deploy my first app on Heroku (rails 3). It works fine on my local server, but when I pushed it to Heroku and ran it, it crashes, giving a number of syntax errors. These are related to a collection of scopes I use like the one below: scope :scored, lambda { |score = nil| score.nil? ? {} : where('products.votes_count >= ?', score) } it produces errors of this form: "syntax error, unexpected '=', expecting '|' " "syntax error, unexpected '}', expecting kEND" Why is this syntax making Heroku choke and how can I correct it? • What magical thing could be killing my Drupal session and anywhere from 15-45 minutes of activity?

  I am using a standard Drupal install hosted on a LAMP stack. My settings.php has the following set: ini_set('session.gc_probability', 1); ini_set('session.gc_divisor', 100); ini_set('session.gc_maxlifetime', 200000); ini_set('session.cookie_lifetime', 2000000); my php.ini file has: session.gc_probability = 1 session.gc_divisor = 1000 session.gc_maxlifetime = 1440 Also I have checked that the safe mode is off so that my settings.php file is able to override main php.ini variables. Also since the person can get log out at 15 minutes, it is making me wonder whether php.ini has anything to do with it anyways. I have combed through my code and it seems to work fine on my local host however on server it is having issues. Where else can i possibly check?????

• Log On As A Service Permission getting removed

  We have PC's that are in a domain that run a windows service on startup. They continually are having the Log On As A Service permission removed for the domain account that is running the service. So when the PC restarts the service won't run. We can re-add the permission by hand to the Group Policy on the machine or retype the password on the service (which grants the permission) and it runs fine for a day or so. What could be removing it? Could it be a Default Policy that does not have this domain account being applied to the PCs thus removing the Log On As A Service permission?

  I have a "description textarea" inside a form where user may enter a description for an item. This is validated with javascript before the form beeing submitted. One of the validation-steps is this: else if (!fld.value.match(desExp)){ And desExp: var desExp = /^\s*(\w[^\w]*){3}.*$/gm; Now my problem, this works fine on all cases except for descriptions where the description BEGINS with a special character of the swedish language (å, ä, ö). This wont work: åäö hello world But this will: hello world åäö Any fixes? Thanks

• .htaccess setting is not working on Google Chrome

  I would like to send a html string with a GET request like this with Apaches HttpClient: http://sample.com/?html=<html><head>... This doesnt work at the moment, i think its an encoding problem. Do you have any ideas how to do that? method.setQueryString(new NameValuePair[] {new NameValuePair("report", "<html>....")}); client.executeMethod(method) This fails with org.apache.commons.httpclient.NoHttpResponseException: The server localhost failed to respond. If i replace "<html>" by "test.." it works fine. EDIT It seams to be a problem of URL length after encoding, the server doesnt except such long URls. Sending it as POST solves the problem.

  I want to have a pivot with many PivotItems. However, doing so will impact memory. So I bind pivot to my ViewModel, which has 3 item, and pivot will generate 3 PivotItems. My ViewModel is of type ObservableCollection and my item does implement INotifyPropertyChanged. This works fine. But when I update my ViewModel, only the current PivotItem, and the right PivotItem is updated. The left PivotItem, which is off screen, is not updated. You can see it when you drag pivot to the left. How to fix this? Or WP7 doesnot update off screen PivotItem ?

  I use the following query: select * from A LEFT JOIN B on ( A.t_id != B.t_id) to get all the records in A that are not in B. The results are fine except when table B is completely empty, but then I do not get any records, even from table A. Later It wont work yet! Now, if I run the same test alone from reSharper the output is fine and does not repeat. However, if I run this test along side 2 other tests in the same class, the output is repeated three times. I am totally confused. What the hell is going on here?

  I am working with the TimeSerial sketch (an example in the Arduino Time library). Everything works fine, and I can get it to output the time continuously. I am trying to set a switch which will read in a serial.read(). For example, I send 1 through the serial monitor, my sketch reads the one and runs a function I've created called resetfunc() which all it does is end serial and go back up to setup. It then asks me to enter the T and time stamp but doesn't wait and just keeps printing time. Why is it still doing this? When I haven't sent it the T and timestamp through serial yet?

However, when I run my load test through the visual studio GUI, I never get a BSOD. two questions: is it possible to avoid this BSOD? Is there another way I can schedule my load test? Thanks

  Hello, I'm walking through the FrontStore series tutorial on TDD in MVC (Part 3 by Rob Conery/ASP.NET). The test I'm concerned with is the CatalogRepository_Each_Category_Contains_5_Products(). Until I get to that test, everything was working fine. Now, I've gone through every line that makes this test (including the test itself, the TestCatalogRepository, ...). I've also compared my code to that of Rob, but the test keeps failing. I also checked the source code from CodePlex, that test was not there. Now, I wonder if I can put a break point somewhere to check the local values as the test is being executed? If not, something similar? Thanks for helping.

  I'm adding some textboxes to a form dynamically at runtime. Everything works fine i.e. the textboxes are aligned, anchored and automatically resizes until the form is maximized. On maximizing the form, the textboxes are added to the same location while the form was not maximized. This causes a misalignment of the textboxes. How can I ensure that all the textboxes are at the same location and of the same size both while the windowstate is normal as well as maximized? EDIT: Btw I'm using C# EDIT: Would a flowlayoutpanel be useful here?

  Hi, I have a strange problem happening today. I am running the latest version of the MVC V2 framework and have been having no trouble at all - I came in this morning and for some reason values aren't being passed in to actions.   Hi, Basically, I have a listbox which contains a set of listboxitem (stacked horizontally). On selected listboxitem, there will be dropshadoweffect applied to the border of the listboxitem. The problem i am having at the moment is the dropshadopeffect on the left hand side is covering (on top of) the left listboxitem. This is fine for me, however the dropshadoweffect on the right hand side of the listboxitem is covered by (below) the right listboxitem. Is there a way to make them consistent? so that both sides' dropshadoweffect will appear on top of the left and right listboxitems. Please let me know if you need more information. Any help would be appreciated.

  I've used TFS for about 18 months now and I'm really not excited about it. It seems like the worst of the current versions of SCMs on the market. I think this thread will help people decide if TFS is for them vs. other source control systems. While TFS does a lot more than that, I think that source control is so critical to software development that any system (or combination thereof) that you pick needs to consider source control first. What are the good things about TFS vs. other source controls -- what does it do well that no one else does? What are the things that TFS is bad at that everyone else seems to do just fine?
