  • SEO google keyword position tools?

    Hi guys, I want to check our google postions for several keywords every day and make a note in a spreadseet. At the moment, we have a student doing it but it's a rubbish job and it doesn't seem fair on them! Are there any tools available to automate this process? I have tried rankchecker by seobook.com, but although that should be exactly what im looking for when i set scheduled tasks in that, it doesnt work. Any tips would be appreciated, thanks! peter EDIT: Liam has suggested a Python script to do this, which unfortunately isnt something I'm very familiar with! If anyone knows of a good tutorial or something to help us with this, that would be brilliant. Update: Found a php script at seoscript.net which looks like a step in the right direction. But I cant get it to work! I get this error. Anyone more knowledgabe than me know how to fix that? I have PEAR installed. thanks again, Peter

    I thought my days of dealing with DBFs as a "production data" source were over, but HA (no such luck). I recently had to retrieve, modify and replace some data that needed to be delivered in a DBF file. Everything was fine until I realized / remembered the DBF driver does not ACTUALLY delete records from the data source -- it only marks them for deletion.  You are responsible for handling the "chaff" either by using a utility to remove deleted records or by simply ignoring them.  If imported into Excel, the marked-deleted records are ignored, but the file size will reflect the extra content.  After several rounds of testing CRUD, the output DBF was huge. So, I went hunting for a method to "Pack" the records (removing deleted ones and resizing the DBF file) and eventually ran across the FOXPRO driver at ( http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/vfoxpro/bb190233.aspx ).  Once installed, I changed the DSN in the code to the new one I created in the ODBC Administrator and ran some tests.  Using MSQuery, I simply tested the raw SQL command Pack {tablename} and it WORKED! One really neat thing is the PACK command is used like regular SQL instructions; "Pack {tablename}" is all that is needed.   • How can I install the BlackBerry v5.0.0 component pack into Eclipse?

    I'm trying to install the latest v5.0.0 "beta 2" BlackBerry OS Component Pack into Eclipse 3.4.2 with BlackBerry Eclipse plugin v1.0.0.67, but have hit a few problems. Has anybody found an easy way to do this? I had no trouble installing the v4.5.0 and v4.7.0 Component Packs. It's rather strange that BlackBerry are shipping new phones with the v5.0.0 OS installed (e.g. a Storm 2 9550 and Bold 9700 that I just bought), and pushing that update to phones whilst the BlackBerry website still considers the v5.0.0 SDK / Component Packs to be "beta 2"! If anybody knows when an official non-beta Component Pack is going to be released that might solve my problem... In case it helps, the problems I've hit so far are: -Contrary to the implication on the BlackBerry website, the Eclipse "Software Update..." option for the v5.0.0 Component Pack claims it only works on the v1.0.0 Eclipse BlackBerry plugin, not the new v1.1 one. -I then tried to install the v5.0.0 Component Pack through the "Software Updates..." menu in Eclipse using the v1.0.0 Eclipse BlackBery plugin. Once I'd done the 200MB download the install failed with a "Invalid zip file format" error. -I might just have been unlucky with a corrupted download but I did try it twice, once through "Software Updates..." and once by selecting "Archive" to install the downloaded Component Pack (which unlike v4.5.0 and v4.7.0 was a JAR, not a ZIP).

  • Cant get flexigrid to work in Jquery Tools Tab

    Im fairly new to jquery and Im using jquery tools for tabs. I am wanting in one of the tabs to show flexigrid, but when I try to do this flexigrid does not show up, its just blank.   • How do I use the Windows API Code Pack in VB.net 2010 Express?

    Hi all, I recently downloaded the Windows API code pack for .net, and seeing there was VB.net examples inside there, I opened them up. Upon building I get a warning that the referenced components 'Core' and 'Shell' could not be found. Looking in the code pack folder I see there are no DLLs at all, but instead a whole load of C# sources. Do I have to download C# Express (which I want to avoid) to use the code pack or are there precompiled DLLs somewhere?

But some times when I use the html tidy pack then that web page has changes like : If original table is <table><tr><td>first row</td></table> After using html tidy pack the table is : <table> is now &lt table &gt. But I want like <table>. In this particular example it works perfectly but in some html page it replace &lt instead of <and &gt instead of >.

In fact, this doesn't show up in Firebug... I'm only seeing it for the first time now in IE8 Developer Tools. Does anyone know what jQuery uses this for, and why it's hidden in firebug?

    I have implemented a Java Swing component that implements Printable. If I add the component to a JFrame, and do this.pack(); on the JFrame, it prints perfect. But if I don't add the component to a JFrame, just a blank page is printed. This code gives a great printout: final PrintablePanel p = new PrintablePanel(pageFormat); new JFrame() {{ getContentPane().add(p); this.pack(); }}; job.setPrintable(p, pageFormat); try { job.print(); } catch (PrinterException ex) { System.out.println("Fail"); } But this code gives a blank page: final PrintablePanel p = new PrintablePanel(pageFormat); // new JFrame() {{ getContentPane().add(p); this.pack(); }}; job.setPrintable(p, pageFormat); try { job.print(); } catch (PrinterException ex) { System.out.println("Fail"); } I think that this.pack(); is the big difference. How can I do pack() on my printable component so it prints fine, without adding it to a JFrame? The panel is using several LayoutManagers. I have tried with p.validate(); and p.revalidate(); but it's not working. Any suggestions? Or do I have to add it to a hidden JFrame before I print the component?

  • What is a good free ODBC viewer?

    At my job I have to work with three different databases. One is a SQL Server 2008, for which I use SQL Server Management Studio, and another is MySQL, for which I use the MySQL tools. The third however is a Cache database that I can only access through a ODBC connection. Currently I use the SLIK software ODBC View tool to access it, but it is severely lacking when compared with the other two tools. Can anyone recommend a good tool for this type of work?

    I have just created a VM in VMWare and installed a minimal install of Oracle Enterprise Linux 6.3. # cat /etc/oracle-release Oracle Linux Server release 6.3 It is running with the UEK kernel. # uname -r 2.6.39-200.24.1.el6uek.x86_64 When I try and install VMWare Tools, I get the following error. Searching for a valid kernel header path... The path "" is not a valid path to the 2.6.39-200.24.1.el6uek.x86_64 kernel headers. Would you like to change it?   • Is the Microsoft Surface restricted to Chinese display language in China and Hong Kong

    I currently live in China so my only options to buy a Surface tablet is to buy it here or in Hong Kong. Problem is that by default the entire UI is in Chinese. In the x86 version of Windows 8 you can install additional language packs to solve this, but I'm wondering if this is true for the tablet as well In the shop (Sunning) they will not let me try that, and if I buy one and it turns out you can't install language packs than I'm pooched. Can't find any official information on it either, at least nothing that refers to the tablet directly. (and whether or not the Chinese version is restricted in some way)

  • Copying Chinese Characters from PDF

    I am on a Windows 7 laptop, which I believe comes pre installed with all the language packs to my knowledge. I can see Chinese characters with no issues and normally can copy them fine. (From browser to Microsoft Office works great). I have many PDFs with chinese characters in them, whenever I try to copy them and paste them into another program such as a browser, Microsoft Office, ect I just get strange foreign characters such as: This is copying a line. It is in this order: Chinese characters, pinyin (chinese in roman letters), and then the Englis translation. ,ô t¯ing w?o shu¯o listen to me The pinyin is also getting messed up, as the tonal marks (accents) about each letter are moving to a space of their own. Any ideas on to how to fix this? Thank you very much!
