I am on a Windows 7 laptop, which I believe comes pre installed with all the language packs to my knowledge. I can see Chinese characters with no issues and normally can copy them fine. (From browser to Microsoft Office works great). I have many PDFs with chinese characters in them, whenever I try to copy them and paste them into another program such as a browser, Microsoft Office, ect I just get strange foreign characters such as:

This is copying a line. It is in this order: Chinese characters, pinyin (chinese in roman letters), and then the Englis translation.

The pinyin is also getting messed up, as the tonal marks (accents) about each letter are moving to a space of their own.

Any ideas on to how to fix this?
