  • SSIS to copy data from one table to another, where not in destination table

    I'm in the process of creating an SSIS package on a server (server1) that looks at the data in a sql db on another site (server2) and copies relevant rows across. The SQL statement required is: SELECT * FROM server2.ordersTable WHERE OrderID Not In (SELECT OrderID FROM server1.ordersTable This selects data from server1 which isn't in the table on server2 (based on order id) I then need to insert the result into a table on server1 How would I approach this? What components do I need etc...?

  • How to get a category listing from Magento?

    I want to create a page in Magento that shows a visual representation of the categories.. example CATEGORY product 1 product 2 ANOTHER CATEGORY product 3 My problem is, their database is organised very differently to what I've seen in the past. They have tables dedicated to data types like varchar, int, etc. I assume this is for performance or similiar. I haven't found a way to use MySQL to query the database and get a list of categories. I'd then like to match these categories to products, to get a listing of products for each category. Unfortunately Magento seems to make this very difficult. Also I have not found a method that will work from within a page block.. I have created showcase.phtml and put it in the XML layout and it displays and runs it's PHP code. I was hoping for something easy like looping through $this-getAllCategories(); and then a nested loop inside with something like $category-getChildProducts(); Can anyone help me? Thank you!

    Is it possible to get the name of a node using minidom? for example i have a node: <heading><![CDATA[5 year]]></heading> what i'm trying to do is store the value heading so that i can use it as a key in a dictionary, the closest i can get is something like [<DOM Element: heading at 0x11e6d28>] i'm sure i'm overlooking something very simple here, thanks!

    I have a header menu and try to define different CSS classes for each item. This is what I have: 20 = HMENU 20 { special = directory special.value = 107 1 = TMENU 1 { wrap = <ul class="foo" id="mymenu">|</ul> expAll = 1 NO = 1 NO.allWrap = <li class="first menu_{field:uid}">|</li> || <li class="menu_{field:uid}">|</li> || <li class="last menu_{field:uid}">|</li> } } But in the HTML output I simply get class="first menu_{field:uid}" and nothing is replaced.

  • Is there any way I can use two monitors in the console in Linux?

    I have recently become the proud owner of two monitors in my workspace. (Ok not owner, but you know what I mean) and I'd like to use both of them at once. Problem is, I much much prefer to use a Linux Server console over a desktop environment. The graphics card on the machine is a GTX295 (don't ask why, it's a long story.) so I essentially have two graphics cards. Each has a DVI output. Is there any way I can get the console to stretch across two screens? Or will I have to install a desktop Ubuntu for this to work?

  • Reference variable to an object instantiated/initialized in another class in Java

    The reason I'm asking is because I'm getting NullPointerException. I now this is very easy but I'm pretty new programming and find this a bit confusing. So say I have initialized an object in a class and want to access that same object from another class. Like now for instance I'm working on a small Chess game, in my model Game class I have an instance of Board, an object. Board, in turn, has an array of Squares. Square[][]. Game has board, board has Square[][]. Now if I want to access the Square[][] through the object board (in Game) of type Board. Do I just declare a variable with the same name and type or do I have to initialize it again? Board board OR Board board = new Board(); Note, I have already initialized board in the class Game so if I do it again, won't they be two totally different Board objects?

  • Can someone explain Kohana 3's routing system?

    In bootstrap.php, where you set routes, I'm having a hard time getting them to work. I read some documentation a while ago that I can't seem to find again that explains them. Here is one of my examples Route::set('products', 'products/(type)', array('type' => '.+')) ->defaults(array( 'controller' => 'articles', 'action' => 'view_product', 'page' => 'shock-absorbers', )); I thought that would mean a request like products/something would load up the articles controller, and the action_view_product method. But I can't get it to work. Can someone please explain to me exactly how they work, and what all the method parameters are?

  • Why does Perl lose foreign characters on Windows; can this be fixed (if so, how)?

    Note below how ã changes to a. NOTE2: Before you blame this on CMD.EXE and Windows pipe weirdness, see Experiment 2 below which gets a similar problem using File::Find. The particular problem I'm trying to fix involves working with image files stored on a local drive, and manipulating the file names which may contain foreign characters. The two experiments shown below are intermediate debugging steps. The ã character is common in latin languages. e.g. http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cão Experiment 1 Experiment 2 To get around my particular problem, I tried using File::Find instead of piped input.   • Not found in protocol

    I've subclassed MKAnnotation so that i can assign objects to annotations and then assign this object to a view controller like so: - (void)mapView:(MKMapView *)mapView annotationView:(MKAnnotationView *)view calloutAccessoryControlTapped:(UIControl *)control { PlaceDetailView *detailView = [[PlaceDetailView alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewStyleGrouped]; detailView.place = [view.annotation place]; [self.navigationController pushViewController:detailView animated:YES]; [detailView release]; } This is working great but i'm having the following issues: If i try and access the place getter method like so view.annotation.place i recieve an error: Accessing unknown place getter method If i acces the place getter method like so [view.annotation place] i receive a warning: place not found in protocol From my understanding this is because the place object is not defined in the MKAnnotation protocol, although i'm aware of this i'm not sure how to tell the complier that place does exist and it's not calling it blind.

  • how to populate the tables within xmlDataDocument.DataSet

    Hi all: I am working on a C# application that involves using XML schema file as databases for message definitions and XML file as databases for message data. I was following the example I found:http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.xml.xmldatadocument.dataset%28v=VS.100%29.aspx I wrote my own xsd and XML file. I used the same approach in the example, read the xsd file and then load the xml file. But I don't have any "Rows" created for my DataTable. I used debugger to step through my codes. When I am get my DataTable use xmlDataDocument.DataSet.Tables["name of the table"], the Rows property of that tables is 0. Does anybody know what might cause the DataSet tables not get populated after I loaded the xmlDataDocument with XML file?     Hi, I'm using java servlets and jsp in my application and I need to read the remote XML file and properly render it into HTML and display on a web page...What is the technology used for reading process?Should I use HTTPURLConnection class to read the contents of the xml file or there is some other way? And also,if I use servlet as a controller and JSP as a view,what would be the responsibility of servlet and jsp in this process?Should servlet just read the whole XML file and then just pass the read output to JSP which will just print it and render properly using XSL for example?   • Help adding a backgroundView to UITableViewCell

    I'm getting really desperate trying to add a UIImageView to UITableViewCell.backgroundView. All my efforts have resulted in this crappy rendering: It looks like the cell's label's white background is sitting on top of cell's background and covering portions of it. I tried setting the label's background color to clear, or some other color and it does not have any event. It is always white. The reason I know it's the text label's background causing this white area is that if I don't do [cell setText:@"Cell text here"]; the white area is gone and I see just the cell's background image. Here's the code that I'm using.   • Is it possible to make the iPhone keyboard invisible / remove it without resigning first responder?

    I am looking for a way to show my own input view (a UITableView) to enter certain keywords in a UITextView faster than typing them, and also be able to type into this text view the normal way. My solution has a button that causes the keyboard to disappear, revealing the table view underneath it. Problem is I can't figure out how to make the keyboard go away without resigning first responder, and losing the cursor. Has anyone accomplished this before? Thanks for any help.

    Hey all, I'm practicing Jquery and I've written this simple Jquery statement: var someText = $("table tr td").text(); Should this not return all text of td elements found within tr's that are found within tables? How do I fix this? Currently when I run this, it says that table tr td is null, but I have a table on the page I'm testing on. Thanks!

  • Best way to create Default.png image for iPhone app

    Originally I though I'll just take a screenshot of my app on the iPhone then tweak it in Photoshop. The images should be 480 x 320 according to Apple doc, and the dimensions of my screenshot are 480 x 320. But, the screenshot contains notification area (where reception bars, battery life, etc. are displayed) So, if I chop that part off my image will be a bit shorter and not 480px high. What do I do? Submit a shorter image? Stretch it up so it's 480px but without the notification bar? Submit it with the notification bar in the image? How did you create your Default.png?

  • Sending floating point values between processes with pipes in C

    Is there a standard way of sending floating point values from a child process to a parent process in C. I have a some calculations where I want to fork a process, then have the child do some busy work, the parent do something else, and then the child send its values (which are doubles) back to the parent (presumably through a pipe). Clearly the parent could parse the stream, but I'm just wondering if there's a cleaner way?
