    Hey, I kind of understand what's retain counts for. But not totally. I looked on google a lot to try to understand but still I don't. And now I'm in a bit of code (I'm doing iPhone development) that I think I should use them but don't know totally how. Could someone give me a quick and good example of how and why using them?   • Unfamiliar Javascript Syntax

    Long and short of the story is, whilst reading John Resig's blog (specifically http://ejohn.org/blog/javascript-trie-performance-analysis/) I came across a line which makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever. Essentially it boils down to object = object[key] = something; (this can be found in the first code block of the article I've linked.) This has proven rather difficult to google, so if anyone can offer some insight / a good online resource for me to learn for myself, I'd much appreciate it.

  • Is there a Javascript cron implementation somewhere that I'm missing?

    I'm aware of timing issues in Javascript, how its not exact/off by milliseconds etc, but I need something to at least attempt to do browser-based scheduling. In terms of features, I'm thinking something along the lines of scheduling patterns described here: http://www.sauronsoftware.it/projects/cron4j/manual.php#p02 Anything out there? I've done google searches and haven't found any implementation worth nothing.

Basically something like a Jquery plugin would be ideal so I could simply do $("#myinput").caretPosition() I realise there may by other non-jQuery solutions and these would also be brilliant if anyone has any??

  • Ant variable does not exists in Ubuntu 10.10

    I am trying to set up ANT build. However when I invoke build command helloworld_15/${NAME} does not exist. BUILD FAILED (total time: 0 seconds) Also the configure variables does not seems to be assigned. However i have set them into /etc/envitonment I tried echo $<varaiable_name> and value get displayed. Tried to google but not solutions seems am the first one having this issue. PS: OS Ubuntu 10.10

Maybe I can't find it in the GFV3 manuals, nor can I find it via our friend Google: how to specify XA transactionality using asadmin to configure the factory? Anybody out there know how?

  • In gzip libary, what's the difference between 'uncompress' and 'gzopen' ?

    There are some functions to decompress in zlib library(zlib version 1.2.3) I want to decompress my source zip(.gz) file using 'uncompress' function. It is now working(error code -3) but gzopen is. It is still not working when I input payload pointer(passing gzip header) to 'uncompress' . So the question is "What's the valid arguments for uncompress function?" and If it needs different format, how can I make it? Google doesn't helpful this time :(

    Hi, I've done a far bit of research on this via Google and there seems to be quite a few ways of possibly doing this. I'm looking to incrementally backup new and updated files in two directories on my Plesk run Centos 5.2 server: /backups and /var/www/vhosts (preferable only httdocs within each vhost) Has anyone got some great feedback from using the various solutions - seems to be various Java, Perl and Ruby based solutions out there.     Is there a way to develop iPhone applications on Windows? I really don't want to get yet another machine. There is a project on http://code.google.com/p/winchain/wiki/HowToUse that seemed to work with iPhone 1.0, but had limited success with iPhone 2.0, plus it requires all the cygwin insanity. Is there anything else, or do I have to buy a mac?
