  • Downloading a web page and all of its resource files in Python

    I want to be able to download a page and all of its associated resources (images, style sheets, script files, etc) using Python. I am (somewhat) familiar with urllib2 and know how to download individual urls, but before I go and start hacking at BeautifulSoup + urllib2 I wanted to be sure that there wasn't already a Python equivalent to "wget --page-requisites http://www.google.com". Specifically I am interested in gathering statistical information about how long it takes to download an entire web page, including all resources. Thanks Mark

Could anyone recommend a book(s) that would thoroughly explore various string algorithms?     I have a merging conflict, using Mercurial 1.0.2: merging test.h warning: conflicts during merge. merging test.h failed! 6 files updated, 0 files merged, 0 files removed, 1 files unresolved There are unresolved merges, you can redo the full merge using: hg update -C 19 hg merge 18 I can't figure out how to resolve this. Google search results instruct to use: hg resolve but for some reason my Mercurial (v1.0.2) doesn't have a resolve command: hg: unknown command 'resolve' How can I resolve this conflict?

I would like to send this XML to some file and prompt the user to save it on their disk (all this happens in the browser at the client, no server interaction whatsoever). Is this at all possible?   • Android runs OpenGL ES 1.1 or 1.0?

    I'm developing a native app for Android and I'm trying to use functions such as glIsEnabled which appear to be only available in OpenGL ES 1.1. Google's docs claim that NDK 1.6R1 supports OpenGL ES v1.1 but the function call fails with "unimplemented Open GL ES API" and if i do a glGetString(GL_VERSION) it returns "OpenGL ES 1.0 CM" as the version. So if 1.1 is available, what do I have to link against to get it or what else do i need to change to get it?

    Is there any way to set one job priority higher then other, In my case there are two jobs those are working on same set of tables,first JOB-A which is running every 12 hr and other JOB-B is every 10 minutes , i think at some time when they run simultaneously JOB-B is getting in to deadlock and get failed, i google the topic and found sqlgoverner is helpful in such cases does anyone know how to resolve?

    Hi, I am trying to use 'GetModuleFileNameA' but I keep getting the error 'c4430: missing type specifier - int assumed'. From reading the results from my google search I am guessing that it is from my use of NULL: char Filename[MAX_PATH]; //this is a char buffer GetModuleFileNameA(NULL, Filename, sizeof(Filename)); NULL is supposedly defined in #include stdio.h which I have included in my project, what am I doing wrong? Thanks.

  • AppleScript to click "Don't Save" on window close

    I am using AppleScript to close windows in Google Sketchup as follows: $ osascript -e 'tell application "SketchUp" to close window 1' When I close the window, the program prompts me to save, and there is a dialog box with buttons "Don't Save", "Cancel", and "Save...". How do I make my script click on the "Don't Save" button in this situation? Also, if there is a better way of closing the window, I'm all ears.

I'm getting this error when trying to access to any of the provided methods The HTTP request is unauthorized with client authentication scheme 'Negotiate'. Now, I got the following (nested) object: obj: { subObj: { 'hello world' } }; next thing I do is to reference the subobject like this: var s = obj.subObj; now what I would like to do, is to get a reference to the object obj out of the variable s. Something like: var o = s.parent; Is this somehow possible?
