  • CSS3 new features...whats the point?

    I've been reading a lot of ways recently of how to avoid having to use Photoshop for things like gradients and shadows on buttons, when you can use CSS3 Box Shadow for such features. Now this is great, but obviously legacy browsers and most IE browsers don't yet implement CSS3 features, so my question is, why save yourself extra work in Photoshop when you can use CSS3 but then HAVE to use Photoshop for other browsers to see the desired effects? Isn't that just extra work?

    I want to be able to edit and delete resources myself, but not allow users of the application to do so. Is there an easy way of doing this in Rails? An incomplete solution would be just to remove the "delete" and "edit" buttons from the index view, but that doesn't disable their ability to do so via direct HTTP requests.     I've got the value of a radio button (r1) and I'm trying to use: $("input:radio[val=r1]").attr('checked', true); to check it. The thing is that I've got three radio buttons in a div, when I check one, the value of the checked button gets stored. When I reload the page I want the page to check the radio button that was chosen last. Thanks!

  • Dynamic content doesn't work when loaded with ajax

    I'm trying to load some dynamic content after the user has logged in, using $.ajax, like so: $.ajax({ url: "functions.php", type: "GET", data: login_info, datatype: 'html', async: false, success: function (response) { $('#main').html(response); } }); The problem is, that some events don't work, when loaded this way. I fixed the buttons with the .live() method, but a sortable list for example, doesn't work. How can I somehow refresh the DOM, and let jquery know of these new added elements? Thanks!

  • Codeigniter not returning me to upload form after image upload.

    I'm still very new to codeigniter. The issue i'm having is that the file uploads fine and it writes to the database without issue but it just doesn't return me to the upload form. Instead it stays in the do_upload and doesn't display anything. Even more bizarrely there is some source code behind the scenes. Can someone tell my what it is i'm doing wrong because I want to be returning to my upload form after submission. Thanks in advance.   • jQuery UI: Dialog button styling

    Is there an easy way to apply CSS/icons to the modal buttons on a jQuery UI modal dialog box? If I include the HTML to display an icon with the button text, it shows the HTML as text rather than rendering the code. I'm guessing I could write some jQuery to find the button and overwrite the HTML with what I want, but I'm hoping there's an easier more direct way.

  • svn says conflicted but it's really merged (TortoiseSVN)

    Lately I've been seeing behavior where after an update svn shows certain files as "conflicted" but when I try to edit the conflicts, there are none (The "next conflict" and "previous conflict" buttons are disabled and if I scroll through the file, none of the lines are marked red). This seems to have started after I started working from a different repository than I had been working with, but I'm not sure if that's related.

  • Kubuntu - Can't move/max/min windows [closed]

    All of a sudden it seems when ever I open a window on my Kubuntu (9.10) system, the windows dock in the upper left corner and can't be moved. There is nor border on the windows, no min/max/close buttons in the upper right corner of the windows. I tried opening a term window but it seems I can't type in the window. I am currently using the following to change the background: LinearLayout mScreen = (LinearLayout) findViewById(R.id.main); mScreen.setBackgroundColor( mycolor ); I tried to use Style's to change the text using: @color/white The problem is that Spinners/Buttons and Spinner-Popup-Lists all change to white text as well, making them unreadable. I have over 20 Classes in my app that all need to be able to change color combination's.

    I have a tab-bar controller that loads a RootView. The RootView has 4 buttons that will load a UITableView I don't want my tab-bar to be visible in the RootView so I added the following code: -(void)viewDidLoad{ self.hidesBottomBarWhenPushed = YES; } When I initially load the app the tab-bar doesn't appear, but when I click on a button, and go back to the RootView the tab-bar still appears. I have tried placing this code in viewWillAppear and other application lifecycle methods but no luck.
