  • Need some help figuring out BB4Win or any of its varieties: does it replace windows explorer?

    I don't really care too much about replacing original Windows the desktop, taskbar and system tray. I really dislike the new Win7/Vista Windows Explorer: Screenshot here (just to make sure there's no confusion) So, what I'm trying to figure out is whether BB4Win or its plugins have a replacement for it. The bb4win website pretty much doesn't make sense to me. I'm using Win7 64 bit. Also, off-topic ... I was looking at a related question on this site here: Good Windows shell replacement Why can't I add comments? I wanted to ask the same question I'm asking now as a comment under the answer given by Molly7244, the person who answered with suggesting BB4Win. But there seems to be no way to add new comments anywhere! Why? Am I missing something? I don't quite understand the weird way this site is set up... I'm used to the more typical forum format. Sorry. Thanks for any help!

    According to Marcin Ciura's Optimal (best known) sequence of increments for shell sort algorithm. The best sequence for shellsort is 1, 4, 10, 23, 57, 132, 301, 701... But how can I generate such a sequence ? In Marcin Ciura's paper he said : Both Knuth’s and Hibbard’s sequences are relatively bad, because they are defined by simple linear recurrences but most algorithm books I searched , they all tend to use Knuth’s sequence : k = 3k + 1 ; because it's easy to generate , what's your way of generating shellsort sequence ?

Ideally, commonly used Java packages like: java.io.* java.util.* should be automatically imported, so that I can copy and paste code from a class without having to add a bunch of imports.     i want to make a script (to) that makes it easier for me to enter folders. so eg. if i type "to apache" i want it to change the current directory to /etc/apache2. however, when i use the "cd" command inside the script, it seems like it changes the path WITHIN the script, so the path in the shell has not changed. how could i make this work?
