    I create a triple DES key from the a byte array ("skBytes") but when calling getEncoded on the triple DES key ("sk") and comparing it to the byte array, they differ! They are almost the same if you look at the console output, though.   • Move 3 rectangles up in their X but keep order of rectangles

    I have 3 rectangles being rendered here. Let's say i wanted to move them all above the line yet keep their order, how would i go about that? I tried subtracting the Y and height rather than adding the Y it but as expected, the lower rectangle goes at the top, middle stays in the middle and top goes to the bottom before: after: So is there any simple solution to render them just above rather than having to change all values ?

  • How to log all sql going through JBoss datasource with log4j

    I've looked at log4jdbc (which does not support datasources), p6spy which seems to be what I am looking for but it has not been updated since 2003 which makes me nervous and lists only JBoss 3.x (we use JBoss 5), and JAMon which seems heavyweight for what I am trying to accomplish (a simple log of all SQL statements running through a JBoss application server). I was hoping that JBoss itself would have a switch to log all the sql (as Websphere does) but I cannot find any documentation for it so that functionality might not exist.

    Currently, each web service for our application has a user parameter that is added for every method. For example: @WebService public interface FooWebService { @WebMethod public Foo getFoo(@WebParam(name="alwaysHere",header=true,partName="alwaysHere") String user, @WebParam(name="fooId") Long fooId); @WebMethod public Result deletetFoo(@WebParam(name="alwaysHere",header=true,partName="alwaysHere") String user, @WebParam(name="fooId") Long fooId); // ... } There could be twenty methods in a service, each with the first parameter as user. And there could be twenty web services. We don't actually use the 'user' argument in the implementations - in fact, I don't know why it's there - but I wasn't involved in the design, and the person that put it there had a reason (I hope). Anyway, I'm trying to straighten out this Big Ball of Mud. I have already come a long way by wrapping the web services by a Spring proxy, which allows me to do some before-and-after processing in an interceptor (before there were at least 20 lines of copy-pasted boiler plate per method). I'm wondering if there's some kind of "message header" I can apply to the method or package and that can be accessed by some type of handler or something outside of each web service method.   • Eclipse won't believe I have Maven 2.2.1

    I have a project (built from an AppFuse template) that requires Maven 2.2.1. So I upgraded to this (from 2.1.0) and set my path and my M2_HOME and MAVEN_HOME env variables. Then I ran mvn eclipse:eclipse and imported the project into Eclipse (Galileo). However, in the problems list for the project (and at the top of the pom.xml GUI editor) it says: Unable to build project '/export/people/clegg/data/GanymedeWorkspace/funcserve/pom.xml; it requires Maven version 2.2.1 (Please ignore 'GanymedeWorkspace', I really am using Galileo!) This persists whether I set Eclipse to use its Embedded Maven implementation, or the external 2.2.1 installation, in the Preferences - Maven - Installations dialog. I've tried closing and reopening the project, reindexing the repository, cleaning the project, restarting the IDE, logging out and back in again, everything I can think of! But Eclipse still won't believe I have Maven 2.2.1. I just did a plugin update so I have the latest version of Maven Integration for Eclipse -- 0.9.8.200905041414. Does anyone know how to convince Eclipse I really do have the right version of Maven? It's like it's recorded the previous version somewhere else and won't pay any attention to my changes :-( Many thanks! Andrew.

    I used myPanel.setLayout(new BoxLayout(myPanel, BoxLayout.Y_AXIS)); to order panels vertically (one under another one). But myPanel defined in the shown way change the included panel. In more details, it tries to set the same hight and width for the included panels. Can it be changed? Can BoxLayout adopt size of the included elements?

How do I call the start() method of Car class using the same object so that the output can be Car Started!!!. Edit: Actually It was asked in an interview I attended. I gave the super keyword answer. But the interviewer denied it. He said he'd give me a hint and said Virtual Function. I have no idea how to use that hint.

I have researched on few options sometime back but couldn't decide which one to use. I am looking for suggestions from the people who already used these tools. docbook: springframework and hibernate use this format and this looks good. but I believe they have customized the default xslt/stylesheet. Can I copy and use their xslt and css (ofcourse with colors and images changed). Can I integrate the doc generation using maven? wiki: this is not friendly to the technical document writers and the documentation doesn't look professional. versioning is also not possible I believe word docs: this is what we use currently but it is hard to link and reuse common documents.     From the javadoc for Session it states: A Session object is a single-threaded context for producing and consuming messages. So I understand that you shouldn't use a Session object from two different threads at the same time. What I'm unclear on is if you could use the Session object (or children such as a Queue) from a different thread than the one it created. In the case I'm working on, I'm considering putting my Session objects into a pool of available sessions that any thread could borrow from, use, and return to the pool when it is finished with it. Is this kosher? (Using ActiveMQ BTW, if that impacts the answer at all.)

    Artifacts from dependencies can be excluded by declaring an <exclusions> element inside a <dependency> But in this case it's needed to exclude an artifact inherited from a parent project.   • Websphere 6.1, Datasource, two apps

    Hi, I've got a webapp running on a Websphere 6.1 Server which JNDI lookups for a datasource. This webapp runs fine, the Websphere server recognizes the datasource ref in the web.xml etc.. Now we added a second webapp which should use this datasource with same configuration but I only getting a NULL Object when I invoke my JNDI lookup and a ClassCastException is thrown (which is correct). Maybe one of you has some suggestions?

Their properties file is like this: log4j.rootCategory= FILE !-----------FILE--------------! log4j.category.FILE=DEBUG log4j.appender.FILE=org.apache.log4j.RollingFileAppender log4j.appender.FILE.File=${catalina.base}/logs/rcweb.log log4j.appender.FILE.MaxFileSize=1024KB log4j.appender.FILE.MaxBackupIndex=10 log4j.appender.FILE.layout=org.apache.log4j.PatternLayout log4j.appender.FILE.layout.ConversionPattern=%-2d{dd/MM/yyyy HH:mm:ss} [%t] %5p %c:%L - %m%n And in my classes I do something like this: private static final Logger LOG = Logger.getLogger(MaterialController.class); LOG.info("my log"); But the log file has never been created. I did the test and changed the log4j.properties file and deployed in my computer adding the following line: log4j.logger.br.com.golive.requisicaoCompras=DEBUG This works, but I cant use the file like this.   • Adding additional components to a web page after rendering by Wicket

    I have a requirement to create a web page using Wicket 1.5, which can present a variable number of panels to capture user input. All the panels have the same structure. The page would start off with one panel, and includes a button to dynamically add more as required. So the number of panels is unknown at the time the page is initially rendered. Effectively I'd be altering the structure of the page dynamically. This is possible in Javascript, using document.addElement() I've done a similar thing in the past by creating all the components on page load, and selectively showing/hiding components. The difference here is that the number of components (panels) is initially unknown. I'm unsure as to how this would be achieved with Wicket.

I managed to update the database settings in properties file programmatically.
