  • Can any framework project use Struts-taglib

    I have read here that one disadvantage that some may find with using Spring MVC over Struts is that Struts has tags that output HTML code, while Spring has tags that don't generate HTML. My question is can't you just use the Struts tag-lib in a Spring MVC project (or any other kind of framework project), by dropping the right jar into the WEB-INF/lib folder? Any clarification is appreciated, thanks.

    Wonder if there is a parameter I can pass in mmysqldump equivalent for SQL Servery mysqldump that will make the incorrect "DROP TABLE IF EXISTS" statements into "DROP VIEW IF EXISTS", so that populating a database in an automated development environment refresh will work? Clarification, I'm getting DROP TABLE IF EXISTS statements in my .sql dump file even though they aren't tables. FYI: This is a Drupal site. The tables in question are ubercart meta statistics tables.

    Is it currently possible to translate C# code into an Abstract Syntax Tree? Edit: some clarification; I don't necessarily expect the compiler to generate the AST for me - a parser would be fine, although I'd like to use something "official."     So when I see ccTouchesBegan (or touchesBegan for that fact of the matter) I see something like this usually: - (void)ccTouchesBegan:(NSSet*)touches withEvent:(UIEvent*)event { UITouch* touch = [touches anyObject]; } But, what I am not getting is how do you just detect if one object has been touched? For example how would I check if a specific CCSprite I declared has been touched? Sorry if this is a newbish question but, I just don't understand and if you need more clarification just ask how I can clarify myself more.

Clarification: Yes I'm looking for an way to send notification to the user, but it won't harm if one can subscribe to certain events with programs too.     It seems that there are two different ways of declaring sorted associations in Grails : Method 1 (see here) using default sort order class Book { String title } class Author { static hasMany = [books : Book] static mapping = { books sort: "title"} } Method 2 (see here) using SortedSet class Book implements Comparable { String title int compareTo(obj) { title <=> obj.title } } class Author { SortedSet books static hasMany = [books : Book] } I am not sure which one to use and what is the difference (if any), pros and cons between using one against the other.     In the case of MSFT SQL Server 08, it is: odbcCommand = new OdbcCommand("{call " + SP_NAME + " (?,?,?,?,?,?,?) }", odbcConn); When I try to do the same thing for Oracle, I get: OdbcException: ERROR [HYC00] [Oracle][ODBC]Optional feature not implemented. Feel free to ask for clarification, and please help. I am using .Net 3.5, SQL Server 08, and Oracle 11g_home1. P.S. The Oracle stored procedure does have some 3 more parameters, but I believe I am handling this in my code.

  • Given n report thumbnails, how do I create a Flex Effect that zooms into the selected report?

    I am worried about performance issues. If I just render all n reports zoomed out, then that will cost me in performance. Even animating a zoomed out report to zoom in, will also cost me in performance because it has to recalculate all the UIComponent's of my report as it transitions from zoomed out to zoomed in-to view. Any solutions/suggestions welcome. Let me know if you need clarification.
