However, that is the misconception. It does not happen this way. In fact, if you notice the image, you will find the both of them (table and view) use both the index created on the table.   Using VS2008 C# am attempting to interop a C++ dll. Have a C++ class constructor: make_summarizer(const char* rdir, const char* lic, const char* key); Need to retain a reference to the object that is created so I can use it in a follow-on function. • Open a dialog box in same window on selectOneMenu change

  I have a jsf page where I have a selectOneMenu and , I want to open a dialog box on selectOneMenu changes. As a example if user selects a value ="passive" from jsf selectOneMenu it should open a dialog box or a light box on same page where I want to display a small jsf form like as here done. http://www.primefaces.org/showcase-labs/ui/dialogLogin.jsf and I also want save that submitted data in my backing bean somewhere so I can store it in to database later. I dont know how to open a dialog box or light box from backing bean in same window,as we will identify value change using valueChangeListener event or by using ajax event. • How to improve performance of map that loads new overlay images

  I have inherited a website to maintain that uses a html map overlaying a real map to link specific countries to specific pages. previously it loaded the default map image, then with some javascript it would change the image src to an image with that particular country in a different colour on mouseover and reset the image source back to the original image on mouse out to make maintenance (adding new countries) easier i made the initial map a background image by utilising some CSS for the div tag, and then created new images for each country which only had that countries hightlight so that the images remain fairly small. this works great but theres one issue which is particularly noticeable on slower internet connections when you hover over a country if you dont have the image file in your browser cache or downloaded it wont load the image unless you hover over another country and then back onto the first country - i guess this is due to the image having to manually be downloaded on first hover. My question: is it possible to force the load of these extra images AFTER the page and all the other assets have finished loading so that this behaviour is all but eliminated? the html code for the MAP is as follows: <div class="gtmap"><img id="Image-Maps_6200909211657061" src="<?php echo cdnhttpsCheck(); • Great Indian Developer Summit Wrap-Up

  Last week I spoke at the Great Indian Developer Summit in Bangalore, India. This was my second year speaking at GIDS, so it was great to be back. Before the event Teleriks Team Fantastic Four set up the booth and then hit McDonalds for a Maharaja Mac. Remember India does not eat beef, so we HAD to go to McDonalds and check it out! Imagine a McDonalds without a hamburger. Totally awesome. (Though we all preferred the McAloo, a potato patty sandwich.) The event is really 4 conferences in 4 days. One day each on: .NET, Web, Java, and Seminars. On the Day 1 (.NET) I spoke on: Building Data Warehouses Building Applications with Silverlight and .NET (and sharing the business logic) What's new in SQL Server 2008 R2 No computer malfunctions like last year, my sessions went smooth. • Troubleshoot telnet connection from Windows 7 to UNIX

  I am trying to connect to an Asterisk server in USA. I am using telnet < IP Address 5038 from India to USA. The person in USA is able to telnet to the IP address and port from USA , but I am not able to do it from India. We are on different networks. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate, and have enabled the Telnet client. I have also used Putty without any success. Can someone suggest me what can be the problem and how can this be resolved.

• Work experience before masters

  I dont know if its the right place to ask such questions: I have a bachelors degree from an Indian university. I want to persue masters in one of the universities in usa, my profile is good enough to get me admitted to the school that I want to get into. I also have an offer letter from one of the top software companies in India (Infosys). I dont know which path to take, I know a masters degree will be of great help in future both in terms of money and career but I do not know whether I want to do it at this moment. I have signed up for both edx and coursera for some of the courses and I really liked learning them online. I am not sure if taking these courses can be a substitute for a masters degree. Also how will i be able to differentiate myself in the real world if I do not have a masters degree, since there are many in india who dont have it. And is it advisable for me to take some work experience say 1-2 years and then apply for a masters degree. Although universities do not explicitly mention work experience as a criteria, will any kind of work experience help me in deciding whether i want to do masters? finally I want to know what are the cons of not doing a masters.

• I am confused between PHP and ASP.NET to choose as a career in Indian software development context

  I need your help(specially from the software professionals of India). I have completed MCA in 2009. After that instead of joining software company I did a Teaching job nearby by home. In the mean time I prepared myself for public sector jobs(bank). I continued my job for 1 year more and left it in 2010. Now in 2012 ,I feel that I should have done the software jobs,so that I could earn my bread and butter and in the mean time I could have prepared for the job.Because,according to my qualification it will give me the best salary. Now I want to go back in software industries. Now all of them are asking for experiences.And I don't have any.....So which language should I learn? And what should I do,because I have two year gap. Some of my friends suggested me to go with PHP as its easier and quicker to get job in India. But Here the PHP guys are getting less salary as compared to ASP.NET. I am planning to begin with PHP and but is it possible to switch to ASP.NET after two years experience. JAVA: I know upto servlet & JSP. Which is nothing in current market. ASP.NET: I know the basics of asp.net upto database connection ie(Gridview). PHP: Only the basics. So what should I do now. Which is most demanding. Does PHP is good, I feel its more like JSP pages. Please guide me, All your suggestions are needed for me.
