  I have renamed Windows Server 2008 R2 with all the steps using rendom,repadmin,gpupdate and successfully updated domain. My windows vista and above client got updated new domain when restarted. • How to display recently view items in iphone

  Hi friends, I have created tab bar and have three views. Tab-1 --> table view and it navigates to detail table view. Tab-2 --> map view. Tab-3 --> table view.(Recent view for Tab-1 items). Now i have displayed the names in the table view in tab-1. The names are changed dynamically and displayed using XML parsing. In tab-3 is the recent view. Now i want to display the details in recent view those who visit recently in tab-1 view. I want to display only 10 items in the recent view. So i have used NSMutableArray and i have set deleagtes due to get the items in recent view from tab-1 view. How to avoid the duplicate recent items and how to remove the older items and inserts the new recent items in recent view. • Android - dialer icon gets placed in recently used apps after finish()

  In my application I detect the out going call when a call is dialled from the dialer or contacts. This works fine and I then pop up a dialog saying I have detected the call and then the user presses a button to close the dialog which calls finish() on that activity. It all works fine except that when I then hold the home key to bring up the recently used apps the dialer icon is there. And when it is clicked the dialog is brought back into focus in the foreground when the dialog activity should be dead and gone and not be able to be brought back to the foreground. Here is a picture of what I mean. So two questions arise, why would the dialer icon be getting placed there and why would it be recalling my activity to the foreground? • Should USB controller drivers be updated?

  Should USB controller drivers be updated? In Windows 7, many of the core system devices/buses/controllers still use stock Microsoft drivers dating back to 2006 -- things such as USB controllers and the PCI bus (and subsequent devices in the tree). Should these be getting updated? I would think that surely there would have been improvements/fixes/updates to some or any of these drivers by now, now over 7 years old. Does Windows know "best" in this case, updating these respective drivers when it's needed, or should the user be keeping an eye out for drivers in this "vein" of devices (meaning integrated/core/non-pluggable system devices that are built into the motherboard)?

  After I get 3 rows in my forum_threads table this no longer does it's job; to organize a list of active forum threads and put the most recently responded-to thread at the top of the list, followed by second most recent posted-to thread, followed by third, fourth, etc. Like I said, the query works wonders up until there is a fourth row added to forum_threads. • Windows Server 2008 Create Symbolic Link, updated Security Policy still gives privilege error

  Windows Server 2008, RC2. I am trying to create a symbolic/soft link using the mklink command: mklink /D LinkName TargetDir e.g. c:\temp\>mklink /D foo bar This works fine if I run the command line as Administrator. However, I need it to work for regular users as well, because ultimately I need another program (executing as a user) to be able to do this. So, I updated the Local Security Policy via secpol.msc. Under "Local Policies" "User Rights Management" "Create symbolic links", I added "Users" to the security setting. I rebooted the machine. It still didn't work. So I added "Everyone" to the policy. Rebooted. And STILL it didn't work. What on earth am I doing wrong here? I think my user is even an Administrator on this box, and running plain command line even with this updated policy in place still gives me: You do not have sufficient privilege to perform this operation.

• Updated my WAMP Server and MySQL is eating up 580mB of memory

  I updated my dev-box's WAMPSERVER, and along with updating PHP and Apache, MySQL updated to '5.6.12'. After doing that, I copied the data folder from my old (5.1.36) install to the new one and now MySQL takes up 580mB which is way too much, since I'm the only person using it (Locally) and there are only 20 or so databases on it, none of which have 'memory' tables. How can I get this down to a decent amount? • "Zend Optimizer not installed" after I updated to Ubuntu 10.04

  Hi guys, I've just updated from 9.10 to 10.04. Everything seems to run fine except for zend optimizer which is throwing "Zend Optimizer not installed" error. I went to php.ini and the following line is still there Code: zend_extension=/etc/php5/ZendOptimizer.so Also I checked that the file does exist and that the php.ini I am looking at is in fact the php.ini file that is being used by the server. • Added user to CentOS, Updated sshd_config with AllowUsers, Login denied

  CentOS 5.3. I can SSH into the system as root just fine. Added a user and set their password. They have shell access (/bin/bash). I can su to the account from root just fine. I updated /etc/ssh/sshd_config with: AllowUsers myNewUser And restarted sshd: /etc/init.d/sshd restart When trying to ssh into the server with the new user, I get a permission denied. And yes, I've double and triple checked that I am using the correct password. Any help is appreciated.

• Keeping packages on a large number of openSUSE servers updated

  Question for anyone out there managing a network of openSUSE machines. How do you keep track of and apply updates? I know about YaST Online Update (YOU) but it seems more geared towards keeping a single machine up to date. It doesn't seem to scale well to a larger number of machines. How do you keep your machines updated? Our network is fairly heterogenous in terms of package installation as the servers are mostly infrastructure machines with varying roles. I know that SUSE Linux Enterprise has tools to manage updates network-wide, but updating to that is currently not an option for budget reasons.

• SharePoint Discussion Board "Last updated" field is not updated any more.

  On of our SharePoint users informed me today about a strange behavior of a discussion board on one of his sites. Normally the standard "subject" view of an discussion list has a field named "Last updated" showing the date and time of the last post within the corresponding thread. On the discussion board of our user this field is never set to the date/time of the last post but stays on the date/time when the thread was started. The site on which the discussion board is located was created from a custom web site template which includes the empty discussion board. To narrow this problem I created a second discussion board on the same site, with the result that it sets the Last updated field correctly. Any suggestions why the Last updated field doesn't update any more?

  Hello, I would like to use a trigger on table which will be fired every time a row is inserted, updated, deleted. I wrote something like this: CREATE or REPLACE TRIGGER test001 AFTER INSERT OR DELETE OR UPDATE ON tabletest001 REFERENCING OLD AS old_buffer NEW AS new_buffer FOR EACH ROW WHEN (new_buffer.field1 = 'HBP00') and it works. Since I would like to do the same things if the row is inserted, updated or deleted I would like to know what's happening in the trigger. I think I can manage to find if the row in inserted or updated (I can check the old_buffer with the new_buffer). How can I know if the row has been deleted? Alberto

• WebSeal and jsp content updated by Ajax

  Hey, I have a problem running an application on environment with WebSeal. It is a web application with Java server that contains many parts that are replcaed within the page according to user input. For instance - a form called Outer.jsp may contain a form:options combo-box (by spring-forms), that uppon selection of an option, a certain Div is updated with a content produced by a jsp and fetched by an Ajax call (the ajax impementation in the client is done by Prototype JavaScript framework 1.5.1.2). Let's call the content fetched by ajax - Inner.jsp So Outer.jsp is fetching Inner.jsp, which in turn uses js functions in files included by the Outer.jsp. This, I think, is where my problem starts - Inner.jsp is not familiar with any of the functions included in Outer.jsp. And so, almost any operation performed by Inner.jsp is failing miserably. Needless to say - this works perfect when running on environment without WebSeal. Note that the scripting is enabled in WebSeal junction (with the -J option). I also see that the content returned by the Ajax call includes a document.cookie added by WebSeal (not sure it matters to this problem) Can anyone assist? Thanks! Lior

• Attempting to update Amazon Route53 using a script, but domain is not being updated

  I have several Amazon EC2 instances, running Ubuntu 10.04, with which I'd like to use Amazon's Route53. I setup a script as described in Shlomo Swidler's article, but I'm still missing something. When the script runs, it doesn't return any output, which I initially assumed meant it ran correctly. However, when I check the DNS records using MyR53DNS, there are no entries for my instances. • Updated XAMPP with MySQL, all my tables are missing

  I just updated XAMPP to a newer version, which included updating MySQL from 5.5 to 5.6. Using phpMyAdmin, however, all of my tables within my databases still appear on the left navigation panel, but the main window shows that all my databases are empty (except for information_schema, and a couple other default tables.) Clicking on a table in the navigation panel gives me a "table doesn't exist" message. It does looks like information_schema.tables doesn't have my tables, either. Can anyone assist me with this? I did make a complete backup of all my databases before the upgrade, but I first want to see if I can fix this the "normal" way. Furthermore, I'm not sure if the MySQL upgrade involved making changes to the information/performance databases, so I don't know if I can restore the old ones. Thank you. EDIT: Continuing my searching, I realized that only the INNODB databases are missing. I've tried running the following with no avail: /opt/lampp/bin $ sudo ./mysql_install_db --basedir=/opt/lampp and /opt/lampp/bin $ sudo ./mysql_install_db --basedir=/opt/lampp --datadir=/opt/lampp/var/mysql The my.cnf file in /opt/lampp/etc contains the following InnoDB settings: innodb_data_home_dir = /opt/lampp/var/mysql/ innodb_data_file_path = ibdata1:10M:autoextend innodb_log_group_home_dir = /opt/lampp/var/mysql/ # You can set .._buffer_pool_size up to 50 - 80 % # of RAM but beware of setting memory usage too high innodb_buffer_pool_size = 16M # Deprecated in 5.6 #innodb_additional_mem_pool_size = 2M # Set .._log_file_size to 25 % of buffer pool size innodb_log_file_size = 5M innodb_log_buffer_size = 8M innodb_flush_log_at_trx_commit = 1 innodb_lock_wait_timeout = 50 What could possibly be wrong?
