• Exchange 2010 Mail Enabled Public Folder Unable to Recieve External (anon) e-mail.

  Hello All, I am having issues with my "Public Folders" mail enabled folders receiving e-mails from external senders. The folder is setup with three Accepted Domains (names changed for privacy reasons): 1 - domain1.com (primary & Authoritative) 2 - domain2.com (Authoritative) 3 - domain3.com (Authoritative) When someone attempts to send an e-mail to [email protected] from inside the organization, the e-mail is received and placed in the appropriate folder. However, when someone tries to send an e-mail from outside the organization (such as a gmail account), the following error message is received: "Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 554 554 Recipient address rejected: User unknown (state 14)." When I try to send an e-mail to the same folder, using the same e-mail address above ([email protected]), but with domain2.com instead of domain3.com, it works as intended (both internal & external). I have checked, double checked, and triple checked my DNS settings comparing those from domain2 & domain3 with them both appearing identical. I have tried recreating the folders in question with the same results. I have also ran Get-PublicFolderClientPermission "\Web Programs\folder" with the following results for user anonymous: RunspaceId : 5ff99653-a8c3-4619-8eeb-abc723dc908b Identity : \Web Programs\folder User : Anonymous AccessRights : {CreateItems} Domain2.com & Domain3.com are duplicates of each other, but only domain2.com works as intended. All other exchange functions are functioning properly. If anyone out there has any suggestions, I would love to hear them. I've just hit a brick wall. Thanks for all your help in advance! --Alex

  I am working on developing a website, where registered members will be able to write blog/tutorials and each registered site user will be a registered blogger automatically. Site news/announcements will be posted through it too. Now, will it be a wise idea to use wordpress for this purpose, or should I develop custom blogging system myself?   Hello all, disclaimer If this is the wrong location for this question, then please advise me accordingly. backgound I've been using Disqus and intense debate as a 'comments' service for a variety of my sites to great effect and love the fact that i get alot of the facebook/twitter integration 'for free', as well as the SEO benefits. request To this end, does anyone out there know of similar services that can be used to pull entire forums/threaded discussions into the app in a similar fashion (i.e. via ajax webservices). google has been at a loss to turn anything up on this front and i'm therefore wondeing if it's unlikely that such a 'service' exists. respect hope this stikes a chord out there... btw - altho using this in asp.net mvc, I'm aware that this technology could be used on any platform capable of consuming javascript via ajax, thus the wide spread of 'tags'.

At this stage the Applet only targets the Windows platform, as it represents the largest installed base and the need for platform specific elements made Windows the logical starting point. • Why can't Logman start?

  I'm setting up my first logman counter. But it's not working! There is some file or folder permissions problem. Or maybe I wrote the create-counter statement wrong. Here's my counter commands: logman create counter BillTest -si 30 -v nnnnnn -max 200 -o "C:\Temp" -c "\Processor(*)\*" "\Memory(*)\*" "\LogicalDisk(*)\*" logman start BillTest The first command works. It says counter creation successful. The second command fails: Collection "BillTest" did not start, check the application event log for any errors Here's the error in the Event Viewer: The service was unable to open the log file C:\Temp_000001.blg for log BillTest and will be stopped. Check the log folder for existence, spelling, permissions, and ensure that no other logs or applications are writing to this log file. You can reenter the log file name using the configuration program. This log will not be started. The error returned is: Access is denied. I verified that C:\Temp exists. I'm not a permissions guru, but I did set all the accounts in the security tab of that folder to "full control." Still, the logman start command failed with the same error. I noticed that it was trying to write to C:\Temp_000001.blg instead of C:\Temp\000001.blg. That might be part of the problem. So, I tried to update my counter to "C:\Temp\" instead of "C:\Temp", but that failed with a path-invalid error. Also, all the examples I saw online used did not put a trailing slash. So, no dice there. I tried this on my machine (Windows XP) and my dev server (Windows Server 2003). Both failed with the same error. How can I fix this?

• Alcatel-Lucent Boosts Broadband Over Copper To 300Mbps

So far the results have only been reproduced in a lab environment — real products and services won't be available for at least a year. From the article: 'Researchers at the company's Bell Labs demonstrated the 300Mbps technology over a distance of 400 meters using VDSL2 (Very high bitrate Digital Subscriber Line), according to Stefaan Vanhastel, director of product marketing at Alcatel-Lucent Wireline Networks. The test showed that it can also do 100Mbps over a distance of 1,000 meters, he said. Currently, copper is the most common broadband medium. About 65 percent of subscribers have a broadband connection that's based on DSL, compared to 20 percent for cable and 12 percent for fiber, according to market research company Point Topic. Today, the average advertised DSL speeds for residential users vary between 9.2 Mbps and 1.9Mbps in various parts of the world, Point Topic said.'"   A colleague of mine wrote a post a while ago asking Do you own your tools. It raises an important question. Do you? I answered way down in the comments. As an independent, I do own my tools. Even when I wasn't independent, I had my own (fully licensed) tools that I used for personal development. I don't think buying your own tools are something to puff your chest up about (just because you can buy a $100 pair of basketball sneakers they won't make you as good as Michael Jordan), but it IS an investment in yourself that shouldn't be taken lightly. What do you think good people?

This was the one that was five minutes, in which I explained Collation using examples comparing US English, UK English and Australian English. At the end, I showed my Arsenal thongs. • Is Google Closure a true compiler?

  This question is inspired by the debate in the comments on this Stack Overflow question. The Google Closure Compiler documentation states the following (emphasis added): The Closure Compiler is a tool for making JavaScript download and run faster. It is a true compiler for JavaScript. Instead of compiling from a source language to machine code, it compiles from JavaScript to better JavaScript. However, Wikipedia gives the following definition of a "compiler": A compiler is a computer program (or set of programs) that transforms source code written in a programming language (the source language) into another computer language... A language rewriter is usually a program that translates the form of expressions without a change of language. Based on that, I would say that Google Closure is not a compiler. But the fact that Google explicitly state that it is in fact a "true compiler" makes me wonder if there's more to it. Is Google Closure really a JavaScript compiler?

  In choosing a technology for internet applications where the number of users may scale over time, which one should we consider: Java or Python? What are the considerations in choosing one and not the other? If speed and scalability is our main criteria, which one should we use? We have looked around and it seems that there are more websites that use Python [i.e : Quora, digg, reddit, bitbucket and disqus] than Java. Based on that, can we say that Python is more suitable for internet applications where speed and scalability is the main criteria? However we have browsed around and found some comments saying that Java is actually faster than Python. Thank you for your insights.

• Why is design by contract considered an alternative to the pseudo programming process?

  Right now I'm reading Code Complete by Steve McConnell and in chapter 9 he talks about the Pseudo Programming Process (PPP). From what I've understood, the PPP is a way of programming in which the programmer first writes the pseudo code for the routine he's working on, then refines it up to the point where pretty much each pseudo code line can be implemented in 1-3 lines of code, then writes the code in the designated programming language and finally the pseudo code is saved as comments for the purpose of documenting the routine. In chapter 9.4 the author mentions alternatives to the PPP, one of which is 'design by contract'. In design by contract you basically assert preconditions and postconditions of each routine. Now why would that be considered an alternative? To me it seems obvious that I should use both techniques at the same time and not chose one over the other.

I read the article How should code reviews be Carried Out and Code Reviews, what are the advantages? which were very informative but I still need more clarity on the question below. My Question is, Being the target developer, can you suggest some best practices a developer can incorporate before his code is going get reviewed. Currently I practice the following methods PPT for a logical flow Detailed comments. Issue: Even though I have implemented the above practices, they do not help on the review. The problem I faced is, when certain logic is referred, I keep searching for the implementation and the flow and too much time is wasted in the process and I get on people’s nerve. I think a lot of developers would be going through what I am going through as well.

  People have been curious if there would be cross-browser compatibility for extensions due to Opera’s recent switch to the browser engine that Google Chrome uses. That question has now been answered. The OMG! Chrome! Blog has put together a nice tutorial on how to get cross-browser extension compatibility set up and working with your browser of choice. • How important is positive feedback in code reviews?

  Is it important to point out the good parts of the code during a code review and the reasons why it is good? Positive feedback might be just as useful for the developer being reviewed and for the others that participate in the review. We are doing reviews using an online tool, so developers can open reviews for their committed code and others can review their code within a given time period (e.g. 1 week). Others can comment on the code or other reviewer's comments. Should there be a balance between positive and negative feedback?

• Need advice on design in Ruby On Rails

  For personal educational purposes I am making a site for a conference. One of the object that exist in a conference is a session, which has different states and in each state it has slightly different attributes: When submitted it has a speaker (User in the system), Title and abstract. When under review it has reviews and comments (in addition to the basic data) When accepted it has a defined time-slot but no reviewers anymore. I feel that it is not the best thing to add a "status" attributes and start adding many if statements... So I thought it would be better to have different classes for each state each with it's own validations and behaviors. What do you think about this design? Do you have a better idea? *I must add this out of frustration: I had several edits of the question, including one major change but no one actually gave any hint or clue on which direction should i take or where is a better place to ask this... Hardly helpful.

  Hello, I recently couldn't configure my mod_rewrite where I'm using Wordpress and MyBB. And now I need Your help, because I couldn't deal with it... Here is the code: The problem is with third, fifth and sixth line. On the third, it couldn't display comments (error 404). On fifth, forum categories are not working. Finally on sixth, post aren't working. I appreciate, any help. Thanks! EDIT: You're saying the truth. What I want, is for example: From link: example.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?fid=71 to example.com/forum/post// <= only id is important here, post name is only for seo Same thing with 'dzial'.
