  Hi, I am new to iphone. I am working on first app..I could design Email view by using Interface Builder. My requirement is, I have to add contact list. And choose required contact, when i clicked on To UIButton, It will be placed on Address textfield. Finally, I can click the send UIButton, the email reach it's destination. How can I do this?   I just wanted to poll the community and see which plugins people are currently using to get all of these different technologies running in Eclipse. I saw this thread which mentioned Spket & WPT: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1575617/eclipse-which-plugins-for-html-javascript But I noticed that Spket doesn't seem to have been updated since October of 2009 so I'm wondering if it's still a good tool to use. I'm not sure what would be best for PHP since it seems like some of the tools are disjointed at the moment. For Actionscript I know I can just install the latest Flash Builder plugin and be done. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

• Ruby on Rails - Calendar Display

  We want to create a calendar view in a room scheduling application. The outcome we want is to have hours open (variable depending on day) across the top of the grid and the names of the rooms down the left side of the grid. The body would be populated with bookings for that day. The visual we're seeking is similar to the "Weekly Builder" plugin for Rails (http://dmix.ca/2009/06/weeklybuilder-a-weekly-calendar-plugin-for-rails/). We've tried using CSS to create variably-sized images, but this isn't working out. Are there any plugins available or other ways anyone can think of to accomplish this kind of visual? Thanks

• How can I reference only a portion of a TextArea's htmlText block?

  I have a number of very poor-quality pdf documents that look like 80's photocopies, which I'm rebuilding in Flash (Flex Builder 3 MXML application), representing paragraphs of text in TextAreas so that selected portions can be bold or italic, or whatever I need. I need a way to apply toolTips or event listeners to individual words within the block of text to link those words to a glossary. I'm perfectly happy to create a definition panel that is populated and made visible with a mouseOver, but don't know how to do it to just a portion of the text. Is there a good / clean / easy way to do this?

  How would I assign a column of a TableView to be a specific entry in a Core Data entity that is linked to the NSArrayController via a to-many relationship? For example Entity: MovieEntity Attributes: title(NSString), releaseDate(NSDate) Relationship: posters<-->> PosterEntity Entity:PosterEntity Attributes: imageLocation(NSURL), default(BOOL) Relationships: movie<<--> MovieEntity So I have a three column table that I want to display the Poster, Title, and Release Date attributes in, but as one movie could potentially have several different style's of posters how do I get the poster column to only show the one that's marked default? Since the rest of the table is defined in Interface Builder I would prefer to keep it that way for the sake of keeping the code as clean as possible, but if this can only be done programmatically then I'm all ears. I just wanted to give preference in case there's more than one way to skin a cat, so to speak.

  I am creating a cube with the following tables: Customer CustomerID, Name Customer Rep CustomerID, RepID Rep RepID, Name The important thing here is that there is a many to many relationship between Reps and Customers. I want to be able to ask the question "How much sales for customers working with rep 'A'?" In the data source view i set up the relationships between both customerid columns and both repid columns. I set up the rep attribute in the dimension builder and when I try to build the cube I get this error: Errors in the high-level relationship engine. the 'Rep' table that is required for a join cannot be reached based on the relationships in the data source view.

  I'm having problem displaying UIImage in UIImageView. I looked all over stackoverflow for similar questions, but none of the fixes helped me. The image is indeed in my bundle File Inspector - Target Membership is checked for the image IBOutlet is connected (I have tried both using IBOutlet and doing it programmatically) Both png nor jpg works Here's the code for using Interface Builder - //@property and @synthesize set for IBOutlet UIImageView *imageView - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; NSAssert(self.imageView, @"self.imageView is nil. • Template apps for iPhone

  Is there a good place to get starter apps for iPhone, where you choose from any of a large set of permutations?...for instance with a nav bar and a flip screen and a 3 deep table view, with Core Data support etc. I guess what I was hoping for is some kind of wizard where you can check a few boxes and have a working app as a starting point....but more than just the 3 or 4 choices that come with xCode. If not a wizard, just a nice set of a couple dozen permutations. Also....is there any good sample apps out there that show the difference between identical apps, one which uses Interface Builder and one not? Aside from being handy for myself, I'd think these would be great as a teaching tool. I've googled a bit and come up with nothing.

  I am using Apples MultipleDetailViews http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#samplecode/MultipleDetailViews/Introduction/Intro.html for template as a source for my iPad app. The template is using a splitviewController in the interface builder (MainWindow). In the iPhone/iPad Deployment info of the target, MainWindow is set as the "Main Interface". I want my app to also run on iPhone. This means I need to load a different xib when the app is run on an iPhone. I must then remove "MainWindow" from "Main Interface" because the app will crash when I load on an iPhone due to the splitViewController. The AppDeleagte of the template look like this: - (BOOL)application:(UIApplication *)application didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:(NSDictionary *)launchOptions { self.window = [[[UIWindow alloc] initWithFrame:[[UIScreen mainScreen] bounds]]; self.window.rootViewController = self.splitViewController; [self.window makeKeyAndVisible]; } If I remove "Main Window" from "Main Interface", how do I then need to change the APpDelegate, or maybe I need to change the MainWindow.xib to also work for iPhone?

Currently I have come up with these reasons. Less source code, delete all the builder patterns in the code. Increase in flexibility. Easier to switch dependencies. Better separation of concern. The framework is responsible for creating instances instead of our code. Has anybody else had to persuade management? How did you do that? What reasons did you use?

  I have an iPhone app, which consists of a table view containing various custom UITableViewCells, with UISlider and UISwitch controls. When running the app on the iphone, I can move the slider and switches contained in each of the table cells. When I run the same app on the iPad. I can not. None of the controls within the table view will respond to touches. I have checked 'User Interaction Enabled' within the Interface Builder. Anybody got any suggestions of where I should be looking for the cause of different behavior between the iPhone and iPad, in respect to UIControls.

  I am trying to redirect an old website that was on Godaddy's website builder and Quick Blogcast to a new site on Wordpress. I have no problems redirecting from the old page structure to the new one. For example: For example: http://sapientservicesllc.com/About_Us.html redirected to http://sapientservicesllc.com/about-us/ I used: 301 redirect /About_Us.html http://sapientservicesllc.com/about-us/ In the htaccess file. My problem is that I need to redirect all of the blog posts that were on a subdomain to the new wordpress site.   How do I arrange some UILabels and/or UIButtons of a variable length? I just want to add them to a UITableViewCell and they should arrange in a left-to-right flow, much like lines of text in a paragraph. I only found possibilities to create lables with a fixed size and position using "initWithFrame:...". Same seems to be true for Interface Builder, as far as I can tell. Any solution is appreciated no matter if it's done in code or using a custom cell XIB-file.
