  Dear all, I'm trying to get a URL from my routes table. However RouteTable.Routes.GetVirtualPath(rc, new RouteValueDictionary(new { actionName = actionName, controller = controllerName, parameter = param })) keeps giving me null. • WPF animation: binding to the "To" attribute of storyboard animation.

  Hi, I'm trying to create a button that behaves similarly to the "slide" button on the iPhone. I have an animation that adjusts the position and width of the button, but I want these values to be based on the text used in the control. Currently, they're hardcoded. If I bind the values to an ActualWidth of an element in the ControlTemplate, the control comes up as a blank checkbox (my base class). However, I'm binding to the same ActualWidths in the ControlTemplate itself without any problems. Just seems to be the CheckBox.Resources that have a problem with it. For instance, the following will break it: <DoubleAnimation Storyboard.TargetName="CheckButton" Storyboard.TargetProperty="(Button.Width)" Duration="{StaticResource AnimationTime}" To="{Binding ElementName=CheckedText, Path=ActualWidth}" /> I don't know whether this is because it's trying to bind to a value that doesn't exist until a render pass is done, or if it's something else.   I am trying to dynamically display an image that I am storing in the google datastore as a Blob. I am not getting any errors but I am getting a broken image on the page that I view. Any help would be awesome!   Are there any decent examples of the following available: Looking through the WIF SDK, there are examples of using WIF in conjunction with ASP.NET using the WSFederationAuthenticationModule (FAM) to redirect to an ASP.NET site thin skin on top of a Security Token Service (STS) that user uses to authenticate (via supplying a username and password). If I understand WIF and claims-based access correctly, I would like my application to provide its own login screen where users provide their username and password and let this delegate to an STS for authentication, sending the login details to an endpoint via a security standard (WS-*), and expecting a SAML token to be returned. Ideally, the SessionAuthenticationModule would work as per the examples using FAM in conjunction with SessionAuthenticationModule i.e. be responsible for reconstructing the IClaimsPrincipal from the session security chunked cookie and redirecting to my application login page when the security session expires. Is what I describe possible using FAM and SessionAuthenticationModule with appropriate web.config settings, or do I need to think about writing a HttpModule myself to handle this? Alternatively, is redirecting to a thin web site STS where users log in the de facto approach in a passive requestor scenario?

  Hi all! I am new to oauth and I'm trying to use facebook connect with my web-application. I have succeded in getting a verification token but my problem is "fetching" the access token. How do I fetch it? Facebook documentation tells me to fetch the access token with this URL: https://graph.facebook.com/oauth/access_token?' + 'client_id=XXXXXXXXXXXX& redirect_uri=http://www.mysite.com/fbconn/index.html&display=touch&' + 'client_secret=axxxxxcxxxxxxxxxxx&code=' + code; When I use this I see the access token on a blank page, but I want to fetch it with javascript (AJAX) /PHP or something. Is this possible? I thought the access token would be appended to my redirect uri like the verfication code but I never get redirected to my page. What am I doing wrong? • Merge FDF data into a PDF file using PHP

  Is it possible to merge FDF data with a PDF file using PHP alone? Or is there no option but to use a 3rd party command line tool to achieve this? If that is the case can someone point me in the direction of one? I am currently outputting the FDF file to the browser in the hope that it will redirect the user to the filled in PDF but for some people that is not the case. The FDF contents is being output to the screen, even though I am using header('Content-type: application/vnd.fdf');

  After browsing the MVC section on CodePlex I noticed that the [Authorize] attribute in MVC returns a HttpUnauthorizedResult() when authorization fails (codeplex AuthorizeAttribute class). In the source of HttpUnauthorizedResult() from CodePlex is the code (I'm not allowed to enter another URL as my rep isn't high enough, but replace the numbers on the URL above with 22929#266476): // 401 is the HTTP status code for unauthorized access - setting this // will cause the active authentication module to execute its default // unauthorized handler context.HttpContext.Response.StatusCode = 401; In particular, the comment describes the authentication module's default unauthorized handler. I can't seem to find any information on this default unauthorized handler. In particular, I'm not using FormsAuthentication and when authorization fails I get an ugly IIS 401 error page. Does anyone know about this default unauthorized handler, and in particular how FormsAuthentication hooks itself in to override it? I'm writing a really simple app for my football team who confirm or deny whether they can play a particular match. If I enable FormsAuthentication in the web.config the redirect works, but I'm not using FormsAuthentication and I'd like to know if there's a workaround.

  Hi, I use in WFP Caliburn.Micro Framework. I need bindable richTextbox for Document property. I found many ways how do it bindable richTextBox. But I have one problem. From parent window I open child window. Child window consist bindable richTextBox user control. After I close child window and use memory profiler view class with bindabelrichTextBox control and view model class is still hanging in memory. - this cause memory leaks. If I use richTextBox from .NET Framework or richTextBox from Extended WPF Toolkit it doesn’t cause this memory leak problem. I can’t identified problem in bindable richTextBox class.   Basically I could upload files based on a project. Whenever I create a project, a new directory is created with the directory name as the project_name e.g. this is a test - this-is-a-test. • Facebook Canvas iFrame App - Authorizing users with new OAuth protocol

  Hi, I'm developing a new Facebook Canvas application within an iFrame and trying to authorize users. The new OAuth api recommends I do a redirect to the following to authorize a user in my app: https://graph.facebook.com/oauth/authorize? client_id=...& redirect_uri=http://www.example.com/oauth_redirect However this produces a weird problem where a full Facebook page requesting permissions from the user is rendered within the iFrame itself (i.e. facebook within Facebook). Does anyone know how to solve this with the new OAuth API as I don't want to start using old REST API methods. Thanks, Rick

• Installing Recaptcha in Joomla 1.5 user registration

  I am trying to install ReCaptcha into the user registration of Joomla 1.5. This may just be an issue with Joomla but when i hit register nothing happens. I think it's doing some JavaScript form validation but there is nothing telling the user what went wrong. if, God forbid, they do fill out the form correctly Joomla will redirect the user to the homepage and give no notice of success. Is this a Joomla issue or is there something wrong with my install? Does anyone know of a plug-in or module for Joomla that would make this easier? Currently I have a publishers resource and a subscribers resource. I'd like both of them to be able to use the sessions resource for signin/signout. I'm looking for some direction on how to implement this. Should my publisher and subscriber resource inherit from the User resource, so that, for example, the following code works through polymorphism? def create user = User.find_by_email(params[:session][:email]) if user && user.authenticate(params[:session][:password]) # Sign the user in and redirect to the user's show page. else # Create an error message and re-render the signin form. end end The publisher and subscriber do not have many common fields and different capabilities, so I think they should be modeled as two separate resources, but how to have them share the Sessions resource?

If I just use individual TextBlocks only on the clickable text, then those bits of text will still suffer from the wrapping problem illustrated above. And the TextBlock just before the link, and the TextBlock just after. Essentially all of it. It doesn't look like I have many opportunities for putting multiple runs in the same TextBlock. Dividing the links from the other text with RegExs and loops is not the issue at all, the issue is display layout. Why not put each word in an individual TextBlock in a WrapPanel Aside from being an ugly hack, this does not play at all well with linebreaks - the layout is incorrect. It would also make the underline style of linked text into a broken line. Here's an example with each word in its own TextBlock. Why not put the text all in runs, detect clicks on the containing TextBlock and work out which run was clicked Runs do not have mouse events, but the containing TextBlock does. I can't find a way to check if the run is under the mouse (IsMouseOver is not present in SilverLight) or to find the bounding geometry of the run (no clip property).   With a pretty standard Dynamic Data site, when the user edits or inserts a new item and saves, the page does a Response.Redirect(table.ListActionPath), which takes the user back to page 1 of the table. If they were editing an item on page 10 (or whatever) and want to edit the next item on that page, they have to remember the page number and navigate back to it. What's the best way to return the user to the list page they last viewed? I can conceive of some solutions using cookies, session state, or query string values to retain this state and making my own Page Template to incorporate it, but I can't help thinking this must be something that was considered when Dynamic Data was created, and there must be something simpler or built-in to the framework that I'm missing here.

• Why won't "!important" override ":first-line"?

  I am trying to do the tutorial in Chapter 6 of the 2nd edition of "CSS: The Missing Manual", and I've run into an issue I'm trying to understand. I have one style that looks like this: #main p:first-line { color: #999999; font-weight: bold; } Later I have another style that looks like this: #main p.byline { color: #00994D !important; font-size: 1.6em; margin: 5px 0 25px 50px; } I am confused because the second one won't override the color choice in the first one despite the fact that the second one has "!important" in it. I put both classes into an online specificity calculator, and the second one comes out being more specific, so I'm doubly confused. By the way, the inclusion of "!important" is the work-around suggested in the errata for the book. Odd that it still doesn't work! When compiling sslsniff on RHEL I hit the same errors when using libboost packages (from repositories like rpmforge) and compiling libboost from source (which appeared to be successful.) • Google Appengine and Python exceptions

  In my Google Appengine application I have defined a custom exception InvalidUrlException(Exception) in the module 'gvu'. Somewhere in my code I do: try: results = gvu.article_parser.parse(source_url) except gvu.InvalidUrlException as e: self.redirect('/home?message='+str(e)) ... which works fine in the local GAE development server, but raises <type 'exceptions.SyntaxError'>: invalid syntax (translator.py, line 18) when I upload it. (line 18 is the line starting with 'except') The problem seems to come from the 'as e' part: if I remove it I don't get this exception anymore. However I would like to be able to access the raised exception. Have you ever encountered this issue? Is there an alternative syntax?
