• making apache and django add a trailing slash

  Hello. My /train directory is aliased to a script in httpd.conf by: WSGIScriptAlias /train /some-path/../django.wsgi And it works well, except for one problem. If a user goes to /train (with no trailing slash) it will not redirect him to /train/, but will just give him the right page. This is a problem because this way the relative links on this page lead to the wrong place when no trailing slash was used to access it. How can this be worked out? Thanks.

• Disable debug output in libxml2 and xmlsec

  Hi, In my software, I use libxml2 and xmlsec to manipulate (obviously) XML data structures. I mainly use XSD schema validation and so far, it works well. When the data structure input by the client doesn't match the XSD schema, libxml2 (or xmlsec) output some debug strings to the console. Here is an example: Entity: line 1: parser error : Start tag expected, '<' not found DUMMY<?xml ^ While those strings are useful for debugging purposes, I don't want them to appear and polute the console output in the released software. So far, I couldn't find an official way of doing this. Do you know how to suppress the debug output or (even better) to redirect it to a custom function ? Many thanks.

• Amazon S3 Change file download name

  I have files stored on S3 with a GUID as the key name. I am using a pre signed URL to download as per S3 REST API I store the original file name in my own Database. When a user clicks to download a file from my web application I want to return their original file name, but currently all they get is a GUID. How can I achieve this? My web app is in salesforce so I do not have much control to do response.redirects all download the file to the web server then rename it due to governor limitations. Is there some HTML redirect, meta refresh, Javascript I can use? Is there some way to change the download file name for S3 (the only thing I can think of is coping the object to a new name, downloading it, then deleting it). I want to avoid creating a bucket per user as we will have a lot of users and still no guarantee each file with in each bucket will have a unique name Any other solutions?

• Is there any specific available method in jsp/Servlet API which tell you from which page the request

  Hi, I have been working in Oracle iStore from past 4 months and i have been managing the application without any IDE (basically doing all the chores on notepad only because application has been designed poorly and no IDE can support it). Since the coding is done on simple notepad files it is very hard to find out the bugs in the application. I am facing a problem that i have not idea which jsp page redirect the control to which jsp page. For instance, there are two jsp pages A.jsp and other is B.jsp. Now the browser is currently displaying A.jsp. When the user click on submit button (available on A.jsp) the form submits and redirects the control to B.jsp. Now my problem is that i know i am coming on B.jsp but, i don't know that A.jsp is redirecting the control to B.jsp. Is there an method available in Servlet API which tells Which jsp is redirecting the control to B.jsp? • Drupal: Create custom search

  I'm trying to create a custom search but getting stuck. What I want is to have a dropdownbox so the user can choose where to search in. These options can mean 1 or more content types. So if he chooses options A, then the search will look in node-type P,Q,R. But he may not give those results, but only the uid's which will be then themed to gather specific data for that user. To make it a little bit clearer, Suppose I want to llok for people. The what I'm searching in is 2 content profile types. But ofcourse you dont want to display those as a result, but a nice picture of the user and some data. I started with creating a form with a textfield and the dropdown box. Then, in the submit handler, i created the keys and redirected to another pages with those keys as a tail. This page has been defined in the menu hook, just like how search does it. After that I want to call hook_view to do the actual search by calling node_search, and give back the results. Unfortunately, it goes wrong. When i click the Search button, it gives me a 404. But am I on the right track? Is this the way to create a custom search? Thx for your help. • LLBLGenProDataSource : cannot see updates values of newly inserted item from a FormView

  After performing a FormView.InsertItem, I am unable to read the new values from the bound object within the LLBLGenProDataSource that the FormView is bound to. I have tracing turned on, I can see the insert happen, and the data does make it into the database, yet when I examine the contents of LLBLGenProDataSource.EntityCollection(0) (there is only one item in the collection) I do not see the values from the FormView.....yet, they are somehow being inserted into the database. • ASP.NET MVC 2 - Account controller not found

  Hi all, I've recently created an ASP.NET MVC 2 application, which works perfectly in the development environment. However, when I deploy it to the server (123-reg Premium Hosting), I can access all of the expected areas - except the Account controller (www.host.info/Account). This then attempts to redirect to the Error.aspx page (www.host.info/Shared/Error.aspx) which it cannot find. I've checked that all of the views have been published, and they're all in the correct place. It seems bizarre that two other controllers can be accessed with no problems, whereas the Account controller cannot be found. I have since renamed the AccountController to SecureController, and all of the dependencies, to no avail. The problem with not being able to find the Error.aspx page also occurs on the development environment. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chris

  I started RoR development a few months ago, and being new to Mac... Time flies and now I have a lot different ruby versions, rails versions and gems versions located everywhere......And currently I installed rvm and things got even worst, all things messed! And so I started want to clean all things and use rvm again! I want to uninstall all gems, all rails, and all ruby versions, except the system's default one (the very old one born with the mac). An "out of the box" Grails webapp will already have the plugins folder populated with JAR files, but the maven build script should take care of populating it, just like it does for any traditional WAR projects (such as WEB-INF/lib/ if it's empty) This is an error when executing mvn grails:run-app with Grails 1.1 using Maven 2.0.10 and org.grails:grails-maven-plugin:1.0.   Wikipedia has a auto-suggest feature on its search field. If you for instance type in "mars" it lists a few items including Mars, Marseille, Marsh. I am looking to implement something similar working off the latest DBpedia export (wikipedia in database form). If I do a search for all labels in the labels_en.nt file that DBpedia offer that begin with "mars" then, even if I remove ones that redirect on to others that are listed, I end up with a huge list. In trying to understand how wikipedia does this I noticed that I'm actually querying this URL which returns a JSON string. Now my problem is that I don't know how wikipedia narrows the list down. Perhaps it does so based on page popularity. The higher views/edits a page has the higher it goes in this suggestion box. If so, does DBpedia export this information?

  Let's say you have a profile page that can only be accessed by the owner of that profile. This profile page is located at: User/Profile/{userID} Now, I imagine in order to prevent access to this page by other users, you could structure your UserController class's Profile function to check the current session's identity: HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.Name If the id matches the one in the url, then you proceed. Otherwise you redirect to some sort of error page. My question is how do you unit test something like this? I'm guessing that you need to use some sort of dependency injection instead of the HttpContext in the controller to do the check on, but I am unclear what the best way to do that is. Any advice would be helpful.

• Firefox Extension needs to get cookie from PHP redirected external page.

  I am writing a firefox extension that interacts with a JSON server interface. I receive a url to the server which then redirects to the client site that provides the cookie. I need to be able to set this cookie in the users browser without physically loading it in the browser. Is this possible through an AJAX call? I tried using a hidden iframe, however firefox does not seem to like a php redirect in the iframe. My current solution is to load the site in a second tab that never gains focus and then auto close it when the cookie is set. This is very messy and would prefer something more streamlines. Any thoughts?

• Include a c# file in aspx page

  Hi all: I have an aspx page that has a @Page directive which points to a c# class. e.g. <@ Page Language="C#" EnableSessionState="true" ValidateRequest="False" Inherits="MyClass" %> MyClass extends Page, which is the code behind class for that aspx page. Now I want to add another class to the aspx page. This class does some processing and will redirect the user to another page if certain conditions are met. It will be called before the above directive. I tried adding another @Page directive, but gotten an unknown error (literally). I'm thinking that there can only be one code behind class per aspx page so I got the error when I added another one. Googling such question didnt really help me with the answer. So, how do I add another c# class to the same aspx page? Thanks.

• Why html frame behave differently in Firefox and IE8 ?

  I use html frame on my webiste, it's been running for I while, usually I only use Firefox to surf the net, my site looks and functions ok, but today I suddenly found IE8 has a problem with the frame on my site, if I click on the top menu items, it's supposed to display the content in the lower part of the frame, it does this correctly in Firefox, but in IE8, it displays the content in the upper part of the frame and replaces the menu items.
