  I have installed both shoulda and factory_girl, I can run shoulda just fine, but when I add this: require 'factory_girl' Factory.define :user do |u| u.mail 'test@example.com' u.pass 'secret' end to my test/test_helper.rb I'm getting this error: /test/test_helper.rb:1:in `require': no such file to load -- factory_girl (LoadError) when I execute rake test:units I have installed both gems using: sudo gem install thoughtbot-shoulda --source=http://gems.github.com sudo gem install thoughtbot-factory_girl --source=http://gems.github.com and can see both of them being installed fine. And by the way, this works fine as well: script/console Loading development environment (Rails 2.3.8) require 'factory_girl' = [] so requiring the gems seems to be working

  Hello. I'm trying to remove the 'index.php' from CI Urls. I've tried many solutions, none of them worked.   Okay so I am launching a cloned e-commerce site. I want to create a rewrite rule for the image folder for the second site to fetch images from the first site. RewriteRule ^alice.gif$ www.rhinomart.com/images/h_home.gif When I go to alice.gif directly through the browser it simply redirects me to the rhinomart.com URL and image. How do I prevent the redirect from occurring? When I go to http://www.acnbiz.net/alice.gif it should fetch alice.gif directly from Rhinomart.com/images and not redirect. is it possible???

  I want to use rsync to backup a directory from a local location to a remote location, and store changed files in another remote location. I did use: rsync -rcvhL --progress --backup [email protected]:/home/user/Changes/`date +%Y.%m.%d` . [email protected]:/home/user/Files/ The --backup-dir stays empty, while it should be filled.   I have http://example.com/index.html, which from within the HTML uses JavaScript to call a web services at http://example.com/json/?a=...&b=... The web service returns to index.html a JSON array of information to then be displayed on index.html. Since anyone can view the source code for index.html and see how I'm calling the JSON web services (http://example.com/json/), how do I prevent people from calling my JSON web service directly? Since the web service is essentially an open read into my database, I don't want people to abuse the web service and start DoS my server, fetching more information than they should, etc..

• Action Controller: Exception - ID not found

  Hi Everyone, I am slowly getting the hang of Rails and thanks to a few people I now have a basic grasp of the database relations and associations etc. You can see my previous questions here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2714621/rails-database-relationships I have setup my applications models with all of the necessary has_one and has_many :through etc. but when I go to add a kase and choose from a company from the drop down list - it doesnt seem to be assigning the company ID to the kase. • jPlayer problem in Firefox - also throws error from jQuery?! Not related to OGG support.

  I've been working on a small SVG website, http://docroot.ca/ - the SVG part has been working out pretty well. In the current site, jPlayer is called and given an mp3. jPlayer functions properly in Safari, Chrome, and Opera, but not Firefox which throws the following two errors: Error: not well-formed Source File: Line: 1, Column: 191 Source Code: <div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><embed name="jqjp_flash_0" id="jqjp_flash_0" src="js/Jplayer.swf" width="0" height="0" bgcolor="#ffffff" quality="high" FlashVars="id=jPlayerBox&fid=jqjp_flash_0&vol=80" allowScriptAccess="always" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" /></ and: Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "An invalid or illegal string was specified" code: "12" nsresult: "0x8053000c (NS_ERROR_DOM_SYNTAX_ERR)" location: "https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.4/jquery.min.js Line: 122"] I'm not sure why the latter happens at all. The former might have something to do with jPlayer's .swf component. The weird thing is the same code works in http://willshown.com/dw, but not in http://docroot.ca. Any guesses as to what direction to take this problem?

• xerces serialization in Java 6

  In Java 6, the entire xerces XML parser/serializer implementation is now in the Java runtime (rt.jar). The packages have been moved under the com.sun.* namespace, which places them off-limits for explicit reference within client code. This is not a problem when using the parser, which is instantiated via javax API-defined factories. However, our code also uses xerces serialization (org.apache.xml.serialize.* ). AFAICT, there are no javax.xml API-defined factories for creating instances of Serializer and OutputFormat. This seems to imply that the only way to get one is to explicitly call the com.sun.org.apache.xml.serialize.* APIs. I've found the serialization classes in javax.xml.stream, but they don't seem to provide any output-formatting control like the xerces OutputFormat class. Question: Is there a way to access the xerces serialization functionality (which is in rt.jar) via a javax standard API, without including xerces.jar and also without explicitly instantiating com.sun.* classes? If not, is there an javax API-compliant way to achieve the same effect?

This works great when viewing the page for the first time (or force reloading all content). However, when the image has already been cached, it doesn't use the preloading script and thus does not send the play trigger to jplayer.   Ciao a tutti, nella Rails app che sto realizzando, l'utente ha la possibilita' di inserire un post (campo memo) con all'interno una URL. Ad esempio: "bla bla bla bla www.blabla.com bla bla bla ..." Nel mostrare tale post vorrei che www.blabla.com diventasse un link cliccabile (come avviene in twitter). Ovviamente deve essere fatto un parsing della url, immagino usando le espressioni regolari. My parents have had a business for 20 years and have finally decided to get a website! As im studying IT and Business i said id get it done for them. Rather than design it from scratch i used a template which i bought from themeforest.net (awesome template!) and yesterday a friend mentioned in passing using word press as a CMS which i had never heard of before, and he left before i could ask any questions. SO basically i have a site working on my computer and i have no idea how to get it live as a .com or .com.au, so far as i can see wordpress is a blog with .wordpress.com which isnt what im looking for.   i have used IMAPI2 for buring CD/DVD in windows XP..but it is giving me unhandeled exception...it is written as:- System.InvalidCastException: Unable to cast COM object of type 'IMAPI2.Interop.MsftFileSystemImageClass' to interface type 'IMAPI2.Interop.MsftFileSystemImage'. • Loading Youtube Iframe API with RequireJS

  I'm trying to use the Youtube Iframe API inside a module definded with Require JS. As this API is loaded async and calls a function once is loaded, I used a requireJS plugin called "async", that worked before with google maps api. However, this time something isn't working. My module starts this way: define(['text!fmwk/widgets/video/video.html','fmwk/utils/browser','async!http://www.youtube.com/iframe_api'], function (videoTpl,root) { ... }); and chrome console fires this error: Uncaught Error: Load timeout for modules: async!http://www.youtube.com/iframe_api_unnormalized3,async!http://www.youtube.com/iframe_api http://requirejs.org/docs/errors.html#timeout If I don't use async plugin the object YT or its functions are undefinded, and the same happens if I download the API code. The API is loaded sometimes if I put an script tag in the head tag of the html file. All this is expected, but I don't understand because async plugin fails. Thank you for your attention and help :)

Any help would be appreciated.
