    I'm new to AOP so bear with me. Consider the following scenario: A state machine is used in a workflow engine, and after the state of the application is changed, a series of commands are executed. Depending on the state, different types of commands should be executed. As I see it, one implementation is to create List<IAction> and have each individual action determine whether it should execute. Would a Aspect Oriented process work as well? That is, could you create an aspect that notifies a class when a property changes, and execute the appropriate processes from that class? Would this help centralize the state specific rules?

  • jQuery code doesn't work when normally run. But i does with breakpoints activated.

    Hi, I have the following code in my application: $(".deleteproduct").click(function() { id = this.id; alert("id: " + id); }); If i run my site nothing happens when I click on an element with the class deleteproduct. But when I place breakpoints before line 1,2 and 3 it works like a charm. The elements with class deleteproduct are loaded through AJAX call right behind $(document).ready(function(). The .click code is underneath it. This seems really weird to me. It's working if breakpoints in Firebug are used, but not when there are not...

    An html segment with a div containing a form: <div class="hide"> Form header <form action='' method='post'> .... form content here </form> form footer </div> <script type="text/javascript"><!--// $(document).ready(function() { $('.hide').hide(); } //--></script> The jquery should hide the form, but does not do so under IE8. (version 8.0.60001) The form content gets hidden, as does the content within the class='hide' div but outside the form, but the form border continues to show, and retains its size. Does anybody have a workaround for this? jQuery is version 1.4.2 I tried to create a small problem demo in jsfiddle, but that site was not functional in the IE browser.

  • connecting clients to server with emulator on different computers

    I am writing an application that communicates using sockets. I have a server running on one android emulator on a computer, then i have 2 other clients running on android emulators on 2 other computers. I am trying to get the 2 clients to connect to the server. This works when i run the server and clients on the same computer, but when i attempt to do this on the same wifi network and on separate computers it gives me the following error. The client and server code is posted below. A lot is stripped out just to show the important stuff. Also, after the server starts i telnet into the server and run these commands redir add tcp:5000:6000 (i have also tried without doing the redir but it still says the same thing). Then i start the clients and get the error. Thanks for the help! Both the 5000 port and 6000 port are open on my router. Currently, one span.nNumber has a total digits of the two numbers (123456) and the next span.nNumber contains digits only from another number (456).   • Why's a simple change to rt.jar causing the Java Runtime Environment to crash silently?

    This is what I'm doing: extract contents of my JRE's rt.jar extract src.zip of my JDK (same version) Now, if I copy Runtime.java from the extracted src folder and compile it using javac.exe without any modifications and then put it in the extracted rt folder to finally put everything back in a jar file using jar.exe, everything works as expected. The JRE runs fine. However, if I make the slightest change to Runtime.java and compile it and put it in rt.jar, the JRE crashes whenever I attempt to start it. This is an example of a slight change that causes the silent crash: /** Don't let anyone else instantiate this class */ private Runtime() { System.out.println("This is a test."); } Instead of: /** Don't let anyone else instantiate this class */ private Runtime() {} Could anyone tell me why this is causing my JRE to crash? I have tried any number of ways to get the original entity out of a query with ´SetProjection´ but no luck. The current theory is to do something like SELECT Foo.*, BarCounts.counts FROM Foo LEFT JOIN ( SELECT fooId, COUNT(*) as counts FROM Bar GROUP BY fooId ) AS BarCounts ON Foo.id=BarCounts.fooId but with Criterias, and I just can't seem to figure out how.

    [VS 2010 Beta with .Net Framework 3.5] I've written a C# component to asynchronously monitor a socket and raise events when data is received. I set the VB form to show message boxes when the event is raised. What I've noticed is that when the component raises the event synchronously, the message box blocks the component code and locks the form until the user closes the message. When it's raised asynchronously, it neither blocks the code, nor locks the form. What I want is a way to raise an event in such a way that it does not block the code, but is called on the same thread as the form (so that it locks the form until the user selects an option.)
