    Usually I would use :hover, but I want my website to be accessible on touchscreen media too. I know I can use :active, but as soon as I let go of the mouse button, it goes back to its inactive state. Effectively I want: Mouse Down : Div goes green Mouse Up: Div stays green Mouse Down: Div goes red Mouse Up: Div stays red Instead of: Mouse Down: Div goes green Mouse Up: Div goes red

  • Wordpress css and ie6

    my website : http://www.equipe94.com have a two column layout and in ie6 the right column is flushed at the button... it look like and inline problem, but even WITH the inline widget.. it's still at the bottom.. any idea to fix a wordpress template to play well with ie6 ? thanks in advance n.b. As mentioned in the comment... my page don't validate... after fixing the multiples problems now I validate in XHTML 1.0 Strict... but the problem is still there !

  • jQuery color change or CSS?

    I've tried achieving a hover/selected color change for a particular field, but I'm thinking jQuery is the answer. I've looked into some button click tutorials, but maybe I'm not just seeing it or doing it correctly. The idea here is that when a user hovers over a Headline, the background color changes, when they click the headline to expand it, the background color remains constant (selected), however as it stands right now the background color of the expanded fields do not change. Say I have a hierarchy: struct Base { virtual int precision() const = 0; }; template<int Precision> struct Derived : public Base { typedef Traits<Precision>::Type Type; Derived(Type data) : value(data) {} virtual int precision() const { return Precision; } Type value; }; I want a function like: Base* function(const Base& a, const Base& b); Where the specific type of the result of the function is the same type as whichever of first and second has the greater Precision; something like the following pseudocode: template<class T> T* operation(const T& a, const T& b) { return new T(a.value + b.value); } Base* function(const Base& a, const Base& b) { if (a.precision() > b.precision()) return operation((A&)a, A(b.value)); else if (a.precision() < b.precision()) return operation(B(a.value), (B&)b); else return operation((A&)a, (A&)b); } Where A and B are the specific types of a and b, respectively. I want f to operate independently of how many instantiations of Derived there are. I'd like to avoid a massive table of typeid() comparisons, though RTTI is fine in answers. Any ideas?

    Hello all, I'm relatively novice when it comes to C++ as I was weened on Java for much of my undergraduate curriculum (tis a shame). Memory management has been a hassle, but I've purchased a number books on ansi C and C++. I've poked around the related questions, but couldn't find one that matched this particular criteria. Maybe it's so obvious nobody mentions it? This question has been bugging me, but I feel as if there's a conceptual point i'm not utilizing. Suppose: char original[56]; cstr[0] = 'a'; cstr[1] = 'b'; cstr[2] = 'c'; cstr[3] = 'd'; cstr[4] = 'e'; cstr[5] = '\0'; char *shaved = shavecstr(cstr); delete[] cstrn; where char* shavecstr(char* cstr) { size_t len = strlen(cstr); char* ncstr = new char[len]; strcpy(ncstr,cstr); return ncstr; } In that the whole point is to have 'original' be a buffer that fills with characters and routinely has its copy shaved and used elsewhere. To prevent leaks, I want to free up the memory held by 'shaved' to be used again after it passes through some arguments. There is probably a good reason for why this is restricted, but there should be some way to free the memory as by this configuration, there is no way to access the original owner (pointer) of the data.

UPDATE: coloring of appKeyInfo fails, coloring appkey works. When I remove color:red and type font-weight:bold instead the text is bold on error. when I remove color definition of appKeyInfo the text can be colored red on error, strange thing, but I need a font color for the appKeyInfo

    hi I want to build a site that will have these restrictions: RTL direction vertical scroll on the right side whole page is floating to the right page has 2 columns the right (main) column has min width the right (main) column has table inside it that can expend in its data and get wider making all other data in the column expend to the same width as well the sidebar should be on the left side but still floating to the right of the main div it should fit low resolution so the page will be able to add horizontal scroll if needed should work in all major browsers don't use table for constructing the page Can someone help or direct me? There is also a Logger interface that defines the function __call, the latter logs what's needed and then relays the call to the target method. The only difficulty is to make each class, declared in the XML file, implement this interface with __call.     Is it ok to use negative margins for positioning? I have a lot in my current site and feel like it's not such a stable way to position things. I usually suggest to use them too. For example I have a checkout page with three divs on top of each other <div class="A"> header </div> <div class="B"> content </div> <div class="C"> footer </div> (A, B and C), which are meant to sit on top of each other, to appear attached. I did this using: .B { margin-top: -20px; } On div B, to meet the bottom of div A. Is this good practice or shall I re-code using top and left?
