  Has anybody managed to get the ".NET Data Provider for SqlServer" to actually work within perfmon.exe. I have a .NET app that uses nhibernate to interact with sql server 2005 db. All I want to do is to view the NumberOfActiveConnectionPools, NumberOfActiveConnections and the NumberOfFreeConnections within perfmon.exe Can somebody explain to me how exactly I get this to work?   Can someone explain the difference between apache mod_wsgi in daemon mode and django fastcgi in threaded mode. They both use threads for concurrency I think. Supposing that I'm using nginx as front end to apache mod_wsgi. UPDATE: I'm comparing django built in fastcgi(./manage.py method=threaded maxchildren=15) and mod_wsgi in 'daemon' mode(WSGIDaemonProcess example threads=15). They both use threads and acquire GIL, am I right?

  I can change the irb prompt mode with irb --prompt prompt-mode I can see what null and simple does, but I can't tell the difference between null and xmp and the difference between default/classic/inf-ruby. Can someone explain to me what these other modes do? It seems pointless to have multiple modes doing the same thing.

  I have been catching up on my c++ lately, after a couple years of exclusive Objective-C on iOS, and the topic that comes up most on 'new style' c++ is RAII To make sure I understand RAII concept correctly, would you consider Objective-C lazy loading property accessors a type of RAII? For example, check the following access method - (NSArray *)items { if(_items==nil) { _items=[[NSArray alloc] initWithCapacity:10]; } return _items } Would this be considered an example of RAII?   I'm using Entity Framework for a new project (VS 2008, .net 3.5 sp1) and "reasonably happy" with it, especially compared to dataset-based solutions. One of recurring annoyances is "Could not find file CodeGenerationSchema.xsd" exception during application startup. Exception seems to re-appear rather frequently after changes to the model. Googling gives temporary and strange workarounds for this error: Delete .suo file, or Set Options Debugging General Enable Just My Code = On May be someone have more permanent, straightforward fix or can explain the reason of this issue.

  Hello, Could you explain me, why Makefile rule: clean: rm -f foo.{bar1,bar2,bar3} does not result in removing files: foo.bar1 foo.bar2 and foo.bar3? I believe I saw pattern like that many times in various Makefiles, but I'm currently writing my own Makefile and can't make that rule work correctly (no files are removed). I'm using: gnu make 3.81 gnu bash 4.1.5 Bash evals that pattern as I suspect: $ echo test.{a,b,c} test.a test.b test.c Thanks!
