• Using custom request and custom redirect with Contact Form 7

  I have several sites that I want to link back to the main site which hosts the contact form (using contact form 7). I would like to capture the request parameter "site-url" on incoming links to the contact form. Then when the user submits the form, I would like to redirect them back to the site specified in the site-url. Any ideas if this is possible with contact form 7? I would also like to add a special field in the contact form which would insert the site-url into the email that i get so that I know which site they were referred from.

• WinAPI C - RunAsUser from REDMON_USER and REDMON_SESSIONID

  I installed a PostScript printer driver and have setup REDMON (redmonnt.dll) for redirecting postscript output to my program. In my rather simple c program I capture the data from STDIN and I am able to successfully save it into a .ps file. The file looks OK. However, I want to start gsview.exe for viewing the file. If I call ShellExecute it fails in Windows 7 because of permission issues. It seems that my program is called under a different user account (LOCAL SERVICE). So I am looking for a way to run gsview.exe under a specific username (the user who initiated the print job is available to me in a variable as REDMON_USER along with the SESSIONID as well. I am stuck (and my stack is overflowing =) What are the minimum WinAPI call I need to use to launch a program given a username and a sessionid? Any code examples in C/C++, .NET would be very helpful

• How can a Delphi TForm / TPersistent object calculate its own construction and deserialization time?

  For performance tests I need a way to measure the time needed for a form to load its definition from the DFM. All existing forms inherit a custom form class. To capture the current time, this base class needs overriden methods as "extension points": start of the deserialization process after the deserialization (can be implemented by overriding the Loaded procedure) the moment just before the execution of the OnFormCreate event So the log for TMyForm.Create(nil) could look like: - 00.000 instance created - 00.010 before deserialization - 01.823 after deserialization - 02.340 before OnFormCreate Which TObject (or TComponent) methods are best suited? Maybe there are other extension points in the form creation process, please feel free to make suggestions. Background: for some of our app forms which have a very basic structure (with some PageControls and QuantumGrids) I realized that it is not database access and other stuff in OnFormShow but the construction which took most of the time (around 2 seconds) which makes me wonder where this time is spent. As a reference object I will also build a mock form which has a similar structure but no code or datamodule connections and measure its creation time.

• Is there an easy way to get a list of all successful captures from a regex pre-5.10?

  I know the right way to do this if I have Perl 5.10 is to use named captures and values %+, but in Perl 5.8.9 and how can I get a list of successful captures? I have come up with two methods that are both just terrible: #you need to list each possible match my @captures = grep { defined } ($1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $6, $7, $8, $9, $10, $11, $12, $13, $14, $15, $16); and #ew, I turned on symbolic references { no strict 'refs'; my @captures = map { defined $+[$_] ? $$_ : () } 1 .. $#+; } There is a third option I have found involving (?{}), but it requires global variables (because the closure happens at compile time) and takes the regex from reasonably clear to ungodly mess. The only alternative I have found is to capture the whole match and then use another set of regexes to get the values I want (actually I build the first regex out of the other regexes because there is no good reason to duplicate the logic).

• How do I read live camera data on the iPhone (like Microsoft Tag Reader)?

  While the user is still in UIImagePickerController, I'd like to be able to get a UIImage representation of the image in the camera, make some changes to the image, and then display the altered image instead of the image coming directly from the camera. How can I do this? I tried setting a timer and calling takePicture, but calling it seemed to have no effect. The documentation says: Calling this method while an image is being captured has no effect. You must wait until the associated delegate object receives an imagePickerController:didFinishPickingMediaWithInfo: message before you can capture another picture. So how can I do this? I know that it's possible, since apps like Tag Reader are able to detect when something specific rolls in front of the camera. Thanks!

  I have a WPF control1 (has a moving control) that is hosted through elementhost on a windows form. My aim is to capture the mouse move events for the elementhost. I found out from the following link that MouseMove fires when Control moves under mouse while mouse stands still. http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/wpf/thread/56e7b331-ac6f-4d62-a83b-c09009b79fa0 I am getting fake mouse move events for elementhost. In order to fix this issue, I added a button on top of elementhost and set its Visible property to Hidden. Still I get fake mouse move events.. How to fix this issue? Is there any workaround? • Scite Lua - escaping right bracket in regex?

  Hi all, Bumped into a somewhat weird problem... I want to turn the string: a\left(b_{d}\right) into a \left( b_{d} \right) in Scite using a Lua script. So, I made the following Lua script for Scite: function SpaceTexEquations() editor:BeginUndoAction() local sel = editor:GetSelText() local cln3 = string.gsub(sel, "\\left(", " \\left( ") local cln4 = string.gsub(cln3, "\\right)", " \\right) ") editor:ReplaceSel(cln4) editor:EndUndoAction() end The cln3 line works fine, however, cln4 crashes with: /home/user/sciteLuaFunctions.lua:49: invalid pattern capture >Lua: error occurred while processing command I think this is because bracket characters () are reserved characters in Lua; but then, how come the cln3 line works without escaping? By the way I also tried: -- using backslash \ as escape char: local cln4 = string.gsub(cln3, "\\right\)", " \\right) ") -- crashes all the same -- using percentage sign % as escape chare local cln4 = string.gsub(cln3, "\\right%)", " \\right) ") -- does not crash, but does not match either Could anyone tell me what would be the correct way to do this? • Appscript to write iTunes artwork

  I'm trying to capture artwork from a pict file and embed into a track on iTunes using python appscript. I did something like this: imFile = open('/Users/kartikaiyer/temp.pict','r') data = imFile.read() it = app('iTunes') sel = it.current_track.get() sel.artworks[0].data_.set(data[513:]) I get an error OSERROR: -1731 MESSAGE: Unknown object Similar applescript code looks like this: tell application "iTunes" set the_artwork to read (POSIX file "/Users/kartikaiyer/temp.pict") from 513 as picture set data of artwork 1 of current track to the_artwork end tell I tried using ASTranslate but it never instantiates 'the_artwork' and then throws an error when there is a reference to the_artwork. Can anyone help. I'm new to appscript and python in general.

• Curser control using Masked Text Box in C#

Please ignore this one !! Thanks. In my app in C# I have several input fields that I need to capture. I need them to be of specific sizes and type and I have used masked Text Boxes for these. I have fields like name which is 20 text charachters long, and a certificate number which is 5 numeric characters with a preceding C etc. This works fine except with I click on a field with the mouse, the cursor does not go to the begining of the fild, or the end of any input text. Is there a way of allowing this to happen using Masked Text Box or will I have to use normal Text Box and do all the field validation manually ?

• Load testing a quicktime streaming server from ubuntu machine

  I have software that can launch and control multiple firefox browsers on Ubuntu EC2 images. I need to run a small load test against a QuickTime Streaming server. The stream starts automatically when loaded in a browser that has the QuickTime plugin, so I don't need to automate the stream once it starts. Alternately, I can also make these machines run arbitrary ruby code or executables. How can I get these ubuntu machines to pull in the stream? Also, how can I capture bandwidth usage (maybe a shell script?) on the worker machines?

  Hi all: I need to redirect a user to a different page if they visit a certain set of pages in a web. There is one condition: I'm not allowed to touch the IIS. I have googled around and found a thing called the custom HttpHandler for WSS 3.0. It sounded like something that I can use to capture the URL the user enters (the most malicious way to get to a page that should really be redirected) and redirect them to another page/web. But having not have the chance to use it yet, I was wondering am I on the right track by using a Custom HttpHandler to redirect a user to a different page in Sharepoint using C#? Many thanks.

  In VS2008, I have a web-site project. When I use find in files and search for a string, the find results window will list every occurence twice. What could be causing this? [EDIT] Below is the screen capture from VS. I was searching for the work CommissionBucketProductID within my website project. Notice that each line is returned twice. It's not meant to be cryptographically secure but to simply make sure that only people who are sure they want to read it will read it. I'd like to do something similar for numbers, for an application involving sealed bids. Roughly I want to send someone my number and trust them to pick their own number, uninfluenced by mine, but then they should be able to reveal mine (purely client-side) when they're ready. They should not require further input from me or any third party. (Added: Note the assumption that the recipient is being trusted not to cheat.) It's not as simple as rot13 because certain numbers, like 1 and 2, will recur often enough that you might remember that, say, 34.2 is really 1. Here's what I'm looking for specifically: A function seal() that maps a real number to a real number (or a string). It should not be deterministic -- seal(7) should not map to the same thing every time. But the corresponding function unseal() should be deterministic -- unseal(seal(x)) should equal x for all x. I don't want seal or unseal to call any webservices or even get the system time (because I don't want to assume synchronized clocks). (Added: It's fine to assume that all bids will be less than some maximum, known to everyone, say a million.) Sanity check: > seal(7) 482.2382 # some random-seeming number or string. > seal(7) 71.9217 # a completely different random-seeming number or string. > unseal(seal(7)) 7 # we always recover the original number by unsealing.

  I'm a perl scripter working in python and need to know a way to do the following perl in python. $Hash{$key1}[$index_value]{$key2} = $value; I have seen the stackoverflow question here: List of dictionaries, in a dictionary - in Python I still don't understand what self.rules is doing or if it works for my solution. My data will be coming from files, and will I will be using regexes to capture to temporary variables until ready to store in the data structure. If you need to ask, the order related to the $index_value is important and would like to be maintained as an integer. Any suggestions are appreciated or if you think I need to rethink data structures with Python that would be helpful.

I have a business object that stores some data in named properties and other data in a property bag.   I am writing a Java application that uses a C++ library through a JNI interface. The C++ library creates objects of type Foo, which are duly passed up through JNI to Java. Suppose the library has an output function void Foo::print(std::ostream &os) and I have a Java OutputStream out. How can I invoke Foo::print from Java so that the output appears on out? Is there any way to coerce the OutputStream to a std::ostream in the JNI layer? Can I capture the output in a buffer the JNI layer and then copy it into out?

• paypal redirect on successful checkout

  I am trying to get my Paypal subscription to redirect to a custom page after a successful checkout. Before submitting to Paypal I overload the submit handler, run my own function (to store details) and return a unique id. I want to attach that id to my return URL. (as a GET or POST var so to speak) I have turned auto redirect "on" in my Paypal sandbox sellers preferences, but it only seems to re-direct to the URL that I HAVE to put in there. using the <input type="hidden" name="return" value="someurl" /> does no seem to work. I want it this way so that I can capture the user information when entered with a "non-paid" flag, then via the IPN I can update that record with a "PAID" flag, and I want to use the unique ID to tie it all together so to speak. Any advice or a different approach is welcomed. Many thanks!

  Hi, I have a version number of the following form: version.release.modification where version, release and modification are either a set of digits or the '*' wildcard character. Additionally, any of these numbers (and any preceding .) may be missing. So the following are valid and parse as: 1.23.456 = version 1, release 23, modification 456 1.23 = version 1, release 23, any modification 1.23.* = version 1, release 23, any modification 1.* = version 1, any release, any modification 1 = version 1, any release, any modification * = any version, any release, any modification But these are not valid: *.12 *123.1 12* 12.*.34 Can anyone provide me a not-too-complex regex to validate and retrieve the release, version and modification numbers? • Persist url parameter throughout grails app

  Essentially I am looking to have a url query parameter persist throughout the life of the grails application (POST or GET). ex. http://localhost:8080/demo/controller/action/?myParam=foobar I have tried a couple routes. Dynamic method overriding redirect and customizing application tags for createLink. However, since I also use grails webflows it doesn't quite get every single URL. I also tried using a groovy servlet (groovlet) to capture every URL and append the query parameter. The last attempt hasn't been very successful. Am I missing an obvious component to grails? Am I on the right track? Is there another avenue I haven't explored yet? Thanks in advance

  Here's my problem. I'd like to have a timeout for a process I start from Java. After the timeout, I'd like to kill the process. So far, so good. Problem is, I want to capture stderr/stdout during both normal execution and after a timeout. What happens if I kill the process with destroy()? Can I retrieve the (partial) stderr/stdout produced so far? Or are they gone?

Once all approvals are completed the data shall be permanantly persisted into the actual table. Example: 1) Consider an entity called "User". One way to create the user is through the "Create Account Process". 2) The "Create Account Process" shall capture all the information of the User and store it in a temporary table in the database. 3) The data shall be used by the "Account Approval Process" to run its verification process. 4. After all the verification is completed successfully, the User data shall be persisted to the actual table. Question: Where to store the user data entered during "Create Account Process". Additionally, User data should be editable till the verification process is complete.

• Sniffing LPT Traffic

  I need to intercept LPT output traffic. After a couple of hours of research, I've come to understand that the only way to do this is by writing a kernel-mode driver, more precisely a "filter driver"...? I've downloaded the WDK, but the terminology and vast number of driver types is a little overwhelming. I'm basically trying to understand what kind of driver I should be writing; my target environment is Windows XP SP2 and 3 only. Some background info, if it matters: I have a bunch of legacy DOS apps that print to LPT1. I'd like to be able to capture this output and redirect this data (after GDI calls) to a modern USB (network) printer. Fortunately, the latter part of the problem's easy. I'm hoping someone could point me in the right direction. TIA.
