  • Grails - ElasticSearch - QueryParsingException[[index] No query registered for [query]]; with elasticSearchHelper; JSON via curl works fine though

    - by v1p
    I have been working on a Grails project, clubbed with ElasticSearch ( v 20.6 ), with a custom build of elasticsearch-grails-plugin(to support geo_point indexing : v.20.6) have been trying to do a filtered Search, while using script_fields (to calculate distance). Following is Closure & the generated JSON from the GXContentBuilder : Closure records = Domain.search(searchType:'dfs_query_and_fetch'){ query { filtered = { query = { if(queryTxt){ query_string(query: queryTxt) }else{ match_all {} } } filter = { geo_distance = { distance = "${userDistance}km" "location"{ lat = latlon[0]?:0.00 lon = latlon[1]?:0.00 } } } } } script_fields = { distance = { script = "doc['location'].arcDistanceInKm($latlon)" } } fields = ["_source"] } GXContentBuilder generated query JSON : { "query": { "filtered": { "query": { "match_all": {} }, "filter": { "geo_distance": { "distance": "5km", "location": { "lat": "37.752258", "lon": "-121.949886" } } } } }, "script_fields": { "distance": { "script": "doc['location'].arcDistanceInKm(37.752258, -121.949886)" } }, "fields": ["_source"] } The JSON query, using curl-way, works perfectly fine. But when I try to execute it from Groovy Code, I mean with this : elasticSearchHelper.withElasticSearch { Client client -> def response = client.search(request).actionGet() } It throws following error : Failed to execute phase [dfs], total failure; shardFailures {[1][index][3]: SearchParseException[[index][3]: from[0],size[60]: Parse Failure [Failed to parse source [{"from":0,"size":60,"query_binary":"eyJxdWVyeSI6eyJmaWx0ZXJlZCI6eyJxdWVyeSI6eyJtYXRjaF9hbGwiOnt9fSwiZmlsdGVyIjp7Imdlb19kaXN0YW5jZSI6eyJkaXN0YW5jZSI6IjVrbSIsImNvbXBhbnkuYWRkcmVzcy5sb2NhdGlvbiI6eyJsYXQiOiIzNy43NTIyNTgiLCJsb24iOiItMTIxLjk0OTg4NiJ9fX19fSwic2NyaXB0X2ZpZWxkcyI6eyJkaXN0YW5jZSI6eyJzY3JpcHQiOiJkb2NbJ2NvbXBhbnkuYWRkcmVzcy5sb2NhdGlvbiddLmFyY0Rpc3RhbmNlSW5LbSgzNy43NTIyNTgsIC0xMjEuOTQ5ODg2KSJ9fSwiZmllbGRzIjpbIl9zb3VyY2UiXX0=","explain":true}]]]; nested: QueryParsingException[[index] No query registered for [query]]; } The above Closure works if I only use filtered = { ... } script_fields = { ... } but it doesn't return the calculated distance. Anyone had any similar problem ? Thanks in advance :) It's possible that I might have been dim to point out the obvious here :P

  • jquery: How to deal with 'this' in ajax callbacks

    - by Svish
    I currently have code similar to this for a form: $('#some-form') .submit(function() { // Make sure we are not already busy if($(this).data('busy')) return false; $(this).data('busy', true); // Do post $.post("some/url", $(this).serialize(), function(data) { if(data.success) // Success is a boolean I set in the result on the server { // Deal with data } else { // Display error } $('#some-form') .removeData('busy'); }); return false; }); My issue is that I would like to somehow remove the need for knowing the form id in the post callback. In the end where I remove the busy data from the form, I'd like to somehow not have that hard coded. Is there any way I can do this? Is there a way I can hand whatever is in this to the post callback function? Since I know the id right now, I can get around it by doing what I have done, but I'd like to know how to not be dependant on knowing the id, since often I don't have an id. (For example if I have a link in each row in a table and all the rows have the same click handler.

  • plot an item map (based on difficulties)

    - by Tyler Rinker
    I have a data set of item difficulties that correspond to items on a questionnaire that looks like this: item difficulty 1 ITEM_6: I DESTROY THINGS BELONGING TO OTHERS 2.31179818 2 ITEM_11: I PHYSICALLY ATTACK PEOPLE 1.95215238 3 ITEM_5: I DESTROY MY OWN THINGS 1.93479536 4 ITEM_10: I GET IN MANY FIGHTS 1.62610855 5 ITEM_19: I THREATEN TO HURT PEOPLE 1.62188759 6 ITEM_12: I SCREAM A LOT 1.45137544 7 ITEM_8: I DISOBEY AT SCHOOL 0.94255210 8 ITEM_3: I AM MEAN TO OTHERS 0.89941812 9 ITEM_20: I AM LOUDER THAN OTHER KIDS 0.72752197 10 ITEM_17: I TEASE OTHERS A LOT 0.61792597 11 ITEM_9: I AM JEALOUS OF OTHERS 0.61288399 12 ITEM_4: I TRY TO GET A LOT OF ATTENTION 0.39947791 13 ITEM_18: I HAVE A HOT TEMPER 0.32209970 14 ITEM_13: I SHOW OFF OR CLOWN 0.31707701 15 ITEM_7: I DISOBEY MY PARENTS 0.20902108 16 ITEM_2: I BRAG 0.19923607 17 ITEM_15: MY MOODS OR FEELINGS CHANGE SUDDENLY 0.06023317 18 ITEM_14: I AM STUBBORN -0.31155481 19 ITEM_16: I TALK TOO MUCH -0.67777282 20 ITEM_1: I ARGUE A LOT -1.15013758 I want to make an item map of these items that looks similar (not exactly) to this (I created this in word but it lacks true scaling as I just eyeballed the scale). It's not really a traditional statistical graphic and so I don't really know how to approach this. I don't care what graphics system this is done in but I am more familiar with ggplot2 and base. I would greatly appreciate a method of plotting this sort of unusual plot. Here's the data set (I'm including it as I was having difficulty using read.table on the dataframe above): DF <- structure(list(item = structure(c(17L, 3L, 16L, 2L, 11L, 4L, 19L, 14L, 13L, 9L, 20L, 15L, 10L, 5L, 18L, 12L, 7L, 6L, 8L, 1L ), .Label = c("ITEM_1: I ARGUE A LOT", "ITEM_10: I GET IN MANY FIGHTS", "ITEM_11: I PHYSICALLY ATTACK PEOPLE", "ITEM_12: I SCREAM A LOT", "ITEM_13: I SHOW OFF OR CLOWN", "ITEM_14: I AM STUBBORN", "ITEM_15: MY MOODS OR FEELINGS CHANGE SUDDENLY", "ITEM_16: I TALK TOO MUCH", "ITEM_17: I TEASE OTHERS A LOT", "ITEM_18: I HAVE A HOT TEMPER", "ITEM_19: I THREATEN TO HURT PEOPLE", "ITEM_2: I BRAG", "ITEM_20: I AM LOUDER THAN OTHER KIDS", "ITEM_3: I AM MEAN TO OTHERS", "ITEM_4: I TRY TO GET A LOT OF ATTENTION", "ITEM_5: I DESTROY MY OWN THINGS", "ITEM_6: I DESTROY THINGS BELONGING TO OTHERS", "ITEM_7: I DISOBEY MY PARENTS", "ITEM_8: I DISOBEY AT SCHOOL", "ITEM_9: I AM JEALOUS OF OTHERS" ), class = "factor"), difficulty = c(2.31179818110545, 1.95215237740899, 1.93479536058926, 1.62610855327073, 1.62188759115818, 1.45137543733965, 0.942552101641177, 0.899418119889782, 0.7275219669431, 0.617925967008653, 0.612883990709181, 0.399477905189577, 0.322099696946661, 0.31707700560997, 0.209021078266059, 0.199236065264793, 0.0602331732900628, -0.311554806052955, -0.677772822413495, -1.15013757942119)), .Names = c("item", "difficulty" ), row.names = c(NA, -20L), class = "data.frame") Thank you in advance.

  • NHibernate Entity code conversion from #C to VB.Net

    - by CoderRoller
    Hello and thanks for your help in advance. I am starting on the NHibernate world and i am experimenting with the NHibernate CookBook recipes, i am trying to set a base entity class for my entities and this is the C# code for this. I would like to know whats the VB.NET version so i can implement it in my sample project. This is the C# code: public abstract class Entity<TId> { public virtual TId Id { get; protected set; } public override bool Equals(object obj) { return Equals(obj as Entity<TId>); } private static bool IsTransient(Entity<TId> obj) { return obj != null && Equals(obj.Id, default(TId)); } private Type GetUnproxiedType() { return GetType(); } public virtual bool Equals(Entity<TId> other) { if (other == null) return false; if (ReferenceEquals(this, other)) return true; if (!IsTransient(this) && !IsTransient(other) && Equals(Id, other.Id)) { var otherType = other.GetUnproxiedType(); var thisType = GetUnproxiedType(); return thisType.IsAssignableFrom(otherType) || otherType.IsAssignableFrom(thisType); } return false; } public override int GetHashCode() { if (Equals(Id, default(TId))) return base.GetHashCode(); return Id.GetHashCode(); } } I tried using an online converter but puts a Nothing reference in place of default(TId) that doesn't seem right to me that's why I request for help: Private Shared Function IsTransient(obj As Entity(Of TId)) As Boolean Return obj IsNot Nothing AndAlso Equals(obj.Id, Nothing) End Function I Would appreciate the insight you may give me on the subject.

  • Can't clone file-input element in Safari and Chrome. FF and Opera are OK

    - by Christian Fazzini
    This is very strange. I've got a simple form. I have a file input element outside this form. User clicks the file input element and selects a file. I clone the file input using this code: $('input[name="song[attachment]"]').clone(true).appendTo('form') In all browsers: FF, Opera, Safari, Chrome, when I inspect the form element, I see the cloned file input element inside the form. However, when I submit the form in FF and Opera it works. Safari and Chrome submits the form with an empty file input. I notice when the file input element is cloned and appended to the form element, it doesn't copy over its values. It only clones an empty input file element. Is this normal? Is there something wrong with my Jquery code? Or is this a security issue and that's why Safari and Chrome are not allowing me to do this? If the latter, why is FF and Opera doing otherwise?

  • Will C++0x support __stdcall or extern "C" capture-nothing lambdas?

    - by Daniel Trebbien
    Yesterday I was thinking about whether it would be possible to use the convenience of C++0x lambda functions to write callbacks for Windows API functions. For example, what if I wanted to use a lambda as an EnumChildProc with EnumChildWindows? Something like: EnumChildWindows(hTrayWnd, CALLBACK [](HWND hWnd, LPARAM lParam) { // ... return static_cast<BOOL>(TRUE); // continue enumerating }, reinterpret_cast<LPARAM>(&myData)); Another use would be to write extern "C" callbacks for C routines. E.g.: my_class *pRes = static_cast<my_class*>(bsearch(&key, myClassObjectsArr, myClassObjectsArr_size, sizeof(my_class), extern "C" [](const void *pV1, const void *pV2) { const my_class& o1 = *static_cast<const my_class*>(pV1); const my_class& o2 = *static_cast<const my_class*>(pV2); int res; // ... return res; })); Is this possible? I can understand that lambdas that capture variables will never be compatible with C, but it at least seems possible to me that capture-nothing lambdas can be compatible.

  • How find all overlapping circles from radius of central circle?

    - by roza
    How to do an intersection or overlap query in mongo shell - what circles overlap my search region? Within relate only to the center position but doesn't include radius of the other circles in searched scope. Mongo: # My bad conception: var search = [[30, 30], 10] db.places.find({circle : {"$within" : {"$center" : [search]}}}) Now I can obtain only this circles within central point lies in searched area of circle: Ruby: # field :circle, type: Circle # eg. [ [ 30, 30 ], 10 ] field :radius, type: Integer field :location, :type => Array, :spatial => true spatial_index :location Places.within_circle(location: [ [ 30, 30 ], 10 ]) # {"$query"=>{"location"=>{"$within"=>{"$center"=>[[30, 30], 10]}}} I created example data with additional location (special index) and radius instead circle because circle isn't supported by mongodb geo index: { "_id" : 1, "name" : "a", "circle" : [ [ 5, 5 ], 40 ], "latlng" : [ 5, 5 ], "radius" : 40 } { "_id" : 2, "name" : "b", "circle" : [ [ 10, 10 ], 5 ], "latlng" : [ 10, 10 ], "radius" : 5 } { "_id" : 3, "name" : "c", "circle" : [ [ 20, 20 ], 5 ], "latlng" : [ 20, 20 ], "radius" : 5 } { "_id" : 4, "name" : "d", "circle" : [ [ 30, 30 ], 50 ], "latlng" : [ 30, 30 ], "radius" : 50} { "_id" : 5, "name" : "e", "circle" : [ [ 80, 80 ], 30 ], "latlng" : [ 80, 80 ], "radius" : 30} { "_id" : 6, "name" : "f", "circle" : [ [ 80, 80 ], 20 ], "latlng" : [ 80, 80 ], "radius" : 20} Desired query result: { "_id" : 1, "name" : "a", "circle" : [ [ 5, 5 ], 40 ], "latlng" : [ 5, 5 ], "radius" : 40 } { "_id" : 3, "name" : "c", "circle" : [ [ 20, 20 ], 5 ], "latlng" : [ 20, 20 ], "radius" : 5 } { "_id" : 4, "name" : "d", "circle" : [ [ 30, 30 ], 50 ], "latlng" : [ 30, 30 ], "radius" : 50} { "_id" : 5, "name" : "e", "circle" : [ [ 80, 80 ], 30 ], "latlng" : [ 80, 80 ], "radius" : 30} Solution below assumes that I get all rows and then filter on the ruby side my radius but it returns only: { "_id" : 4, "name" : "d", "circle" : [ [ 30, 30 ], 50 ], "latlng" : [ 30, 30 ], "radius" : 50}

  • Fill lower matrix with vector by row, not column

    - by mhermans
    I am trying to read in a variance-covariance matrix written out by LISREL in the following format in a plain text, whitespace separated file: 0.23675E+01 0.86752E+00 0.28675E+01 -0.36190E+00 -0.36190E+00 0.25381E+01 -0.32571E+00 -0.32571E+00 0.84425E+00 0.25598E+01 -0.37680E+00 -0.37680E+00 0.53136E+00 0.47822E+00 0.21120E+01 -0.37680E+00 -0.37680E+00 0.53136E+00 0.47822E+00 0.91200E+00 0.21120E+01 This is actually a lower diagonal matrix (including diagonal): 0.23675E+01 0.86752E+00 0.28675E+01 -0.36190E+00 -0.36190E+00 0.25381E+01 -0.32571E+00 -0.32571E+00 0.84425E+00 0.25598E+01 -0.37680E+00 -0.37680E+00 0.53136E+00 0.47822E+00 0.21120E+01 -0.37680E+00 -0.37680E+00 0.53136E+00 0.47822E+00 0.91200E+00 0.21120E+01 I can read in the values correctly with scan() or read.table(fill=T). I am however not able to correctly store the read-in vector in a matrix. The following code S <- diag(6) S[lower.tri(S,diag=T)] <- d fills the lower matrix by column, while it should fill it by row. Using matrix() does allow for the option byrow=TRUE, but this will fill in the whole matrix, not just the lower half (with diagonal). Is it possible to have both: only fill the lower matrix (with diagonal) and do it by row? (separate issue I'm having: LISREL uses 'D+01' while R only recognises 'E+01' for scientific notation. Can you change this in R to accept also 'D'?)

  • mysql to codeigniter active record help

    - by JoeM05
    Active record is a neet concept but sometimes I find it difficult to get more complicated queries to work. I find this is at least one place the CI docs are lacking. Anyway, This is the sql I wrote. It returns the expected results of quests not yet completed by the user that are unlocked and within the users level requirements: SELECT writing_quests . * FROM `writing_quests` LEFT OUTER JOIN members_quests_completed ON members_quests_completed.quest_id = writing_quests.id LEFT OUTER JOIN members ON members.id = $user_id WHERE writing_quests.unlocked =1 AND writing_quests.level_required <= $userlevel AND members_quests_completed.user_id IS NULL This is the codeigniter active record query, it returns all quests that are unlocked and within the users level requirement: $this->db->select('writing_quests.*'); $this->db->from('writing_quests'); $this->db->join('members_quests_completed', 'members_quests_completed.quest_id = writing_quests.id', 'left outer'); $this->db->join('members', "members.id = $user_id", 'left outer'); $this->db->where('writing_quests.unlock', 1); $this->db->where('writing_quests.level_required <=', $userlevel); $this->db->where('members_quests_completed.user_id is null', null, true); I'm guessing there is something wrong with the way I am asking for Nulls. To be thorough, I figured I'd include everything.

  • How to focus a control in an MDIParent when all child windows have closed?

    - by Tim Gradwell
    I have a control in my parent mdi form which I wish to be given the focus if all mdi children have closed. I've tried hooking into the child form's FormClosed event and setting the focus from there but when I test it, my control is not left with focus when I close the mdi child. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing? In the sample below, "first focus" gets hit and does its job correctly (if I comment out the first focus line, my tree does not get focus on startup, so it must be doing its job, right?) Unfortunately, even though "second focus" gets hit, my tree does not end up with the focus when I close the child window. Sample using System; using System.Windows.Forms; namespace mdiFocus { class ParentForm : Form { public ParentForm() { IsMdiContainer = true; tree = new TreeView(); tree.Nodes.Add("SomeNode"); tree.Dock = DockStyle.Left; Controls.Add(tree); } protected override void OnShown(EventArgs e) { Form child = new Form(); child.MdiParent = this; child.Show(); child.FormClosed += new FormClosedEventHandler(child_FormClosed); tree.Focus(); // first focus works ok } void child_FormClosed(object sender, FormClosedEventArgs e) { tree.Focus(); // second focus doesn't seem to work, even though it is hit :( } TreeView tree; } static class Program { [STAThread] static void Main() { Application.Run(new ParentForm()); } } }

  • Error emailing outgoing sms

    - by BirthOfTragedy
    Is there anyway to listen for an outbound sms without having to import javax.wireless.messaging? I'm trying to write an app that listens for an sms sent from the device then emails the message of the sms, but I get the error: reference to Message is ambiguous, both class javax.wireless.messaging.Message in javax.wireless.messaging and class net.rim.blackberry.api.mail.Message in net.rim.blackberry.api.mail match I need to import net.rim.blackberry.api.mail.Message in order to sent an email. Is there a way to get around this as it seems that the two packages are clashing. My code: public void notifyIncomingMessage(MessageConnection messageconnection) {} public void notifyOutgoingMessage(javax.wireless.messaging.Message message) { try { String address = message.getAddress(); String msg = null; if ( message instanceof TextMessage ) { TextMessage tm = (TextMessage)message; msg = tm.getPayloadText(); } else if (message instanceof BinaryMessage) { StringBuffer buf = new StringBuffer(); byte[] data = ((BinaryMessage) message).getPayloadData(); msg = new String(data, "UTF-8"); Store store = Session.getDefaultInstance().getStore(); Folder[] folders = store.list(Folder.SENT); Folder sentfolder = folders[0]; Message in = new Message(sentfolder); Address recipients[] = new Address[1]; recipients[0]= new Address("[email protected]", "user"); in.addRecipients(Message.RecipientType.TO, recipients); in.setSubject("Outgoing sms"); in.setContent("You have just sent an sms to: " + address + "\n" + "Message: " + msg); in.setPriority(Message.Priority.HIGH); Transport.send(in); in.setFlag(Message.Flag.OPENED, true); Folder folder = in.getFolder(); folder.deleteMessage(in); } } catch (IOException me) { System.out.println(me); } } }

  • .NET 4 ... Parallel.ForEach() question

    - by CirrusFlyer
    I understand that the new TPL (Task Parallel Library) has implemented the Parallel.ForEach() such that it works with "expressed parallelism." Meaning, it does not guarantee that your delegates will run in multiple threads, but rather it checks to see if the host platform has multiple cores, and if true, only then does it distribute the work across the cores (essentially 1 thread per core). If the host system does not have multiple cores (getting harder and harder to find such a computer) then it will run your code sequenceally like a "regular" foreach loop would. Pretty cool stuff, frankly. Normally I would do something like the following to place my long running operation on a background thread from the ThreadPool: ThreadPool.QueueUserWorkItem( new WaitCallback(targetMethod), new Object2PassIn() ); In a situation whereby the host computer only has a single core does the TPL's Parallel.ForEach() automatically place the invocation on a background thread? Or, should I manaully invoke any TPL calls from a background thead so that if I am executing from a single core computer at least that logic will be off of the GUI's dispatching thread? My concern is if I leave the TPL in charge of all this I want to ensure if it determines it's a single core box that it still marshalls the code that's inside of the Parallel.ForEach() loop on to a background thread like I would have done, so as to not block my GUI. Thanks for any thoughts or advice you may have ...

  • How to check the correct radio button.

    - by MrW
    I have a Table containing some information that I need. All these rows also contains a column with a radio button in it so that the user is suppose to be able to check one of the rows as default. When I'm bringing the data back from the DB and want to select the one that's currentlly the default one. <% foreach (var item in (IEnumerable<Locale>) ViewData["Locales"]) { %> <tr> <td> <%= Html.Encode(item.Language.Name) %> </td> <td> <input type="radio" id="defaultLocale" name="defaultLocele" value="on" checked="<%= item.Default == false ? "false" : "true" %>" /> </td> I've also tried to do this: <input type="radio" id="defaultLocale" name="defaultLocele" value="on" checked="<%=item.Default == false ? "" : "checked" %>" /> but nothing seems to do the right thing. I always end up with having the last row in checked, which it isn't for sure.

  • .NET: bool vs enum as a method parameter

    - by Julien Lebosquain
    Each time I'm writing a method that takes a boolean parameter representing an option, I find myself thinking: "should I replace this by an enum which would make reading the method calls much easier?". Consider the following with an object that takes a parameter telling whether the implementation should use its thread-safe version or not (I'm not asking here if this way of doing this is good design or not, only the use of the boolean): public void CreateSomeObject(bool makeThreadSafe); CreateSomeObject(true); When the call is next to the declaration the purpose of the parameter seems of course obvious. When it's in some third party library you barely know, it's harder to immediately see what the code does, compared to: public enum CreationOptions { None, MakeThreadSafe } public void CreateSomeObject(CreationOptions options); CreateSomeObject(CreationOptions.MakeThreadSafe); which describes the intent far better. Things get worse when there's two boolean parameters representing options. See what happened to ObjectContext.SaveChanges(bool) between Framework 3.5 and 4.0. It has been obsoleted because a second option has been introduced and the whole thing has been converted to an enum. While it seems obvious to use an enumeration when there's three elements or more, what's your opinion and experiences about using an enum instead a boolean in these specific cases?

    I have a huge chunk, so large that I can't manually edit the file and need to read it in and do regex operations to see what's wrong. Basically - my server is PHP 5.1.6 and I can't update it. This features an older json_decode which is less featured than the 5.2/5.3 versions. json_decode returns NULL and json_last_error is being invoked but the function doesn't exist except in PHP 5.3 so I'm manually trying to see what's wrong. $regex = '#[^0-9"$a-zA-Z{:}().]#'; $json = preg_replace( $regex, '', $json ); $tree = json_decode ( $json, true ); var_dump($tree); // NULL A snippet of the JSON.. somewhere in the middle {"109":0,"103":1,"102":59,"101":70,"100":4299,"94":0,"50":51,"46":0,"45":0,"44":0,"43":0,"42":0,"23":0,"22":0,"18":0,"17":1,"16":1,"13":160,"8":4298}},"2":{"d":{"109":0,"103":92,"102":54,"101":53,"100":4301,"94":0,"50":4278,"49":328,"46":1,"45":0,"44":1,"43":0,"42":0,"26":0,"23":0,"22":0,"18":0,"17":1,"16":1,"8":4300},"m":{"94":1,"100":1,"26":1,"50":1,"8":1,"49":1,"18":1,"43":1,"42":1,"109":1},"c":{"\/":{"d":{"109":0,"100":4301,"94":0,"50":4278,"49":328,"43":0,"42":0,"26":0,"18":0,"8":4300}},"G":{"d":{"109":1,"100":4303,"94":1,"68":17,"50":64,"49":53,"43":1,"42":1,"34":0,"18":1,"13":2216,"11":0,"8":4302}}}},"3": The }}}} is suspicious but this probably just closes 4 nested object literals. Would appreciate any insight.

  • Entity Framework EntityKey / Foreign Key problem.

    - by Ronny176
    Hi, I keep getting the same error: Entities in 'VlaamseOverheidMeterEntities.ObjectMeter' participate in the 'FK_ObjectMeter_Meter' relationship. 0 related 'Meter' were found. 1 'Meter' is expected. I have the following table structure: Meter 1 <- * ObjectMeter * - 1 VO_Object It is always the same scenario: The first meter is added to the database, the second meter gives the error above. I have the following code in my manager: public List<string> addTemporary(string username, string meterNaam, string readingType, string parentID) { Meter meter = new Meter(); VO_Object voObject = objectManager.getObjectByID(parentID); ObjectMeter objMeter = new ObjectMeter(); meter.readingType = (int)Enum.Parse(typeof(ReadingType), readingType); meter.isActive = true; meter.name = meterNaam; meter.startDate = DateTime.Now; meter.endDate = DateTime.Now.AddYears(6000); meter.uniqueIdentifier = "N/A"; meter.meterType = (int)Enum.Parse(typeof(MeterType), "NA"); meter.meterCategory = (int)Enum.Parse(typeof(MeterCategory), "NA"); meter.energyType = (int)Enum.Parse(typeof(EnergyType), "NA"); meter.utilityType = (int)Enum.Parse(typeof(UtilityType), "NA"); meter.unitOfMeasure = (int)Enum.Parse(typeof(UnitOfMeasure), "NA"); objMeter.valid_from = meter.startDate; objMeter.valid_until = meter.endDate; objMeter.Meter = meter; objMeter.VO_Object = voObject; createMeter(meter); List<String> str = new List<string>(); str.Add("" + meter.meterID); str.Add(meter.name); return str; } and this in my Dao Class which links to the database: internal void CreateMeter(Meter _meter) { _entities.AddToMeter(_meter); _entities.SaveChanges(); } Can someone please explain this error?   • PHP: exif_imagetype() not working?

    - by Karem
    I have this extension checker: $upload_name = "file"; $max_file_size_in_bytes = 8388608; $extension_whitelist = array("jpg", "gif", "png", "jpeg"); /* checking extensions */ $path_info = pathinfo($_FILES[$upload_name]['name']); $file_extension = $path_info["extension"]; $is_valid_extension = false; foreach ($extension_whitelist as $extension) { if (strcasecmp($file_extension, $extension) == 0) { $is_valid_extension = true; break; } } if (!$is_valid_extension) { echo "{"; echo "error: 'ext not allowed!'\n"; echo "}"; exit(0); } And then i added this: if (exif_imagetype($_FILES[$upload_name]['name']) != IMAGETYPE_GIF OR exif_imagetype($_FILES[$upload_name]['name']) != IMAGETYPE_JPEG OR exif_imagetype($_FILES[$upload_name]['name']) != IMAGETYPE_PNG) { echo "{"; echo "error: 'This is no photo..'\n"; echo "}"; exit(0); } As soon when I added this to my imageupload function, the function stops working. I dont get any errors, not even the one i made myself "this is no photo", what could be wrong? Just checked with my host. They support the function exif_imagetype()

  • How can I determine whether or not to add project items using IWizard?

    - by taarskog
    Hi, I am generating entity wrappers in VS2010 based on dynamic objects in a CRM system. In addition to the entity code, I want to add an EntityBase of which all entities inherit from. If the file exists in the project from before, it should not be added. I am using an IWizard implementation to give the generator the object names etc. Is it possible in the IWizard implementation to determine whether or not to add an item if it exists in the project from before? How do I get a hold of the project handle and its items in or before the ShouldAddProjectItem method? My code so far (not completed): public class EntityWizardImplementation : IWizard { public void BeforeOpeningFile(ProjectItem projectItem) { //Note: Nothing here. } public void ProjectFinishedGenerating(Project project) { //Note: Nothing here. } public void ProjectItemFinishedGenerating(ProjectItem projectItem) { //Note: Nothing here. } public void RunFinished() { //Note: Nothing here. } public void RunStarted(object automationObject, Dictionary<string, string> replacementsDictionary, WizardRunKind runKind, object[] customParams) { try { var window = new WizardWindow(); // Replace parameters gathered from the wizard replacementsDictionary.Add("$crmEntity$", window.CrmEntity); replacementsDictionary.Add("$crmOrganization$", window.CrmOrganization); replacementsDictionary.Add("$crmMetadataServiceUrl$", window.CrmMetadataUrl); window.Close(); } catch (SoapException se) { MessageBox.Show(se.ToString()); } catch (Exception e) { MessageBox.Show(e.ToString()); } } public bool ShouldAddProjectItem(string filePath) { // This is where I assume it is correct to handle the preexisting file. return true; } }

  • Using before_create in Rails to normalize a many to many table

    - by weotch
    I am working on a pretty standard tagging implementation for a table of recipes. There is a many to many relationship between recipes and tags so the tags table will be normalized. Here are my models: class Recipe < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :tag_joins, :as => :parent has_many :tags, :through => :tag_joins end class TagJoin < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :parent, :polymorphic => true belongs_to :tag, :counter_cache => :usage_count end class Tag < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :tag_joins, :as => :parent has_many :recipes, :through => :tag_joins, :source => :parent , :source_type => 'Recipe' before_create :normalizeTable def normalizeTable t = Tag.find_by_name(self.name) if (t) j = TagJoin.new j.parent_type = self.tag_joins.parent_type j.parent_id = self.tag_joins.parent_id j.tag_id = t.id return false end end end The last bit, the before_create callback, is what I'm trying to get working. My goal is if there is an attempt to create a new tag with the same name as one already in the table, only a single row in the join table is produced, using the existing row in tags. Currently the code dies with: undefined method `parent_type' for #<Class:0x102f5ce38> Any suggestions?

  • What is the best approach to embed mp4 for the iPhone without using JavaScript?

    - by usingtechnology
    I am trying to troubleshoot this code and am running into a dead-end, so I thought I would ask my first question here. I have three questions: 1) What is the best approach to embed an mp4 for an iPhone specific view, preferably without using Javascript? 2) Are there any preferred practices to debug code on an iPhone? 3) Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my specific code below? I should mention upfront that the variable $fileName does indeed contain the correct info, I've just omitted that portion of the code. Also, the poster image does flicker for a brief moment before I receive the greyed out, broken QuickTime image so that is an indication that this is partially working. Code: <object width="448" height="335" classid="clsid:02BF25D5-8C17-4B23-BC80-D3488ABDDC6B" codebase="http://www.apple.com/qtactivex/qtplugin.cab"> <param name="src" value="/libraries/images/$fileName.jpg" /> <param name="href" value="/libraries/media/$fileName.mp4" /> <param name="target" value="myself" /> <param name="controller" value="true" /> <param name="autoplay" value="false" /> <param name="scale" value="aspect" /> <embed src="/libraries/images/$fileName.jpg" href="/libraries/media/$fileName.mp4" type="video/mp4" target="myself" width="448" height="335" scale="aspect" controller="false" autoplay="false"> </embed> </object>

  • Disabling Text field with Javascript when value in drop down box is from mysql

    - by SteveJ313
    Hi I have a simple script in HTML, using a dropdown menu. When the value 1 is selected, the user can write in the text field, if value 2 is selected, it disables the text field. However, i changed the values of the dropdown menu, so that one value was from a mysql table(using PHP) and the other remained 'option value='1''. Yet now neither text field is disabled. Below is the code. `<script type="text/javascript"> function findselected() { if (document.form.selmenu.value == <?php echo $id; ?>) { document.form.txtField.disabled=true; // return false; // not sure this line is needed } else { document.form.txtField.disabled=false; // return false; // not sure this line is needed } } ` And the PHP section if(mysql_num_rows($SQL) == 1) { echo "<select name='selmenu' onChange='findselected()'>"; echo "<label>TCA_Subject</label>"; while ($row=mysql_fetch_array($SQL)) { echo "<option value='$id'>$thing</option>"; echo "<option value='2'>Choice 2</option>"; } } echo "<option value=$userid>'Choice 1'</option>"; ?> <option value='2'>Choice 2</option>"; </select> I have tried taking the second option value out of the loop, putting it into html, editing the variable in the javascript function. There is not a fault with the PHP as it is retrieving the right results and displaying it, yet the text field doesnt become disabled. Does anyone know of a possible solution? Thanks

  • How do I obtain selected rows in a DataGridView from different pages

    - by cmrhema
    Hi, I have a windows forms DataGridView, where I have data and a checkbox for each row. I will select check box for a particular row and all the selected rows will be populated in another page. if (grdEmp.Rows.Count > 0) { var selectedEmpIDs= from DataGridViewRow coll in grdEmp.Rows where Convert.ToBoolean(coll.Cells["Select"].Value) == true select coll; if (selectedEmpIDs.Count() > 0) { foreach (DataGridViewRow row in selectedEmpIDs) { selectedEmp+= row.Cells["EmpId"].Value + ","; } } } This works good only for one page. When I navigate to another page, and click the selected rows, the previous one goes off. How do I resolve it. Thanks cmrhema Note :Sorry for the confusion, When I meant it works good for a page, I meant paging. I think I need to add more inputs, There are 10 pages in the gridview. I select the first record from each page of the gridview, one after another by clicking next page( Page next button). But only the record that was selected the last is getting displayed and others and ignored off. What could be the prblm

    - by Polaris
    Hello friends. I created some logic for singleInstance application and I must to use my own entry point (not App.xaml) for Application. I have some styles in App.xaml which now is not working. How can I use this ResourceDictionaries from my App.xaml for entire project in my situation? My class for manage Application Startup public class SingleInstanceManager : WindowsFormsApplicationBase { App app; public SingleInstanceManager() { this.IsSingleInstance = true; } protected override bool OnStartup(Microsoft.VisualBasic.ApplicationServices.StartupEventArgs e) { try { // First time app is launched app = new App(); App.Current.Properties["rcID"] = e.CommandLine; //IntroLibrary.OpenDocumentFromNotify(); app.Run(); return false; } catch (Exception ex) { MessageBox.Show(ex.Message); return false; } } protected override void OnStartupNextInstance(StartupNextInstanceEventArgs eventArgs) { // Subsequent launches base.OnStartupNextInstance(eventArgs); Intro win = (Intro)app.MainWindow; if (eventArgs != null) { App.Current.Properties["rcID"] = eventArgs.CommandLine[0]; } IntroLibrary.OpenDocumentFromNotify(); app.Activate(); } } and my own Entry Point: public class EntryPoint { [STAThread] public static void Main(string[] args) { SingleInstanceManager manager = new SingleInstanceManager(); manager.Run(args); } } And my App.Xaml code behind: public partial class App : Application { protected override void OnStartup(System.Windows.StartupEventArgs e) { base.OnStartup(e); // Create and show the application's main window Intro window = new Intro(); window.Show(); } public void Activate() { // Reactivate application's main window this.MainWindow.Activate(); } } And my App.xaml has some code which decribe ResourceDictionaries which doesnt work. • JQuery transition animation

    - by kk-dev11
    This program randomly selects two employees from a json-object Employees array, winnerPos is already defined. For better user experience I programmed these functions to change pictures one by one. The animation stops when the randomly selected person is shown on the screen. The slideThrough function will be triggered when the start button is pressed. function slideThrough() { counter = 0; start = true; clearInterval(picInterval); picInterval = setInterval(function () { changePicture(); }, 500); } function changePicture() { if (start) { if (counter > winnerPos) { setWinner(); start = false; killInterval(); } else { var employee = Employees[counter]; winnerPic.fadeOut(200, function () { this.src = 'img/' + employee.image; winnerName.html(employee.name); $(this).fadeIn(300); }); counter++; } } } The problem is the animation doesn't work smoothly. At first it works, but not perfect. The second time the transition happens in an irregular way, i.e. different speed and fadeIn/fadeOut differs from picture to picture. Could anyone help me to fine-tune the transition?
