  • iPhone:Tabbar hides when pushing from TableView to UIViewController

    Hello all, I have four Tab bar items in a Tab bar which is being bottom of the view where i have the TableView. I am adding Tab bar and items programmatically (Refer below code) not through I.B. Click on first three Tab bar items, will show the data in the same TableView itself. But clicking on last Tab bar items will push to another UIViewcontroller and show the data there. The problem here is, when i push to the viewController when clicking on last Tab bar item, main "Tab bar" is getting removed.   • How to disable Safari Reader in a web page

    I'm curious to know more about what triggers the Reader option in Safari and what does not. I wouldn't plan to implement anything that would disable it, but curious as a technical exercise. Here is what I've learned so far with some basic playing around: You need at least one H tag It does not go by character count alone but by the number of P tags and length Probably looks for sentence breaks '.' and other criteria Safari will provide the 'Reader' if, with a H tag, and the following: 1 P tag, 2417 chars 4 P tags, 1527 chars 5 P tags, 1150 chars 6 P tags, 862 chars If you subtract 1 character from any of the above, the 'Reader' option is not available. I should note that the character count of the H tag plays a part but sadly did not realize this when I determined the results above. Assume 20+ characters for H tag and fixed throughout the results above. Some other interesting things: Setting <p style="display:none;"> for P tags removes them from the count Setting display to none, and then showing them 230ms later with Javascript avoided the Reader option too I'd be interested if anyone can determine this in full.

  • Grails and PermGen issue with g:link and g:render

    I've been running grails for sometime without any issues but recently after an upgrade to Grails 1.1.1, I've encountered the dreaded PermGen errors. Prior to the upgrade, no such issue. The error seems to be happening when the <g:link> and <g:render> tags are used in a GSP although I'm not sure it's indicative that this is the issue but more of the fact that it ran out of space when these tags were being rendered. Typically, everyone who encounters PermGen errors recommend increasing your java environment options -- but what maybe the source of the issue? Is it a Grails 1.1/hibernate/spring problem?     I have a XHTML string I want to replace tags in for example <span tag="x">FOO</span> <span tag="y"> <b>bar</b> some random text <span>another span</span> </span> I want to be able to find tag="x" and replace FOO with my own content and find tag=y and replace all the inner content with by own content. What is the best way to do this? I am thinking regex is definitely out of the question. Can XPATH do this or is that just for searching can it do manipulation?

    OK I have just posted another question which outlined my program but the specific problem was different. Now, my program just stops working without any message whatsoever. I'd be grateful if someone could help me here. It created 9 symlinks for some files in the # tag & reencode and the first three files in the ChillOutMix folder. The cmd.exe Window is still open and empty, and shows in its title bar that it is currently processing the mklink command for the third file in ChillOutMix. I tried to insert a time.sleep(2) after each cmdprocess.stdin.write in case Python is just too fast for the cmd process, but it doesn't help. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

    Hello, I am wondering how to limit the amount of tags, the tag_cloud function returns for this plugin. http://github.com/collectiveidea/acts-as-taggable-on Also, I would like to know how to order it so that it orders the tags by the highest count. So the most popular are at the top. I tried to do @tags = Post.tag_counts_on(:tags, :limit = 5) but that did not work.     I'm enabling Joomla SEF , and get the following results when I link to an article from a homepage (frontpage) article: anywebsite.com/component/content/article/26/141-Z1-Z2-Z3-Z4 but when linking from other articles I get the result I want which is : anywebsite.com/Categor/141-Z1-Z2-Z3-Z4 and the link is both equal which is : index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=141:Z1-Z2-Z3-Z4&catid=26 any idea?! Edit: Does manually linking with this SEF link is a good idea , instead of waiting for joomla to convert it .. ? atleast as a last resort?

  • Creating a QuerySet based on a ManyToManyField in Django

    So I've got two classes; Picture and Tag that are as follows: class Tag(models.Model): pics = models.ManyToManyField('Picture', blank=True) name = models.CharField(max_length=30) # stuff omitted class Picture(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length=100) pub_date = models.DateTimeField('date published') tags = models.ManyToManyField('Tag', blank=True) content = models.ImageField(upload_to='instaton') #stuff omitted And what I'd like to do is get a queryset (for a ListView) given a tag name that contains the most recent X number of Pictures that are tagged as such. I've looked up very similar problems, but none of the responses make any sense to me at all. How would I go about creating this queryset?

  • post_save signal on m2m field

    I have a pretty generic Article model, with m2m relation to Tag model. I want to keep count of each tag usage, i think the best way would be to denormalise count field on Tag model and update it each time Article being saved. How can i accomplish this, or maybe there's a better way?

  • Generate links for routes with non-parameter url segments on ASP.NET MVC 2

    I have a route defined with several hardcoded (non-parameter) segments: routes.MapRoute(null, "suggestion/list/by/{tag}", new { controller = "Suggestion", action = "List", tag = UrlParameter.Optional }); Suppose I'm in the Index view of SuggestionController, which has a Suggestion object for Model, how can I create a link that matches that route? I'd rather use one of the provided helpers and keep the route name as null in order to avoid hard-coding to much on my views, but I can't figure out how to user these non-parameter segments in Html.ActionLink or RouteLink methods. I've even tried to render the link using plain ol' html <a href="/suggestion/list/by/<%=Model.Tag %>"><%=Model.Tag %></a> but this somehow didn't match the route either. There's probably a very simple solution and I might be over-complicating things in mi mind, but I'm at a loss. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    Hi all, I'm using the field_for form helper with a loop: <% f.fields_for :permissions do |permission_form| %> <tr> <td><%= permission_form.object.security_module.name %><%= permission_form.hidden_field(:security_module_id) %></td> <td><%= permission_form.object.security_module.description %></td> <tr> <% end %> The resulting output of the above code is this: <input id="role_permissions_attributes_0_id" name="role[permissions_attributes][0][id]" type="hidden" value="76" /> <tr> <td>Diary<input id="role_permissions_attributes_0_security_module_id" name="role[permissions_attributes][0][security_module_id]" type="hidden" value="13" /></td> <td>Access to the Diary Module</td> </tr> <!-- next input field then <tr> tag --> The problem with this markup is that the input tag falls outside of the tr tag which there for causes validation issues with XHTML. Does anyone know how I can have the input tag fall inside the tr tag therefore giving me valid XHTML 1.0 STRICT markup? Thanks
