• How can I build multiple processes with TBB?

  Now I plan to parallelize my sequential solver. I hope I could run several copies of my solver(maybe with different parameters) in parallel simultaneously on a multi-core computer. can I do this with TBB? The reason I ask this question is that the book says: do not introduce anything in your code that will not allow single-thread execution. Any experts can explain this issue? Thanks.

  Hi, is it possible to know the time at which a contact was created. Actually I want to find all contacts created after a particular time (say 12:00 pm 29th march 2010). I thought that the contact ids were assigned in an increasing order and just noting the largest id at that point would suffice. But with Android 2.0, the internal sync may merge a contact with an existing one and hence assign an older id to it. I hope I have made my question clear

  I'm somewhat new to programming and am unsure how to deal with a segmentation fault that appears to be coming from a std function. I hope I'm doing something stupid (i.e., misusing a container), because I have no idea how to fix it. The precise error is Program received signal EXC_BAD_ACCESS, Could not access memory.   I would like to render an event to take up the entire space in a cell. For instance in the month view. Out of the box, the date is displayed on top, and then the event underneath. I want to ignore the date text and display the event over the intire cell, I don't want to hardcode the height of the event. • Auto-rebuild RAID6 with MDADM

  Hello everybody, i'm new in this forum, and because I see that a lot of people get helped here, i'll ask my question here! I have a openSUSE 11.3 Linux computer with 5 disks of 1TB (WD enterprise disks) in it. with mdadm I configured an RAID6 device. Now, after a lot of thorough testing, i've noticed that when the computer goes down unsuspectedly it could happen (1 time out of 10) that while booting, the md0 device isn't recognised, and then the machine goes in "recovery mode", which means that i have to 'CTRL + C' it so it can boot to openSUSE. Once in openSUSE i have to readd the drive manually with 'mdadm /dev/md0 --add /dev/sdX'. After this everything works back fine (after resynching). So my question is: Is there a way to auto-rebuild the RAID6 device when there are problems? and how can I stop this "recovery mode" from happening. Because the computer will be in a place I can't go to, to connect a keyboard, 'CTRL + C' it just to get in openSUSE. If you could help me, I would be a very very very! happy man! :-) thanks in advance! Mikhail

• Cannot install mercurial properly - PYTHONPATH error

  Hi, I have a server running on Ubuntu 10.04 on which I wanted to install Mercurial via % sudo apt-get install mercurial It seems to have installed successfully and doesn't show me any error messages. But when I try it I get: % hg abort: couldn't find mercurial libraries in [/usr/bin /usr/lib/python2.6 /usr/lib/python2.6/plat-linux2 /usr/lib/python2.6/lib-tk /usr/lib/python2.6/lib-old /usr/lib/python2.6/lib-dynload /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages /usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6 /usr/local/lib/python2.6/dist-packages] (check your install and PYTHONPATH) I've googled for a while now and found some sites with the same problem but I still have no idea on how to fix it since it nowhere really says what I need to look for or what I need to add to my PYTHONPATH... By the way, right now my PYTHONPATH seems to be empty: % echo $PYTHONPATH % This is what I get if I look into my /usr/lib/ directory for mercurial: % find /usr/lib/py* -name 'mercurial*' /usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/mercurial /usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/mercurial-1.4.3.egg-info /usr/lib/pyshared/python2.6/mercurial Can anybody please help me with that? What (and how) should I set my PYTHONPATH to? I already tried reinstalling, installing with "easy_install mercurial" or with "aptitude reinstall mercurial" but nothing helped. I always get this same error. Would be great if anyone could help... thanks!   Hi @all, on a test server I have installed the latest version of Confluence. I configured a apache with ajp. But I have a problem, when I login in Confluence, I get the following error message: Not Found The requested URL / / homepage.action was not found on this server. The problem seems to be known, I found following Link: http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Using+Apache+with+virtual+hosts+and+mod_proxy But unfortunately the forwards have not helped, I still get the error messages. Does anyone have any idea how I could solve the problem?
