  • Assigning a vector of one type to a vector of another type

    Hi, I have an "Event" class. Due to the way dates are handled, we need to wrap this class in a "UIEvent" class, which holds the Event, and the date of the Event in another format. What is the best way of allowing conversion from Event to UIEvent and back? I thought overloading the assignment or copy constructor of UIEvent to accept Events (and vice versa)might be best.

    I am creating a event using Intent intent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_EDIT); intent.setType("vnd.android.cursor.item/event"); And invoking the intent using startActivityForResult(intent, Constants.LINK_CALENDER); There is nothing returned to call in onActivityResult(int requestCode, int resultCode, Intent data) It always returns data=null ie., returned intent result is always null. I am trying to retrieve the "Done/Revert" state of calender event just created and some identity so that i can open the event again in future from elsewhere in code.

    I saw this in our codebase the other day: link.attr('style', map({ color: '#9a4d9e', cursor: 'default' })); map is defined as: function map(map) { var cssValue = []; for (var o in map) { cssValue.push(o + ':' + map[o] + ';') } return cssValue.join(';'); } Is map necessarily? Is there a shorter way to do this? It's important to note that the "style" attribute overrides any styles set by a class added/defined in the "class" attribute.

  • How do I track the method the user is looking at in VS 2010 IDE as an Addin

    I have been wandering around the object model for VS 2010 and haven't been able to work out the best method for watching what the user is looking at in the main edit window. I know that each Class/method/property is broken down into its own . What I would ideally like is to hook to an event which says "The user has moved the cursor onto Project.Class.Method" and ideally "and is looking at line 4". Any suggestions?

  • WPF performance for large number of elements on the screen

    Im currently trying to create a Scene in WPF where I have around 250 controls on my screen and the user can Pan and Zoom in and out of these controls using the mouse. I have run the WPF Performance Suite tools on the application when there are a large number of these controls on the screen (i.e. when the user has zoomed right out) the FPS drops down to around 15 which is not very good.   • WPF: Order of stretch sizing

    I'm creating a modal dialog window which contains three essential parts: a TextBlock containing instructions, a ContentControl for the dialog panel, and a ContentControl for the dialog buttons. Each of these parts are contained in a separate Grid row. I have some specific constraints when it comes to how the dialog should be sized. The issue I'm having is with the instructions TextBlock. I want the instructions to be as wide as the ContentControl for the dialog panel. The instructions should then wrap and grow vertically as needed. Should the instructions not be able to grow vertically, then it should begin to grow horizontally. Getting the instructions to be the width of the ContentControl and grow vertically was simple. The part I can't seem to figure out is how to get it to grow horizontally when out of vertical space. My initial thought was to create a class that extends TextBlock and override MeasureOverride. However, that method is sealed. Currently, I'm playing with the idea of have the dialog Window override MeasureOverride to calculate the available size for the instructions block. Am I missing a much simpler way of accomplishing this? Does anyone have any better ideas than this? Messing with MeasureOverride seems like it will be a lot of work.   • PHP: Simple, Validate if string is hex?

    I have no clue how to validate this string. I am simply supplying an IV for an encryption, but can find no "is_hex()" or similar function, I can't wrap my head around it! I read on a comment in the php documentation (user contrib. notes) this: if($iv == dechex(hexdec($iv))) { //True } else { //False } But that doesn't seem to work at all.. It only says false.   • What is your most productive shortcut with Vim?

    I've heard a lot about Vim, both pros and cons. It really seems you should be (as a developer) faster with Vim than with any other editor. I'm using Vim to do some basic stuff and I'm at best 10 times less productive with Vim. The only two things you should care about when you talk about speed (you may not care enough about them, but you should) are: Using alternatively left and right hands is the fastest way to use the keyboard. Never touching the mouse is the second way to be as fast as possible. It takes ages for you to move your hand, grab the mouse, move it, and bring it back to the keyboard (and you often have to look at the keyboard to be sure you returned your hand properly to the right place) Here are two examples demonstrating why I'm far less productive with Vim. Copy/Cut & paste. I do it all the time. With all the classical editors you press Shift with the left hand, and you move the cursor with your right hand to select text. Then Ctrl+C copies, you move the cursor and Ctrl+V pastes. With Vim it's horrible: yy to copy one line (you almost never want the whole line!) [number xx]yy to copy xx lines into the buffer. But you never know exactly if you've selected what you wanted. I often have to do [number xx]dd then u to undo! Another example? Search & replace. In PSPad: Ctrl+f then type what you want you search for, then press Enter. In Vim: /, then type what you want to search for, then if there are some special characters put \ before each special character, then press Enter. And everything with Vim is like that: it seems I don't know how to handle it the right way. NB : I've already read the Vim cheat sheet :) My question is: What is the way you use Vim that makes you more productive than with a classical editor?

    Hello I moved my access apllication from DAO into ADO connection. It works better but I am encountering a problem when I enter a value in a form's field then I push the tab button the screen takes me to the first fields of the form and I lose my activecontrol which is the control of the field in which i enter the value. N.B.: If I clicked the cursor using the mouse after applying the value in the specified field, it works properly... Any help will highly appreciated

Current code is: names = active_projects.collect {|proj| [proj.name, proj.id]} I have tried to add a truncate function to the block, but am getting undefined method for class error.   • Pagination - Twitter's people you follow

    Hi guys, im developing an Android application for twitter that will sync data coming from the people you follow. The problem is that: http://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/friends.json provides me the last 100 persons ive followed and i wanted to display only 20 for each 'page'. I believe that the 'cursor' parameter doesnt do what i need, so i'm trying to figure out a way to store it. Can you guys give me enlightenment? Thanks in advance

  • Why C# IntelliSense is delayed compared to VB.NET?

    In VB.NET projects, errors are highlighted immediately after cursor leaves the line. IN C#, I have to wait several seconds for IntelliSense to highlight it. Also, C# version doesn't show all project errors in "Errors List", unless you start to build it. Actually, it seems to work differently in every way. Is it possible to adjust that behavior?

But after clicking on the link which suppose to loads test.html, the CSS background still shows but "cursor:pointer" and "background-image" not longer works. What should I do to make it work?
