• Is there a way to highlight specific words or numbers without inserting a span tag?

  I've got blocks of text with various specs in them and want to have jquery highlight whatever matches a specific pattern without inserting any extra html. The following is the kind of text that I've got to work with. Intel® Core™ i7 Processor 920 (2.66GHz, 8MB cache, 4.8GT/sec)/ Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64bit- English/ 640 GB Serial ATA non Raid (7200 Rpm)/ 6GB 1333MHz (3x2GB) Tri Channel Memory/ Display Not Included/ 16X DVD+/- RW Optical Drive (DVD & CD read and write)/ 1.8GB NVIDIA® GeForce™ GTX260 graphics card/ Integrated HDA 7.1 Dolby Digital Audio What I'm hoping jquery can do is highlight some of the basic specs without inserting any extra html. Maybe working off a list of values matching the spec format using some wildcards where neededed? The css to select the correct tag is #list div div div+p or I could just give the p class but would rather not. Is this kind of thing possible?

  So I do this to retrieve my entire table: $result = mysql_query( 'SELECT * FROM mytable' ); Then, in another part of my PHP-page, I do another query (for a specific row): $result2 = mysql_query( 'SELECT * FROM mytable WHERE id = ' . $id ); $row = mysql_fetch_array( $result2 ); So, I'm performing two querys. However, I don't really have to do that, do I? I mean, the row that I'm retrieving in my second query already is present in $result (the result of my first query), since it contains my entire table. Therefore, instead of doing the second query, I would like to extract the desired row from $result directly (while keeping $result itself in tact). How would I do that?   How do you show ajax gif only for a specific request? For example my page is calling a web-service every 30 seconds in a background, and I don't want to show the gif during this callback. On the other hand I want to show the gif, when I'am making manual ajax requests. I am using jQuery. edit: I didn't setup the global handler as shown here http://api.jquery.com/ajaxStart/, just by attaching to the .ajaxStart event. But I don't want to show/hide the gif manually on every request too. I need some generic solution.

• Hudson: where to download file and stop specific builds running ?

  I have a file that is generated inside (hudson server) /var/lib/hudson/jobs/jobtitle/1/out.txt I need to fetch this file, but doing a GET request for http://myhudson:8090/job/jobtitle/1/out.txt doesn't actually locate the file. Basically, I have another box that will grab this file from the hudson server. This box will make the out.txt file available for download. Another challenge is the build number directories. How would I be able to use the hudson API to stop or delete the specific builds running ? I am forced to do iterate through all build numbers to send STOP or DELETE api call in php using wget to do the REST API call.   According to this, there's no way to convert a HRESULT error code into a Win32 error code.   Hi all, Trying to help a friend out with a friend out with some assembly code, but I've run into a small problem. I'm trying to work out how I would loop through a 8 bit binary word and check the value of specific bits. I need to check bits 1, 3, 5 & 7 to see if they are 1. i.e. int count = 1; int bitAdd = 0; foreach (var bit in word) { if (count = 1 || count = 3 || count = 5 || count = 7) { bitAdd += 1; } count += 1; } Help is much appreciated.

  I know that you can either step into every property or not step into every property, but I would really like to be able to step into a specific property, and not the rest. Is this possible? (I also know I can use keyboard commands, but I'm asking if there's a more permanent solution.) I have a lot of properties and my setters do important things, so it's silly to step over them, but most of my getters are pointless.   I have fileA.php on SERVER_A and fileB.php on SERVER_B fileB.php makes a curl request to fileA.php for it's contents How can fileA.php determine that the request is coming specifically from fileB.php? -- I was thinking about sending the $_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME'] in fileB.php to fileA.php but since someone can go into fileB.php or any file in general and just do $_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME'] = 'fileB.php'; it's not really that secure. So how can I determine, for security reasons, that the request is coming from a specific file on a different server?

  Unfortunately I'm not even sure how this sort of static analysis is called. It's not really control flow analysis because I'm not looking for function calls and I don't really need data flow analysis because I don't care about the actual values. I just need a tool that lists the locations (file, function) where writing access to a specific variable takes place. I don't even care if that list contained lines that are unreachable. I could imagine that writing a simple parser could suffice for this task but I'm certain that there must be a tool out there that does this simple analysis. As a poor student I would appreciate free or better yet open source tools and if someone could tell me how this type of static analysis is actually called, I would be equally grateful! EDIT: I forgot to mention there's no pointer arithmetic in the code base.

I just wanted to give preference in case there's more than one way to skin a cat, so to speak.

  I am trying to figure out how I can define an autocmd that influences all files under a specific path. The autocmd I have tried is something like autocmd BufNewFile,BufRead /specificPath/** imap <buffer> .... Now, I'd expect this autocmd to be used if I edited, say, /foo/bar/specificPath/baz/something/bla.txt, but not if I edited /foo/bar/here/and/there/moreBla.txt If I start vim being in a directory 'above' specificPath, this works as I want it. But it doesn't if I am below that directory. Obviously, the autocmd's pattern is matched against the relative file name, not the absolute one.

  Hi all, i am wondering how can i select specific number of child objects instead of taking them all with include? lets say i have object 'Group' and i need to select last ten students that joined the group. When i use '.Include("Students"), EF includes all students. I was trying to use Take(10), but i am pretty new to EF and programming as well, so i couldn't figure it out. Any suggestions? UPDATED: ok, i have Group object already retrieved from db like this: Group group = db.Groups.FirstOrDefault(x=>x.GroupId == id) I know that i can add Include("Students") statement, but that would bring ALL students, and their number could be quite big whether i need only freshest 10 students. Can i do something like this: var groupWithStudents = group.Students.OrderByDescending(//...).Take(10);? The problem with this is that Take< no longer appears in intellisense. Is this clear enough?   Currently one of our databases (SQL Server 2008) is accessed via a number of different mechanisms: .Net SqlClient Data Provider; SQL Server Management Studio; various .Net applications and 2007 Microsoft Office system (basically Excel). I see that in the sys.dm_exec_sessions DMV it is possible to see the program name of the program accessing the database for the current sessions. My question is: is it possible for one to deny access from a particular named program? First prize would be if this could be done for any named program, but we would gain a great deal of benefit from being able to deny access to this specific database from all Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel).

  Hi, I'm attempting to run unit tests for a static library that attempts to create/write/read a file in the document directory. Since this is a static library and not an application for the iOS, attempts to reference the NSDocumentDirectory is returning me directory for the form "/Users//Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/Documents" This directory does not exist. When attempting to access a directory from an actual application, the NSDocumentDirectory returns something of the form: "/Users//Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/4.2/FEDBEF5F-1326-4383-A087-CDA1B865E61A/Documents" (Please note the simulator version as well as application ID as part of the path) How can I overcome this shortcoming in the unit test framework for static libraries that implement tests that require iOS app specific calls? The highlighting will consist of the text being different colours and/or different styles such as italic, bold or regular. In order to narrow focus, how this might be achieved using Java Swing components.   Hi all, I already use both .live() and .bind('ajaxComplete') to accomplish certain related tasks, but I have found myself wanting to be able to listen for the 'complete' event of a specific DOM element which will call jQuery's .load() at various times. In this situation I don't want to listen for ALL complete events globally (unless someone can show me how to get the proper target from the event object returned by 'ajaxComplete'). I would like to be able to do something like this: $('.selector').load('url.php',{data:data},function(){ ... }); and then somewhere else, attach a handler to listen and execute some other code whenever that ajax call fires and completes: $('.selector').bind('complete',function(){ ... }); is there any way to do this? or must i always make use of the 'complete' event within the context of the load() method?

  This is a fairly simple question. Basically, I'm having a program send HardWare ID's to my PHP script as GET data. I need the PHP script check to make sure that HardWare ID is in a specific MySQL column, and if it is, { continue the script, } else { exit(); } Problem is I'm not too good with MySQL and have no idea how to do this. However, I feel that I should know this by now, so if someone could also link me to a good tutorial site for MySQL, that kind of keeps it "humanized" if you know what I mean. One that "dumbs it down." I'm not dumb or anything, I just get sidetracked easily, and if all its doing is showing me code and not explaining it, I won't pick it up. If you don't have any tutorial sites off the top of your head, I'll settle for help with the first question, and try to hunt down a tutorial later.

  I'm trying to install therubyracer gem for a rails project - http://stackoverflow.com/questions/13793533/unable-to-install-therubyracer-on-centos-errors-with-v8-and-gcc and i'm thinking that now that i installed g++44, that all i need to do is get gem install libv8 to use g++44 instead of g++. Is there a way to run gem install libv8 and to have it look at my updated g++ version?
