    Further to my earlier question about bridging different subnets - I now need to route requests for one particular IP address differently to all other traffic. I tried adding a static route on our local gateway with: route add -host 192.111.222.111 gw 129.2.2.126 dev eth2 I can successfully ping 192.111.222.111 from the router. When I trace the route, it lists the 129.2.2.126 gateway, but I just get * on each of the following hops (I think this makes sense since this is just a web-proxy and requires authentication). When I try to ping this address from a host on the 129.2.2.0/25 network it fails. Should I do this in the iptables chain instead? How would I configure this routing?

    I'm a little confused about which jQuery method and/or selectors to use when trying to select an element, and then remove certain descendant elements from the wrapped set. Ultimately, I need to set this up in such a way that I can define a configuration array, such as: var selectors = [ { select: '#article', exclude: ['#inset'] } ]; where select defines a single element that contains text content, and exclude is an optional array that defines one or more selectors to disregard text content from. Given the final wrapped set with the excluded elements removed, I would like to be able to call jQuery's text() method to end up with the following text: This is the first paragraph of the article.This is the second paragraph of the article.This is the third paragraph of the article.   • how to set global PATH on OS X?

    I'd like to append to the global PATH variable on OS X so that all user shells and GUI applications get the same PATH environment. I know I can append to the path in shell startup scripts, but those settings are not inherited by GUI applications. The only way I found so far is to redefine the PATH environment variable in /etc/launchd.conf: setenv PATH /usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/my/path I coulnd't figure out a way to actually append to PATH in launchd.conf. I'm a bit worried about this method, but so far this is the only thing that works. Does anyone know of a better way?

    What is the best way to set the RGB components of every pixel in a System.Drawing.Bitmap to a single, solid color? If possible, I'd like to avoid manually looping through each pixel to do this. Note: I want to keep the same alpha component from the original bitmap. I only want to change the RGB values. I looked into using a ColorMatrix or ColorMap, but I couldn't find any way to set all pixels to a specific given color with either approach.

  • Unable to set .NET 4 on Application Pool from remote, works locally on server

    I have setup Remote Administration for IIS successfully and connected to it. For some reason .NET Framework 4 doesn't show up as an option when configuring the Application Pools from remote even though .NET 4 is installed on both server and client (not that client should matter). If I login to the server with RDP and configure the Application Pools it work as intended, the option shows up. Even more odd is if I edit an Application Pool that already runs .Net 4 it shows up as an alternative (kind of strangly formatted text though, just says v4.0 instead of .NET Framework v4.0.30319 ) How should I proceed to solve this?

    I copied an image from MSPaint and pasted it into a Word document I'm working on. For some reason the image hides behind the text even with the default "in line with text" setting. Trying other settings don't work as expected either. It does the same when I insert a picture from a file. Can anyone shed any light what would be causing this and how to fix it - I am guessing some formatting issue in the existing document?

By default, all traffic is redirected through the tunnel using OpenVPN's "two more specific routes" trick, but I disabled that. From 3.2 SDK I can in code use something like: [self.tableView setBackgroundView:[[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"mycustombackground.png"]]]; But how can I do the same in interface builder?     I have configured my email server to cache all email to my mailbox. So [email protected] and [email protected] go to one mailbox. Every forum, registration, and guy get their own address for sending me emails so I can deliver it to /dev/null if anyone start spamming. That's the working setup. Now the problem: If I reply to a message, then Thunderbird always sets my default Identity as sender. I know I can add additional identities, but I don't want to add every address. How can I configure when a email is sent to [email protected], I answer with [email protected].

  • How to set up Windows 7 Professional as a NAS

    I searched and didn't find any answers, so please forgive me if this is a repeat. Anyway, I have an older computer that I'm using as an HTPC, and I was hoping that I could use it as a NAS/multimedia server, as well. My primary uses would include accessing content on my PS3 (same LAN), accessing content from other computers on my home network and (if I can) accessing content from my Android phone over the internet. I have used SubSonic to stream music to my Android phone and other computers before, but I would really like to find a way to do this natively if possible. I know that I can buy external hard disk cases that can plug in the USB port of my router, that I can get a Drobo or other network storage solution, but I would really just rather not spend the money (especially considering that I already have a computer that I should be able to use). Hardware involved: Apple AirPort Extreme base station router (most recent revision) Home Theater Personal Computer: Core 2 Duo @ 2.4GHz, 8GB DDR2 RAM, ~3.5TB hard drive space Sony Playstaiton 3 Thin 120GB HTC Thunderbolt (I have 4G coverage) rooted and running Android 2.2.1 Various Apple laptops Various Windows 7 desktops/laptops Thanks in advance! Note- I have looked at open source NAS software but I would like to preserve the Windows Media Center functionality in Windows 7, so other NAS software is not an option for me currently. .
