• tool to remove repeated css selectors

  I have 3 stylesheets that I have copied and pasted all into 1. As such, there are identical/repeated selectors. Is there an effective tool I can use to remove all repeated selectors if the style properties are identical? Another requirement is if the repeated selector exists once within a group of selectors and once as a standalone selector... the program will remove the selector AND properties of the standalone only (not delete the properties of the selector in a group). I have no clue if this is possible, but have just spent a few hours looking for one with no avail. Anyone know of anything close? Thanks in advance!

• Collection of MVC CSS files available?

  Just curious - are there various customized Site.css files (and accompanying images) that work with the default ASP.NET MVC 2 templates? I'm a stereotypical developer who "doesn't do pretty" so I'd like to find a design that is good enough for me to use until I later have a designer come back and fix my design. Are there collections/libraries of various designs out there that work with the default templates? I did find this but the 2 popular ones I tried seem like they're for MVC 1, plus they in no way used the default tags with the MVC 2 templates.

  hi all. i'm writing a component that is to be used across multiple websites. each website has it's own stylesheets and displays certain things differently. all of my html is wrapped within a div with an id: <div id="myComponent">...</div> my component however is to look consistent across all of the sites. this is fine as i apply styling to most of the attributes in my component. div#myComponent p {font-size:11px;} etc however i've come across a site that removes the border from all input fields input {border: medium none;} i need to 'un-apply' this directive for the input fields within my component, and preferrably use the browser's default styling for inputs, as the border style for input type="text" will need be different to input type="button". how would you achieve this?

• Problem opening SFX archive file(.exe) using the archive manager

  I have installed both rar and unrar using apt-install but I am still not able to use archive manager for opening the archive file.. I have also tried installing p7zip(p7zip-full and p7zip) but no improvements... However, when I use command-line for extracting the files from the archive using unrar or rar the command executes successfully... Is there any other open source software I should install for viewing the contents of the SFX archive or what else should I install to view the same in the archive manager.. Thanks in advance...

  Hello, looking for some help with images referenced within the stylesheet. I have no problems with these from non secure locations within the site but only from https. The stylesheet loads fine and displays everything correctly except for the images. example: body { margin: 0; padding: 0; background: url(/img/background_tile.gif) top left repeat-x; text-align: center; background-color: #fff; } All my css files and other image paths inside the code use relative urls to images. How can I make sure they all work fine without hard coding my image paths with https or http? I want the code to work fine with http and https. Thanks

  What is the easiest way to align a div whose position is relative horizontally and vertically using CSS ? The width and the height of the div is unknown, i.e. it should work for every div dimension and in all major browsers. I mean center alignment. I thought to make the horizontal alignment using: margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; like I did here. Is this a good cross browser solution for horizontal alignment ?   Hello, I have a little vb.net script that will copy a file, set its attributes to Normal, update the file time, and then set back the attributes to match those of the source file. If IO.File.Exists(Destination) Then IO.File.SetAttributes(Destination, IO.FileAttributes.Normal) IO.File.Copy(Source, Destination, True) IO.File.SetAttributes(Destination, IO.FileAttributes.Normal) IO.File.SetLastWriteTimeUtc(Destination, IO.File.GetLastWriteTimeUtc(Destination).AddHours(1)) IO.File.SetAttributes(Destination, IO.File.GetAttributes(Source)) I however I'm encountering a quite strange problem. On some configurations, IO.File.SetLastWriteTimeUtc triggers an UnauthorizedAccess error, although the IO.File.Copy instruction worked very well. I'm totally puzzled: I've checked, and file attributes are set to 128 (ie. Normal) successfully. The problem seems to be with the very SetLastWriteTimeUtc. But what is it? Any ideas? Thanks a lot!

  Hello there, is it possible to follow a link by it's class name instead of the id, text or title? Given I have (haha, cucumber insider he?) the following html code: <div id="some_information_container"> <a href="edit" class="edit_button">Translation here</a> </div> I do not want to match by text because I'd have to care about the translation values in my tests I want to have my buttons look all the same style, so I will use the CSS class. I don't want to assign a id to every single link, because some of them are perfectly identified through the container and the link class Is there anything I missed in Cucumber/Webrat? Or do you have some advices to solve this in a better way?   Hi guys, i've no idea how i can set properties for an iframe that's positioned 300px from the top, but should reach ALWAYS the bottom! So at the moment i've set the height of the iframe to 500px. The height should dynamically change when i resize the browserwindow. The iframe should start 300px from the top and should always reach the bottom. I'm not much of an css expert.   Hi. In my page there's only one image. Kind of 1500x3000 px. In the printer, I need that this image's maximum width to be the width of the page, so I did: width 100% in the css, and it works. But the height... the old bullshit of height 100% will never work. Because it always will be 100% of the parent container, then someone must have height defined. Or html or body. So, my question is: make this image fit in one page. Any ideas?

  I'm on my first approach with photoshop patterns.I'm buildin a webpage where I want to use my pattern to give a nice effect to my webpage background. The pattern I found is 120x120 px If I was done here I should use this css: background-imag:url(mypattern.jpg); background-repeat:repeat; But Im not done.Id like to *add to my page's background a linear gradient(dir=top/down col=light-blue/green) with the pattern fill layer on top of it, with blending mode=darken *. This is the final effect: I come to the point. QUESTION: Combining linear vertical-gradient effect and my 120x120 pattern is it possible to find a pattern that I could use to repeat itself endlessly both vertical and horizontal??which is a common solution in this case?
