• Cannot position Google +1 button with CSS?

  I'm having some trouble positioning the Google +1 button on my website. The div is as follows: <div class="g-plusone"></div> The CSS I'm using is pretty simple: .g-plusone { position: absolute; top:95px; left:715px; } I know for a fact that the div in question is being accessed. What's strange is that other social sharing buttons, such as the FB like below follow the same syntax and are positioned perfectly. .fb-like { position: absolute; top:62px; left:715px; } Any ideas?

• CSS Issue in Firefox/IE

  I'm working on a site's CSS and am running across an issue with the body margin section. If you look at this in Firefox and then IE, you can see the line isn't lined up right in Firefox, but it is in IE. (In the black header section). • Systematically resolve conflicting styles in css

  I have some stylesheets from different sources in my web project. I want to harmonize them. Some styles I need from the one, some from the other. Is there a tool or method how to systematically resolve style conflicts? I tried IE8 developer tool, and yes, it is possible to view conflicts at the level of each element. But I have many elemens, so if I do it element by element I think this takes too long. Theoretically there could be a tool that shows conflicts of two css files at design time?!? I think this would save me a lot of time.

  I want to construct a div that has a header with background like that some content with a background of one pixel repeated at y(or not?) and a footer with background like that resulting in something like that with some text in the div content I want to have the same result with 5 lines or 50 lines of text.   Hi All. I recently coded and launched a website that displays consistently across Chrome, Firefox, Opera, IE8, IE7, and Safari. According to site visitors, though, the signup forms at the top and bottom of the site are mangled on the iPhone. I do not own an iPhone and I rarely test sites on the iPhone, and I would really hate to purchase it or an iPod Touch for the sake of occasional CSS/display testing. Question: is there a site online or a program I can use (I'm on Windows 7) for iPhone testing? An alternative question might be why the signup forms aren't displaying properly on the iPhone, when they look fine in all other browsers and a few other mobile devices that I've used? Many thanks.

  I’m looking to create a web page with 6 coupons on it, two per line in a web space of 1275 X 1650. Each coupon space will consist of a different image. The problem is I will be creating 20 such web pages that will have these coupons on them. Now some of the same images will appear in different locations/positions on the various web pages. Is there a way to update the same image that appear in different locations/positions at the same time? And what language is used to complete this? I’ve tried CSS but it don’t think it’s possible. So should I be using JavaScript.

• Strange CSS Positioning issue with a fader on a responsive site

  I'm developing a prototype responsive wordpress theme version of my homepage. I'm running into issues with the fader on the homepage. http://dev.epicwebdesign.ca/epicblog/ When the image switches, it uses position:absolute to overlay the pictures, then goes back to position:relative. I need to make the absolute be relative to the bottom left corner of the menu instead of the top left corner of #wrap so it doesn't overlap. I tried putting it in a container div like this: http://wiki.orbeon.com/forms/doc/contributor-guide/browser#TOC-Absolutely-positioned-box-inside-a-box-with-overflow:-auto-or-hidden but that doesn't seem to work. Any ideas? There are major CSS compatibility issues in IE, try it in chrome. It should look similar to http://epicwebdesign.ca. When the browser window is shrunk horizontially, the whole theme compensates.

  I have an IIS web site. This web site contains other web sites so the structure is like that. \ MainWebSite\ App1\ App2\ All sites are Asp.net MVC Webapplications. In the MasterPage of App1 i reference the Script-files like that <script type="text/javascript" src="../../Scripts/jquery-ui-1.8.custom.min.js"></script> The Problem is that he now tries to find the File at http:\server\MainWebSite\Scripts.... how can i workaround that? should i put all my Scripts and CSS files into the root directory is that a preferred solution?

  I need a function to change the appearance of some elements in my html page "on the fly", but I am not able to do. The problem is that I cannot use a command like document.write ('body {background-color: #cccccc;}'); because I need to make the changes effective when the page is already loaded, using a link like <a onmouseclick="Clicker(1)" href="#">clic</a> and I cannot use a command like document.body.style.background='#cccccc'; because I do not know if it can be applied to other not so easy cases, because I need to change the appearance of elements such as td.myclass or sibling elements such as th[scope=col]+th[scope=col]+th[scope=col]. • FF3/Windows CSS z-index problem with YouTube player

  I'm stuck on what appears to be a CSS/z-index conflict with the YouTube player. In Firefox 3 under Windows XP, Take a look at this page: http://spokenword.org/program/21396 Click on the Collect button and note that the pop-up <div appears under the YouTube player. On other browsers the <div appears on top. It has a z-index value of 999999. I've tried setting the z-index of the <object element containing the player to a lower value, but that didn't work. Any idea how to get the pop-up to appear over the player?

For example, in this simple example when you hover over #cube it changes the background-color but what I that when I hover over #container, #cubeis affected. • Weird Jquery/CSS Menu Issue

  Hey All, I have a jquery drop down menu with jquery and css to style it. However, every time you hover over the menu options and go back and forth, it seems to leave pieces of the menu left over. Any ideas where this is coming from and how to get rid of it? • CSS cross browser compatibility on Ubuntu

  Hello, I'm currently working in web development and my default desktop is Ubuntu and I'm kind of happy with the setup and applications I got going. But I need to test web pages for cross browser compatibility while still being on Ubuntu. I have gone through hell trying to get IE7 or IE8 (with wine) to run on ubuntu and when they finally worked they were very buggy and the graphics/scrolling was insanely slow. Of course there is the option of virtual box but again, too much GBytes just to run a small application! So to all the CSS gurus out there, how can I continue with my beloved Ubuntu and still deliver a good quality (tested) page. Thank you.

  Basically, I like default theme widgets. However, I need to change font size on DecoratedStackPanel widget. I think it should be possible with something like this: decoratedStackPanel.getElement().getStyle().setProperty("fontSize", "12pt"); However, "fontSize" is not valid name for property and I didn't find way how to get all element's properties. Therefore, I don't know correct property name. Any ideas? Please, don't post about inheriting widget or writing custom CSS. I like default one but the font size. This should be possible afaik.
