• extern "C" has no effect in msvc++ 9.0

  I manage project for JNI for both compilers: MSVC++ 8.0 and 9.0, my cpp file contains following implementation: extern "C" { JNIEXPORT jlong JNICALL Java_context_ServiceProviderContext_StartServiceProvider (JNIEnv * env, jclass, jstring jspath){ ..... } With help of depends.exe utility I can see that MSVC 8.0 successfully exports function as it is expected: Java_context_ServiceProviderContext_StartServiceProvider But compiling under MSVC 9.0 gets me crazy it exports like ignoring extern "C" at all. depends.exe shows me: _Java_context_ServiceProviderContext_StartServiceProvider@12 Does anybody know what exactly in 9.0 project that causes this behavior?

Application1 uses database1 on ServerX Application2 uses database2 on ServerY Both application communicates over web service API, they are apart of the same application, one application is used to manage user's profile/personal data, while the other application is used to manages user's financial data. Or should just put them together and just use 1 database on the same server?

  I'm working on a website where a logged-in admin needs the ability to upload and manage multiple PDFs from their computer. They'd need to be able to upload/remove the files. Also, there would need to be a way that they can sort the list of uploaded files and save that order so that other visitors to the page would see the list of files in that particular order. I have a reference to a CodeClass-Object for a given C#-Class but now I wanted to loop through all of its members (in codeClass.Members) and check their types. However I can't manage to retrieve the type of the given member from the CodeElement-Object that I get when looping through codeClass.Members. How can I retrieve the type (int, string etc.)? PS: Reflection is not an option for my usecase.

• IPython doesn't work in Django shell

  I've just recently switched over to using 64-bit Python 2.6.1 on Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard). IPython won't work with Django anymore, but IPython works from the command-line. The error says: shell = IPython.Shell.IPShell(argv=[]) AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'Shell' I could use the ./manage.py --plain option, but it's not really a fix. Any help very gratefully received!

  When I use comet using iframe push, the browser throbber will keep spinning forever while the data is being pushed through the iframe. Lightstreamer is also using iframe, but how do they manage to make it stop? I found a similar post here but it doesn't seem to solve my problem.   I need to check if a c# WinForm Window (FORM Class) has been initialized and waiting for user events. But I could not find out how to manage that. Therefore I had the idea to set the Control.IsAccessible Flag of the Form to true, within the OnLoad Event of the Windows Form. You can make the factory to retry connecting a certain number of times but... is it possible to make some actions each time that a reconnection retrial is neccesary?
