  • Show Eclipse RCP's welcome page at every startup

    Is there a way to force an RCP product to show a welcome page every time it the RCP was stared? (By default, the Welcome page is only shown for the first time the RCP is stared.) I tried org.eclipse.ui/SHOW_INTRO=true in plugin_customization.ini, but it did not do the trick... Thanks, Frank

    I need to lookup function parameters(their types infact) from PDB file From dbghelp, we can parse any pdb and can get info like how many functions,addresses function names and others etc. My problem is I am also interested to get function parameters as well. As SYMBOL_INFO structure in callback function only contains symbolName,Addresses and Size. How can we lookup PARAMETERES(in/out Types/names)of any function. Regards Usman

  • Problem using a public key when connecting to a SSH server running on Cygwin

    We have installed Cygwin on a Windows Server 2008 Standard server and it working pretty well. Unfortunately we still have a big problem. We want to connect using a public key through SSH which doesn't work. It always falls back to using password login. We have appended our public key to ~/.ssh/authorized_keys on the server and we have our private and public key in ~/.ssh/id_dsa respective ~/.ssh/id_dsa.pub on the client. When debugging the SSH login session we see that the key is offered by the server apparently rejects it by some unknown reason.   • Regex slow on Windows Server 2008

    Hi I have a situation where my regular expressions compile extremely slowly on Windows Server 2008. I wrote a small console application to highlight this issue. The app generates its own input and builds up a Regex from words in an XML file. I built a release version of this app and ran it both on my personal laptop (running XP) and the Windows 2008 server. The regular expression took 0.21 seconds to compile on my laptop, but 23 seconds to compile on the server. Any ideas what could be causing this? The problem is only on first use of the Regex (when it is first compiled - thereafter it is fine) I have also found another problem - when using \s+ in the regular expression on the same Windows 2008 server, the memory balloons (uses 4GB+) and the compilation of the Regex never finishes. Is there a known issue with Regex and 64 bit .net? Is there a fix/patch available for this? I cannot really find any info on the net, but I have found a few articles about this same issues in Framework 2.0 - surely this has been fixed by now? More info: The server is running the 64 bit version of the .net framework (3.5 SP1) and on my laptop I have Visual Studio 2008 and the 3.5 framework installed.   • Is it possible to search using type information in visual studio

    It comes up from time to time and I'm wondering of it's possible to use type info when searching in visual studio, or is there a plugin that includes this? I'd like to search for the phrase "x == " or "x.ToString();" where x is of type 'Person'. The normal regex searches are strictly searching the text as opposed to the content and I figured out a long time ago that any thought I have is never the first.

    I have a UIWebView that loads and external product configuration web service UI that is basically a bunch of dependent Drop Down lists. The problem is the Drop Downs are basically enhanced text input's so when the user taps them to display the options the UIKeyboard keeps popping up and own after they make their selection. it is less than a fluid process. Is there anyway to suppress the html inputs from triggering the UIKeyboard?

    I just ran these two commands: sudo gem install rails --pre sudo gem install railties --pre Now when I run rails myapp, I get this: -bash: /usr/local/bin/rails: No such file or directory Here's some system info: $ ruby -v ruby 1.8.7 (2009-06-12 patchlevel 174) [i686-darwin9.7.0] $ sudo gem update --system Updating RubyGems Nothing to update I tried copy/pasting the bin/rails file into /usr/local/bin/rails, and changing permissions to sudo chmod 755 /usr/local/bin/rails, but that doesn't work.     I've created a windows service in c#, using Visual Studio 2008 I pretty much followed this: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/dotnet/simplewindowsservice.aspx I created a setup project, as instructed to in the article, and ran it... it installs my service to c:\program files\product etc.... however, it does not then appear in the services list.. What am i missing?

  • phpThumb cannot find ImageMagick / Imagick

    Hi, I'm having a problem with phpThumb. It says in the documentation that to get the best out of it, use ImageMagick / Imagick. I've got this installed on the Server (running Centos 5.1), and can run convert --version and get the right info back. I can also run which convert which returns /usr/bin/convert However, phpThumb can't location the convert program - the demo's show that: (requires ImageMagick, this server is running "n/a" so it will not work) Does anyone have any pointers on how to fix this?     Hello Everyone Yesterday I installed the Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 on a Windows Server 2003 which has Unicenter Software Delivery 4 installed. Prior to the installation I disabled every CA service on the server (Brightstor, SDO , RCO, TNG) and the MS SQL 2000 service. After the installation of the SP2 I enabled the services again but the Unicenter Service is not able to connect to the MS SQL 2000 Database anymore. The database itself is up and running and I can connect to it with the Enterprise Manager. A dbcc checkdb doesnt return any errors on the Unicenter database.     Can Castle ActiveRecord do optimistic locking on properties? I found optimistic locking for the entire class, but not for an individual property. In my case, I need to make it so that adding/removing elements in a collection does not update the version number of the entity (so for example, adding a Product to a Store without changing any of Store's properties will not increment the version number).

    IE has WinInet API, such as GetUrlCacheEntryInfo, to read and manipulate IE browser cache. Is there a similar API for non IE browsers such as Firefox or Chrome? If so where can I get more info? Thanks Update: According to following (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/61453/accessing-firefox-cache-from-an-xpcom-component) the WinInet function GetUrlCacheEntryInfo() can be accomplished by nsICacheSession.openCacheEntry() to get nsICacheEntryDescriptor. Is there an equivalent WinInet function CreateUrlCacheEntry() which will create a cache entry?

    Would it be possible to integrate Python (and/or Perl) and Ruby with some degree of transparency? I've looked at http://www.goto.info.waseda.ac.jp/~fukusima/ruby/python/doc/ and http://code.google.com/p/ruby-perl/ , but they both seem rather outdated. Perhaps this is not an appropriate approach, but would it be possible to generate a Ruby interface for Python's C API?
