  • Loop and ListView

    - by monomi
    I find a match with Regexp. How to correctly organize a loop, if more than one match and write it in the ListView? listAlbums = (ListView)findViewById(R.id.listAlbums); ... Pattern patternNameToId = Pattern.compile(kRegexp); String nameTo = "" Matcher matcherName = patternNameToId.matcher(response); if (matcherName.find()) { nameTo = matcherTopicTitle.group(2); albumsList = new ArrayList<String>(); albumsList.add(nameTo); ArrayAdapter<String> adapter = new ArrayAdapter<String>(context, android.R.layout.simple_list_item_1, albumsList); listAlbums.setAdapter(adapter); } else Toast.makeText(context, "?? ???????", Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show();

  • Long To XMLGregorianCalendar and back to Long

    - by JD.
    I am trying to convert from millisecond time stamp to XMLGregorianCalendar and back, but I seem to be getting wrong results. Am I doing something wrong? It seems I am gaining days. // Time stamp 01-Jan-0001 00:00:00.000 Long ts = -62135740800000L; System.out.println(ts); System.out.println(new Date(ts)); // Sat Jan 01 00:00:00 PST 1 .. Cool! // to Gregorian Calendar GregorianCalendar gc = new GregorianCalendar(); gc.setTimeInMillis(ts); // to XML Gregorian Calendar XMLGregorianCalendar xc = DatatypeFactory.newInstance().newXMLGregorianCalendar(gc); // back to GC GregorianCalendar gc2 = xc.toGregorianCalendar(); // to Timestamp Long newTs = gc2.getTimeInMillis(); System.out.println(newTs); // -62135568000000 .. uh? System.out.println(new Date(newTs)); // Mon Jan 03 00:00:00 PST 1 .. where did the extra days come from?

  • Validating parameters according to a fixed reference

    - by James P.
    The following method is for setting the transfer type of an FTP connection. Basically, I'd like to validate the character input (see comments). Is this going overboard? Is there a more elegant approach? How do you approach parameter validation in general? Any comments are welcome. public void setTransferType(Character typeCharacter, Character optionalSecondCharacter) throws NumberFormatException, IOException { // http://www.nsftools.com/tips/RawFTP.htm#TYPE // Syntax: TYPE type-character [second-type-character] // // Sets the type of file to be transferred. type-character can be any // of: // // * A - ASCII text // * E - EBCDIC text // * I - image (binary data) // * L - local format // // For A and E, the second-type-character specifies how the text should // be interpreted. It can be: // // * N - Non-print (not destined for printing). This is the default if // second-type-character is omitted. // * T - Telnet format control (<CR>, <FF>, etc.) // * C - ASA Carriage Control // // For L, the second-type-character specifies the number of bits per // byte on the local system, and may not be omitted. final Set<Character> acceptedTypeCharacters = new HashSet<Character>(Arrays.asList( new Character[] {'A','E','I','L'} )); final Set<Character> acceptedOptionalSecondCharacters = new HashSet<Character>(Arrays.asList( new Character[] {'N','T','C'} )); if( acceptedTypeCharacters.contains(typeCharacter) ) { if( new Character('A').equals( typeCharacter ) || new Character('E').equals( typeCharacter ) ){ if( acceptedOptionalSecondCharacters.contains(optionalSecondCharacter) ) { executeCommand("TYPE " + typeCharacter + " " + optionalSecondCharacter ); } } else { executeCommand("TYPE " + typeCharacter ); } } }

  • req.getParameter returns values wrong character encoding

    - by coder247
    I'm trying to get values from a JSP using getParameter which includes ü,é,à etc. But get wrong values in servlet. I've checked the content type with firebug and found that Content-Type text/html;charset=UTF-8 checked the POST section with firebug and found the correct value there, when I try to access it in servlet it is wrong. Gives ö instead of ö req.getCharacterEncoding(); returns null. Tried with setting req.setCharacterEncoding("UTF-8"); at the beginning of servlet but didn't help.

  • Text input for multi-valued attribute

    - by Sean
    I need to create an input form that will allow a user to enter any number of values for a particular attribute. I've tried several approaches, all of which seem to have various levels of failure. The latest model bean looks something like: public class Product { private String name; private String[] tags; ...accessors... } The input fields look something like: <h:inputText id="name" value="#{product.name}"></h:inputText> <h:inputText id="tag0" value="#{product.tag[0]}"></h:inputText> My plan was to allow the user is to use javascript to add additional form fields as needed. This type of setup gives me a 'Target Unreachable' error. What am I missing? I am using JSF 1.1 on WebSphere 6.1

  • getting IllegalAccessException when accessing a protected method from parent from inner class

    - by EnToutCas
    I got a very weird problem and a weird solution: class Parent { protected void aProtectedMethod() { doSomething(); } } class Child extends Parent { void anotherMethod() { new SomeInterface() { public void interfaceMethod() { aProtectedMethod(); } }; } } When child.anotherMethod() is run, I got IllegalAccessException at myProtectedMethod(), saying my inner class doesn't have access to the Parent class... However, if I add: protected void aProtectedMethod() { super.aProtectedMethod(); } in my Child class, everything is fine... I wonder why this is?

  • Why is native libmpg123 taking so long on android with libgdx?

    - by cmbryan
    I'm trying to use the gdx-audio extensions, but am having trouble decoding mp3s. It works, but very slowly!! A 10-second file is taking 6.57 seconds to decode :( Here is the method: public void decode() { Mpg123Decoder decoder = new Mpg123Decoder(externalFile); short[] sampleArray = new short[1024]; // read until we reach the end of the file while (decoder.readSamples(sampleArray, 0, sampleArray.length) > 0) {} } Can anyone tell me why this is taking so long?

  • How to check if there is an active session in a JSF page?

    - by Roberto de Santis
    Hi, there is a way to check if there is an active session directly in jsf page? I have try this but it doesn't work: <p:ajaxStatus onerror="#{session == null ? 'idleDialog.show();' : null}" thank you in advance @Update I have see that onerror isn't fired even if viewExpiredException occurr. @Update 1 Ok i have implemented something that may work: <h:form> <p:idleMonitor timeout="10000" idleListener="#{idleMonitorController.idleListener}" onidle="sessionPoll.stop();idleDialog.show();"/> </h:form> <p:dialog header="Sessione scaduta per inattività" widgetVar="idleDialog" modal="true" width="400"> <h:outputText value="Sessione scaduta" /> <h:button value="Ripristina Sessione" onclick="idleDialog.hide();sessionPoll.start();" /> </p:dialog> <h:form prependId="false"> <p:poll widgetVar="sessionPoll" interval="1"/> </h:form> and this is the listner: public void idleListener(IdleEvent event) { System.out.println("aaaa"); final HttpServletRequest request = (HttpServletRequest) FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getRequest(); request.getSession(false).invalidate(); } now the only problem is that the session.invalidate doesn't work

  • Extracting a given number of the highest values in a List

    - by James P.
    I'm seeking to display a fixed number of items on a web page according to their respective weight (represented by an Integer). The List where these items are found can be of virtually any size. The first solution that comes to mind is to do a Collections.sort() and to get the items one by one by going through the List. Is there a more elegant solution though that could be used to prepare, say, the top eight items?

I tried this, "^(.*\t+)+" but that doesn't work.

  • XMLAdapter for HashMap

    - by denniss
    I want to convert a list of items inside of my payaload and convert them into a hashmap. Basically, what I have is an Item xml representation which have a list of ItemID. Each ItemID has an idType in it. However, inside my Item class, i want these ItemIDs to be represented as a Map. HashMap<ItemIDType, ItemID> The incoming payload will represent this as a list <Item>... <ItemIDs> <ItemID type="external" id="XYZ"/> <ItemID type="internal" id="20011"/> </ItemIDs> </Item> but I want an adapter that will convert this into a HashMap "external" => "xyz" "internal" => "20011" I am right now using a LinkedList public class MapHashMapListAdapter extends XmlAdapter<LinkedList<ItemID>, Map<ItemIDType, ItemID>> { public LinkedList<ItemID> marshal(final Map<ItemIDType, ItemID> v) throws Exception { ... } public Map<ItemIDType, ItemID> unmarshal(final LinkedList<ItemID> v) throws Exception { ... } } but for some reason when my payload gets converted, it fails to convert the list into a hashmap. The incoming LinkedList of the method unmarshal is an empty list. Do you guys have any idea what I am doing wrong here? Do I need to create my own data type here to handle the LinkedList?
