• Google Chrome in Incognito Mode still logging visits history

  I am using Incognito Mode and today I have noticed that when I frequently visit some site in that mode browser logs it and even on not incognito mode it autofills in address bar making Incognito mode useless in my case. Another fun thing is that the item is not in History so I can't manually remove it. Couldn't find anything in Settings. Why is this happening? BTW, instant search is disabled in my case. • Model M Keyboard inputs incorrect characters after logging in to Fedora

  I recently bought a 24 year old IBM Model M keyboard. From what I gather, it'd been left on a shelf for the last 5 years, so you can imagine the amount of dust dirt and crap that was on it. Before cleaning it, I plugged it in to my laptop (running Fedora 17) using a PS/2 to USB adapter. What I found was, while it still works, the keys I press don't correspond to what is displayed on the screen. So for example, when I type S on the keyboard, I get ß display on the screen instead. At the time, I put this down to the adapter not working properly. Since then, I stripped the keys off the keyboard and cleaned the whole thing. It looks like it's just come out of a box! I then plugged it in to my computer (also running Fedora 17) via a standard PS/2 plug. The computer loaded up to the login screen, and I typed in my password. Pressed enter, and I logged straight in to my machine. At this point, I opened up a text editor and started typing some stuff. To my horror, the keystrokes I was entering weren't coming up as intended. What came up instead were characters that would map to the pressed key but only under a different keyboard language setting. I opened up a program to see what keyboard language had been selected, and the correct one for the keyboard was selected (which is UK in my case). I opened up a window that would show what characters mapped to what keys, and I pressed every single key on the keyboard, and every corresponding block representing each key lit up. I went back to the text editor to try again, but I was still getting these random characters. Whats more is that the backspace key would not work, although in the other utility it would flash when pressed. What I know is that at the login screen the keyboard must have entered the correct characters, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to log in. Further more, keys that don't respond while using a text editor as sending signals to the computer, as illustrated in that keyboard utility. The question is why random characters are displayed when they really shouldn't be? Would this be a hardware fault or a software issue?

  Few months before when I was using Ubuntu 12.04 then I found some errors while starting my computer. Due to this problem I had given my CPU to a shop to repair it I don't know what he has done to my CPU but I only know that finally I got my CPU with Ubuntu 13.04. The technician was unable to make any partition and I also think that he had installed 13.04 over 12.04 and so now my computer is showing some error when I'm starting my computer the error is as follows: error: attempt to read or write outside of the disk 'hd0'. grub rescue _ Before showing this error, few times my computer was working very slow. So kindly someone tell me that is there any way by which I can start my computer.   I have been using VMWare on Windows for a long time. But after a long wait, I moved to VirtualBox on Ubuntu 11.10. I installed Ubuntu, 32 Bit, installed all available updates and installed Virtual Box.   Sky doesn't seem to understand what their own errors mean, so I cobbled together an understanding from some other posts and managed to get it working.When you see the error [t6013-c1501] instead of your TV programme in Sky Go, it seems to mean:'You registered a device, but then changed the hardware, so now I'm confused!'In other words, the Digital rights management (DRM) used between Sky Go and Silverlight stored an old fingerprint of your PC, but rather than recognising this and allowing you to remove the device, it just disappears from the 'Manage Devices' page.DISCLAIMER: Perform the following steps at your own risk. It worked for me, but I didn't care if it broke stuff. If you care....don't do it!So, to fix this I did the following:1. Login to Sky Go and click 'Watch live TV' from the home page. It will attempt to show Sky News and fail with the error [t6013-c1501].2. Right click on the error and you should see the Menu option 'Silverlight'. Select this and a dialog should appear. Click the 'Application Storage' tab and delete any entry that relates to sky go. Clcik OK to close the dialog.3. Open explorer and navigate to the folder C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\PlayReady4. Rename the file mspr.hds to mspr.hds.OLD5. Go back to the browser and click F5. You may need to logout/login (not sure).Note: Don't rename/delete the folder C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\PlayReady or you will get the error [t6000-c1501]. I'm having issues with an SFTP client and the creator is asking for logs, but I am unable to find any existing logs. I'm looking to log on both or either CentOS or OS X (although I suspect if it's possible, it'd be similar on both).

  I've stared at this for at least half an hour now and I cannot figure out what directx is complaining about. I know this error normally means you put float3 instead of a float4 or something like that, but I've checked over and over and as far as I can tell, everything matches. • Putty freezes at random when logging into a remote machine in another continent

  I have to ssh to a remote machine in Europe from Asia every day for my work. But Putty freezes sometimes at totally random times and I have no choice but to close and re-open a new ssh session. It's frustrating especially when I'm editing something or executing a long running program. I know the question really doesn't have much details ('cause nothing seems to be wrong with the network at all). Has anyone experienced this sort of issue with Putty and had resolved it? • Postfix not delivering from external senders and not logging anything

  Some semi-recent upgrades must have broken my postfix+dovecot configuration, but I'm having problems finding out what the cause is. My domain is simendsjo.me with the MX record mail.simendsjo.me. I can send mail to both local and external recipients, and it delivers mail from internal mailboxes. The problem is that mail from external senders isn't delivered, and nothing is logged at all. The external sender also doesn't receive any errors. I have no idea where to ever start looking as nothing is logged at all when external mail is sent to my server. So the first issue would be: How can I turn on some debug messages for postfix? I've tried: debug_peer_level = 2 debug_peer_list = simendsjo.me .. And _level = 999 and _list = gmail.com where I'm trying to send emails from. but nothing is logged. When sending mails from a local mailbox (but from an outside computer, not localhost), a lot is logged. I don't have any rules in iptables either. Any ideas how I can get some debug messages for postfix?

But thing is, I don't see any of that kind of lines in log file (If I am looking in the right place, that is. :) It is at /var/log/messages, isn't it?). So, what do you think might be the problem here? I should note, that this is the first time I'm using linux, so don't expect ANY working knowledge of Linux at all... :) Also, since english is not my mother tongue, feel free to point out any gramatical mistakes... :) Thanks for any advice.

  Currently running Ubuntu 13.10 after a fresh install/re install due to this problem. The error occurs whenever I try to drag a file from the Ubuntu search( in the launcher ), to the desktop. the whole error message is as follows... "Error while copying. There was an error getting information about “/”." Show more details reveals the following... "The specified location is not supported" I don't understand the problem and can't see any clear way of fixing it. Any and all advice would be appreciated. :)

• WGet a Page that Requires Logging in

  I’m trying to figure out a way to use WGET or a similar tool so that I can schedule a web page to be downloaded regularly as a sort of updating log. The problem is that the page requires that I be logged in otherwise I get a different page, generic. Further, the page does not take login information as GET parameters in the URL, it uses POST to log in on the login page and cookies to save the login information that’s read by the regular page. I’m currently using GNU Wget 1.10.2 for Windows. I’ve tried using WGET’s cookie functionality but have had mixed results, usually skewing towards it not working. Can anyone please advise on a way to accomplish this? Thanks a lot.

• Logging in over ssh in a different session?

  I don't know exactly what the correct term is, but I notice if I log in to a remote SSH server, then close the window, open a new one, and log into that server again, my bash history and user processes appear to be different. For instance, if I started a background process I can't get back into it, or something I typed won't show up in my bash history. The problem is for some reason occasionally something happens to my remote session and instead of being disconnected the session just hangs; I have to close the window and open a new one to reconnect. As a result sometimes it means a long running process basically is "lost" since I can't get back into it. Is there any way to set it up so that when I log back in I log back in to the same "session"? This is using OS X Terminal.

When we make requests to our server on a subdomain (api.blah.com), the request does not show up in the access logs However, requests made directly to blah.com do show up in the access logs.
