    I am getting the following message when attempting to connect to our company's SVN repository - the same error occurs whether I try from the OSX command line or Eclipse. Any ideas on where to troubleshoot? I can access from other similar computers and others in my team do not have any problem - this issue started occurring on my MacBook Pro yesterday afternoon (no known changes were made to the OS prior to problem starting). $ svn co http://example.ca/cwl/tags/app svn: OPTIONS of 'http://example.ca/cwl/tags/app': Could not read status line: connection was closed by server (http://example.ca)*

  • good PCI-e Wireless card for Windows7?

    Hi I've just build a 64bit Windows 7 PC but am unhappy with the piddly performance of the linksys USB wireless dingle I've used. Can anyone suggest a good PCIe alternative that will be stronger for connection and maybe faster. I dont see why my desktop should show a weaker performance on wireless than my laptop when its sat next to it or even my Palm Pre for that matter. any thoughts?     I would like to see the changes that my co-workers have made before I accept the incoming changes. So I start by getting the status svn st -u ...which tells me that I've got an incoming change * 9803 incomingChanges.html M 9803 localChanges.html M * 9803 localAndIncoming.html I can see what I've changed svn diff localChanges.html ...but how can I diff incomingChanges.html and/orlocalAndIncoming.html to show what has been changed, and how it's different than my working copy?

  • Run a specific Windows application with different regional settings?

    We have an old VB6 application, written in the UK, which we want to run on a client's server in Canada. The application must have some hard-coded date formats in it somewhere, as it's misinterpreting dates, eg, 6th April is getting recorded as 4th June. I know I could change the user's date format, but this would affect all applications. Is it possible, perhaps with some sort of wrapper script, to set specific regional settings for this single application?

  • soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 11s! error with Xen virtual machines

    Getting a kernel panic with this error on my XEN VPS's. (all on 8.04 LTS) The kernel version on my Dom-0 is 2.6.24-25-xen and the kernel version on the Xen VPS is also 2.6.24-25-xen. I read something about disabling APIC from here http://muffinresearch.co.uk/archives/2008/08/20/ubuntu-bug-soft-lockup-cpu0-stuck-for-11s/ but that doesn't seem to help as well. Anyone experienced this and are there any workarounds? Thanks in advance!

  • I have a collection of dead consumer grade routers, should I buy a real one?

    Am I crazy for considering purchasing a Cisco 2621 for the house? I am familiar enough with IOS to set up a simple gateway router, I don't really need the experience. At this point, I'm a developer so my days of crawling through CO's and under desks are long past me. But I am really sick of crappy consumer grade networking gear. Maybe I have lousy luck and this stack of WRTG54s is just because I have lousy power, or whatever.

    I'm working on creating a date/time user control in WPF using C# 2008. My first user control. I'm also using Matthew MacDonald's book, "Pro WPF in C# 2008". In that book he strongly recommended creating a user control using the WPF Custom Control Library project template; so I followed his suggestion. I've finished writing the code which would go into what I think of as the code-behind file. Now I'm ready to write the XAML. The only problem is, I just discovered there is no corresponding .xaml file? So, I don't get why using a WPF Custom Control Library project is better, or prefered, when writing a user control?

    It appears that installing Windows 8 on top of XP doesn't give you the option to choose the locale and other settings -- I've got the right keyboard layout restored, and can change the system locale to be for the UK, but there doesn't appear to be any way to change the time zone -- choosing the option to try and change the time zone gives error: Date and Time Unable to continue You do not have permission to perform this task.
